The manager in the shop greeted me and explained everything I needed to know precisely, and the team was perfectly efficient. I was in and out in about 12 minutes with notes about what else I should be concerned with . They replaced an air conditioning filter I did not even know existed. These guys are A++++ in my book and yes I have been to this location in Germantown, TN many times before. I learned Valvoline was the best oil available about 42 years ago when I worked with a man that had previously serviced fleets of automobiles who found damage from other oils that ruined engines. I never forgot it so for me it has been a lifetime commitment. Bravo to these guys who add quality, expediency and precision products and services to the people who support them.

This review is not about the quality of oil change, but about my perception of injustice.I might be wrong but I got a terrible impression about this place. I waited in line, I was the next one to be served, then an employee came and asked me to move to another line pointing at me another car which was just entering the lot.

Very professional. Very good price. Really fast work.it is a good place to go for oil change. they also accept you to bring your oil and provide just service charge.

Great service! It only took about 20 minutes to get the oil changed in my vehicle. The only negative is that they always show me my air filter and ask if I want to buy a replacement every time I get my oil changed. Air filters have a replacement schedule and you can't really tell much just from looking at them. For my F250 the replacement interval is 30,000 miles so I don't need a relpacement at every oil change.

Didn't close my engine air filter compartment after checking. Was wandering why my engine was running hard & very loud. Called spoke with manager he said he was on lunch. Said I could bring it back & they would close it. I live over an hour from this store. Tire pressure wasn't checked or updateI stopped for oil change because it was close to my job & previous visit was good. Paid for service. I want a Refund.I will be contacting the BBB, if a solution isn't resolved.

This has to be the slowest location in the city of Memphis. I understand that each car has a different need but all the mechanics are walking around like they have nothing to do, no sense of urgency. Then it seems like it takes eternity for an oil change. Valvoline is supposed to be somewhat convenient but sitting in the car for an hour+ is ridiculous. If you don't have enough workers to manage 3 bays that day....don't have all 3 bays open smh.

I have been to this location several times but today was the worst experience I have ever had. They told me they fixed my blinker on the passenger side that I paid for and it was not fixed. They had a line behind me and people yelling because they had been waiting due to their incompetence. Also they couldn t put on the windshield wipers that they up sold to me because they couldn t get them to fit. I waited over an hr and still the services I requested was not done. They were trying to recharge my credit for the actual services they were supposed to provide and got frustrated when they system went down allegedly which I figured it would be stuck on my credit card both charge attempts. Thanks Valvoline for wasting my whole day for nothing.

I always receive great service at Valvoline. They walk you through everything they do and you can see them working on the monitor to your left. In and out and never leave your car. Great work people!

I will be stopping back by there tomorrow to speak with a service manager. I received an oil change followed by one of the workers attempting to reset my oil light. He proceeded to press the buttons on my steering wheel repeatedly in attempts to cut the oil light off. He then said to me that he didn t know how to do it & that I should get on YouTube to figure it out. Now none of the buttons on my steering wheel work. The buttons were working fine on my steering wheel before the guy attempted to assist with the oil light. It s very inappropriate to tell a client to result to YouTube. He should ve just stopped if he didn t know what he was doing. I hope that after I speak to the service manger tomorrow that they can get have the problem fixed. I will give an update regarding this review at a later date.Service: Oil change

I was happy that they took me early as they were still opening up. However, after specifically asking for 5w-20 oil, they used 5w-30 because the pump for the other was broken. I noticed and said something and the manager kindly offered to drain the new oil and put in the oil I asked for by hand. Very friendly crew and very quick!

Sadly I had to change my review to 1 star in early 2023. I previously rated this location 5 stars but it has gone way down. A few months ago an employee negligently put weight on a piece in my engine and broke it, it cost me $150 to fix and they offered no compensation. Today, I tried to give them another chance but the wait time was over 30 minutes when they told me it would be less than 10 minutes. Not sure if they ve changed managers or just employees but sadly I no longer recommend this location.At the time of writing (1/27/22) the Poplar Valvoline in Germantown is by far my favorite place to take my car for oil changes. Take 5 and Firestone have provided horrendous service recently. The staff at this Valvoline are polite, courteous, and knowledgeable. Today I watched the manager train a new employee, he was a informative and patient without being condescending, which is a hard quality to find in a good manager. Best of all, he was doing this while servicing my vehicle and another customer and it didn t diminish any of his efficiency. These skills are evident in the other employees at this business.

Very friendly staff. Explained everything they were doing. I brought my own oil and oil filter and they were very quick at their job. There was a line to get in so be prepared to spend a few minutes waiting but it is not long wait.

When I called to ask about getting the oil change I was told that the full synthetic would be for up to 6 months/6k miles. I didn't check my sticker when I left like I normally would. When I did look at it I realized it was for 3/3k. So I called back and was told all of their oils changes are for 3/3k. This was my first and last visit. I could have gone somewhere for less money and received 6/6k. This place was just closer to my job. The customer service was good during the oil change.

Received an oil change months ago went back a few months ago like November and was told they couldn t give me an oil change because my oil cap was put on tightly. Spoke with district manager, Will, who never got back to me about fixing the problem that they created. Very much unprofessional because here I am in 2022 still can t remove the oil cap and still haven t received any feedback or recognition. I definitely wouldn t recommend this location to anyone!!!

I ve been coming here for years and no matter who helps me, it s always an A+ experience. I m not a car person, and they explain things in ways I can understand them and never pressure me to feel like I have to purchase all the extra stuff. They re honest, friendly, and helpful every time! Not to mention I m in and out in less than 20 minutes.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

I have been to this location probably 4 times in the past few weeks and every time the young guy either ignores me, tells me to come back in a hour because they are going on lunch or say it s going to be an 30min- hour wait until they can get the next car and he is always rude when he says it and rolling his eyes. I just need air in my tires and I am waiting 20 mins and the people are just standing there looking at me. I am a nurse and work my hardest everyday to help people in need and believe I deserve a little more respect then this location provide especially with all the money I have spent as a customer here! Very disappointed.Services: Tires, Oil change

They are very fast at changing your oil. They get you right in and out. If you call ahead of time even if its 2 minutes they will still give you a coupon. I love this shop and wouldn't go anywhere else.

My mom had raved about this place so I finally went today because my husband's truck needed it's oil change. They went above and beyond in less than 20 minutes. They were so thorough and nice. All the employees worked so smoothly together. Definitely will be back.

I had wonderful service when I stopped by this morning. A co-worker recommended the place, as I am normally weary about taking my car anywhere because I seemed to get screwed every time. I had to wait a few minutes to get serviced, but my oil change took no time. Ayden was very kind in sharing, and not pushing, other services my card will need soon. I've been duped too many times before and this was a refreshing experience!

Ive been going here for a while and it was fine until today. The manager was not very helpful or nice and he yelled at me and threatened to not service my vehicle because of an oil leak and call his boss about my car being a danger to his staff. He and his colleagues need to learn how to handle this situation. They just yelled and got mad at me like I had done something wrong. I've brought this car here several times before and never had this happen. He didn't offer any help or advice or service. He only offered me with threats not to service my car. I understood the concern, but what did he want me to do about it. It was the most unprofessional experience I have had in a very long time. I won't be going back.

They did an oil change and a tire rotation on my 2011 Nissan Frontier. . The tire rotation took a little longer than I might have thought it should, but no big deal. But this evening I got a check engine light that will not extinguish. So I will be bringing it back first thing tomorrow morning. The oil change was performed on 20 October. So only a few days ago. Perhaps there is no connection. But we will find out. Edit - I brought my truck in and they addressed the issue with the light promptly and it was resolved.Services: Tires, Oil change

For a supposed to be 15 minute oil change, i waited in line for over 2 hours and only had 3 cars infront of me when I pulled in. If the parking lot wouldnt have been backed upand I could have turned around and went somewhere else I would have unfortunately I couldn't because of cars being behind me. After watching 3 cars that were actually originally behind me get to skip me and go through Bay 2 for an Oil change(the same exact service I needed) I decided to call and talk to the manager. He didnt seem concerned at all nor did he even come to my car with a simple apology. I am not pleased at all with the service at the southaven location at all today.Service: Oil change

Was in the area on a trip and stopped for an oil change. Mitch was amazing! He was very professional, knowledgeable, and such a breath of fresh air. Bravo to this location for doing it right and setting a standard all other locations should strive for.

I ve been to this location a few times. Great customer service! They didn t try to pressure me into buying a bunch of items just because. But they did let me know what needed to be changed and when.
