Affordable transmission is not at the location given on the maps. It's across the tracks and on main street to the right.He has rebuilt two jeep transmissions for me and at a reasonable price. No complaints even after two and three years on the rebuilds. Time is the best report for any mechanical repairs and they beat the time test.Highly recommended!

My transmission works for now but for the "deal" he gave me I am paying for it now. I'm dishing out more money for things I had just fixed before I took my vehicle to Mike which had nothing to do with the transmission but somehow started malfunctioning after I got my truck back. My radiator being the main thing. I had just replaced it myself, no leaking, no cracks and topped off the fluid and it was running great. When I got the truck back, the radiator was nearly empty and now I have to replace my thermostat and waterpump. I was planning on giving Mike more money for helping me out but after getting my truck back and finding all the things I am having to re-repair I think I'll be looking for an honest mechanic who will tell me when they can't do it for less in stead of dragging me on for weeks and having no regard for integrity. If Mike says he'll give you a deal be prepared to be without that vehicle for a month and getting it back with more problems than you went in with. The picture shows an example where there were 4 simple bolts to remove and Mike simply just cut the plastic and zip tied it back in place. The bolts weren't rusted closed. I had just put them there myself. Is the radiator even connect to the transmission in any way that this would be necessary?

After having issues with my truck I went to a little shop in englewood. Affordable transmissions. After looking at it Mike the shop owner, explained my problem and gave me an estimate that i found reasonable.He Finished in a timely manor and my truck is still running great after 8 months.Thanks Mike . And i would recommend this shop to anyone in need.

Okay, I had an experience recently with Mike at Affordable transmissions and... I was very shocked. You see I read the reviews but being sent by Jeff Robert's from Roberts Auto I knew I should give Mike the benefit of the doubt, and I'm sooo glad I did. Did it take a little longer than I thought? Yes it did. Did he do an excellent job? Yes he did!! Mike has a small shop, you know to keep your bill down, and I learned he's a perfectionist. If it ain't right he will keep it until it is. Also unlike you folks, I assumed when I left my car that I might not be next in line. To me its kinda like changing someone else's recipe and posting what you didn't like, you know to try to keep those of us that are happy with his work. I'm not petty so if I don't like something I don't go put a review, I simply don't go back. I'm just glad I ignored the reviews and went to him because I drive a Toyota and I now 'Love what it does for me' Now this is my honest and unbiased opinion, and no I'm not his kin folk.

So on. Or about July 2016 I bring my jeep wrangler in for a transmission rebuild. I recieve a written one year warranty. Jan 8 2017 my transmission goes haywire. I take it back for repair (less than one year later). After a couple of weeks from not hearing from him I start calling. No voice-mail set up on his phone. He doesn't return any calls. I drive by his shop and half the time it is closed. After a few tries I finally reached him and he says it will be next week. Which just estimating would be around 16-20 Jan. Days come still no jeep. Last Friday ( 10 Feb 2017) he calls and says it is in his shop and I should get money or tuesday.( 13 or 14 Feb 2017) call Monday no return call. So Tuesday valentine's day he calls and tries to argue that it out of warranty!! Now after a month and half why are you going to call and say it is out of warranty? Simply because he is a substandard business and probably could not afford to back up his warranty. It would have been fine if either A he offered to fix it free labor and me provide the parts. I'm not an unreasonable person. However this place will no longer have mine or anyone I can have hear my opinion. I will drive 4 hours away to avoid his business. Now if you do not like someone this would be the place to send them.

I went to Mike. And he was very helpful in solving my transmission problem. Even after reading Gugg ruuuz review I still went to Mike because almost ever review gugg writes he has something bad to say about every place he goes. and that can't be his real name guggg ruuuz so if someone can't even give his real name and uses foal language can't be trusted in his reveiw.My experience with Mike was good. a great price and my car is working perfectly.Thanks for Being an honest person Mike I will reccomend you to anyonePeople don't listen that garbage guggg Ruiz is spreading
