You Gotta Hit This Place Up!Alright, check it out: I rolled into Lock s Store/Macye s Grill not knowing what to expect. But man, was I blown away. Right off the bat, they served up these fried banana peppers that were like a high-five to your taste buds. Light, crispy, and just the right kind of kick to make you think, Where have you been all my life? Then the vinegar slaw it s not your grandma s coleslaw, it s this zippy, zesty remix that gets your palate dancing. But the real showstopper? The ribeye. This isn t just a steak; this is a culinary rockstar grilled to a T. It s like they knew exactly how to coax out that flavor that says, This is what a steak is supposed to taste like. Let s be real: The place is out of the way, but if you re the type that s looking for that heck yes meal, this is it. The service is as stellar as the eats the folks here are all about making your meal memorable. And the vibe? It s got that everyone s welcome feel.In all, if you re on the fence about making the trip, hop off and get in the car. Lock s Store/Macye s Grill is the kind of place you ll leave already planning your next visit. Stellar service, killer atmosphere, and food that s out of this orbit. Do it.

My husband found a hair in his loaded potato. We waited for the waitress who never showed. I gave my husband half my potatoe. Finally, after waiting 20 minutes and not even getting a refill I went and found someone. They brought my husband a plain potato and a go box. They never said sorry or anything. I talked to the owner who said I was yelling when I was not. They didn't say sorry or even take off the $1.99 charge for the bacon and cheese! Horrible! The pork steak was very dry too! I won't be back especially bc the owner doesn't think she is responsible. The waitress said the hair was under the potato as if that mattered!

Stopped on a whim in Dyersburg while traveling to Decatur from Watford ND. I asked the motel clerk about a sit down restaurant (i don't remember EVER doing this before) and was pointed to this place. MAN, i think it was kismet or something, call it what you will but this place is THE BOMB! I highly recommend taking the time to eat here.I should also mention the service was exceptional! The atmosphere was pleasant. They were busy but it was diner time on a Saturday evening and i think i only waited 30 minutes, maybe less.

First time trying Lock s Store, and was not disappointed!! Well slightly, because the country fried steak is only served Thursday nights .. But their catfish and baked beans were absolutely superb!! Baked beans had ample bacon and the right amount of brown sugar!! Outstanding crispy catfish, flaky and NOT fishy tasting!! Fried pickles as appetizer was worth trying ..perfect crispness with perfect seasoning to give dill vs saltiness a well balanced taste sensation! Didn t even need the ranch dressing side! Sweet tea was delicious too, wait staff were wonderfully warm and friendly, taking care of each customer like they were family! Met owner too!! A great guy! Will be back to try ribs, burger and of course Thursday for the country fried steak!

A must try local favorite. This place is small town, southern charm! Be sure to check the hours- a rather strange schedule, but you will not be disappointed by the food choices, the deliciousness, & the southern hospitality.

Go. Just go. The fried banana rings are worth the drive alone. I had the pork steak (oh my goodness),Baked beans (so good), onion rings and corn. All good. That pork steak was like your own Boston butt. That thing was huge. My husband got the ribs they were great and he said he'd go back just for the vinegar slaw and green beans. Already planning our next time.

My wife and I arrived at 7:00 pm on September 8th, with one couple sitting in the rocking chairs inside and we were told by the girl at the register to have a seat and someone would be at the stop counter to receive our party number and be seated in a bit. So we sat down, 10 minutes later another couple came in and stood at the "stop counter" followed by two more couples. Finally a lady comes to the "stop counter" takes all the folks name and then takes ours and the first couple that were actually first. I couldn't help but notice the attitude of the employees seemed a bit agitated and I soon learned why. One waitress walked by I asked what's going on and at 7:25 she said "yes we are supposed to close at 8:00 tonight" At this point I knew we should leave without eating and after driving from Somerville an hour and a half away we had screwed up. We checked the website and it said nothing about closing early. We would love to try this food some day but I'm not sure it's worth it.

Best pork steak I've ever had! The atmosphere, service, and staff were amazing!! We are visiting from San Antonio, Texas and the smoked pork steak is by far better than any barbecue/smoke restaurant in Texas!

1st - No reservation/reservation It s the job of the owner/manager to communicate with customers. They post on their social media page about text information to have seat reserved, but not a reservation. Not all people have social media account of any kind and never will. I own my own business (auto repair shop) and I make sure I communicate with my customers. NO COMMUNICATION NO CUSTOMERS. Owner should have a sign or two posted in restaurant with information about text ahead, not just on social media. Owner should teach employees how to talk too and handle customers that have question over not knowing about No Reservation/Reservation. After being talked to the way I was, I will not be back.Since this happened, I have talked with many friends about this and no reservation/reservation seems to be a growing problem, even though they say it s not.2nd - Has anyone else notice on their social media page all most all positive reviews. After doing some research and help from several friends that have left negative feedback, looks like they remove/block/delete any less than positive reviews. Owner is trying to hide the real truth from everyone, Wonder Why???Heads Up, If you want to leave feedback that all can see and has less to no chance of being removed, post it on Google. Read Google polices and rules so owner can t get it removed.

We had dinner there and it was awesome! My steak was the best I've had in a very long time! I asked for A1 but I didn't use it because it didn't need it! The catfish had the best taste (wish I had their secret meal recipe) of any I've tasted. The outside was so deliciously crunchy! The service and ambiance was perfect! Yes we will be going back!

I got the catfish plate with 2 pieces and I was surprised at the size of the fish. Two is all I could eat. The fish was excellent, the baked potato was enormous, it came with 2 onion rings and 2 hush puppies which were great, I also got mayo slaw-great, and okra about 20 pieces which were great. My friend got the green tomato relish which I did not care for it had a vinegar taste. The guy next to us had a sausage pizza that he said was really good. My overall impression of the place was magnificent . It is definately a place to visit at least once if you are in Dyer Co Tennessee, oh and the price is very good too.

We waited an hour to be seated, another 30 mins for our meal. It was very loud and has been ever since they decided to serve alcohol. Has grown to more of a Bar and grill and less a family diner. The food was ok but not a quiet atmosphere to enjoy it. We really miss Dalton and the crew.

Best prime rib I ever put in my mouth. Wow I loved it and the staff was out of this world. Was waited on hand and foot while there. I grew up in the area of this store and restaurant. I loved going in there as a child and still enjoy stopping in from time to time. Brinds back wonderful memories from my childhood.

Are here for the first time. Super friendly service met the owner!! This place is wonderful. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was also. Thank you Locks for our meal and we will DEFINITELY be back!!!!!!

The first time I went was good Friday and had the fish it was good but the service was wanting then went Saturday the 24th waited 1.5 hours the service was good but I couldn't eat 3 full pieces of fish for all the salt my wife had the pork steak and it was very good

Breakfast was pretty good people where nice had Santa Claus there my four year old lost her mind lol but the waitress dressed like an elf didn't do a very good job everytime we needed something we had to go get it or flag her down to get something we where her only table during this event.

Excellent food but be prepared for the wait is you get there after 5pm. I can't find anything on their menu that isn't really good.

My husband & I just left Lock s Store & could not have been more pleased! The meal was outstanding and the service, from the manager to the wait staff, could not have been better! We will definitely be returning!

Had the ribeye it was excellent hubby had fish it was great too.awsome service definitely going to go back
