I truly enjoyed having Doug Looper as my salesman. He wasn t pushy and was easy to talk to and answer questions. It was the best car buying experience I ve ever had and this was my 4th go around. I will definitely be sending people to Carlen but only to Doug. No knock to anyone else I just feel like Doug was exemplary. Thank you, thank you, thank you Doug for helping me. Missy was kind as well.

Horrible customer service from service dept. Had my Tahoe towed to them after a transmission rebuild to have the tcm flashed. After they flashed, they told us the Tahoe was running great and ready to pick up. When we got ready to pick it up they said it was a misunderstanding and the Tahoe never ran after they flashed it even though we asked for a thorough check and second test drive as we had growing concerns about the shop who had completed our rebuild. Instead of profusely apologizing for their mistake and offering to service our vehicle if we wanted to pay them to do so, they refused to provide any further service stating that we were too upset for them to work with and then threatened to place a mechanic s lean on our vehicle. They are incompetent and extremely rude. Would give -5 stars if I could.

Service department is terrible. They never listen to what the customer needs done and they constantly talk down to my wife any time she drops off her vehicle for a service. Bought vehicles from them for years but they have gone severely down hill.

2012 Silverado Chevrolet Truck was losing coolant from the engine cooling system. The Service Department advised bringing the truck in ASAP and they would try to isolate the problem that afternoon. They determined within 1.5 hours via a pressure test that the radiator was leaking and would have to be replaced. The Service Department stated that they could order a new radiator and have it installed by the next day.I authorized the work and they called me at 1:00 pm the next afternoon to advise that the mechanics had repaired the truck and it was ready to be picked up. The work on the vehicle was completed on time at the quoted price.You will be very pleased with the Carlen Chevrolet Customer Service staff. Brent Byers, Certified Service Advisor, kept me apprised of everything that was happening throughout the entire repair process and answered all of my questions. You are unlikely to be disappointed by mechanical work conducted on your Chevrolet vehicle by this dealership because their word Is their bond.

Just bought a new truck. My salesman Dusty Deaton worked hard to get me the deal i wanted. He was very patient with me and never once overbearing. Been in the service department a few times since buying my truck and I've had nothing but good experiences.

Service department is the most incompetent bunch of people I've ever seen in a dealership no help no service no anything definitely need to learn to respect and deal with people can't even get phone call returned from the owner or the manager just completely useless

We had the best car buying experience that I ve ever had! Everyone was wonderful! Magic Mike, Tara and the entire gang at Carlen were just simply awesome! If you want to be treated with respect and dignity this is the dealership to go to. You are not treated as a number here in anyway. They are completely transparent with everything and super professional will definitely be coming back when I decide to purchase a new truck for myself. This trip we purchased a 2022 Equinox Premier for my wife! Saved a lot of money also! Amazing deals! Amazing people!

We agreed on a deal over the phone as it was a two hour drive. Everything was exactly as they said on the truck we were interested in. Gave me 1000 more for my trade than other dealers.

Will not accept GM employee discount. Won t even allow you to order a vehicle to take advantage of discount. Bought from them for 19 years. Always used discount. Not anymore. Lost my business.

I bought a used Chevy Tahoe and shortly after I bought it I got this recall I went to Carlin and they got me in pretty quick very friendly people they didn't take long at all funny thing is I now get a card in the mail they're talking about they want to buy my truck put me in a newer new vehicle and they will give me payments cheaper than what I'm doing now.I think it was a little overzealous of them to make such an a statement I'm half tempted to go up there and call him out on it LOL I know that they're trying to make money but to make a statement that they did without getting into the numbers they wouldn't be able to pull it off but anyway I like the service I get from the garage at Carlin they've always done right by me.

I had a recall on my Cadillac so I called and gave them the information. They ordered the part and called me when they received it so I could an appointment. We set the date and a time of 9:00 am and they told me it would take a couple of hours. I showed up at 8:50 and the service writer told me that they would not get to it until sometime in the afternoon. I asked why as I had a 9am appointment? She responded that a lot of people who were going to off decided to wait. I asked how is that my problem? I drove for an hour to get here for my scheduled appointment and I have other commitments in the afternoon. I guess I will drive another hour back home and continue to waste my time and gas. . She asked if I wanted to reschedule, what good would that do since they don t honor there schedules time? I told her I was going to be honest with her I will reschedule but it was going to be with Dave Kirk Chevrolet in Crossville. So I called them and they had the recalled part and stock so I made the appointment with Dave Kirk.

I took my vehicle in for an oil change and asked them to check the AC, which was blowing alternating between blowing hot, cold and cool air. They worked on it (and I 100% understand I am responsible for the labor rate and any supplies or parts), and they added Freon and some dye so that if there was a leak, I could bring it back and they could locate the leak. My total bill was over $300 (around $75 of that was the oil change, so around $225 +/- for the AC.) Less than two weeks later, it was blowing hot air again, so I took it back once again. This time, I was told I needed a new compressor and condenser and the estimated charge was going to be $832. I told them I would just pick up my car. I found a local mechanic and took it that same afternoon. He told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with the condenser and compressor, that there was only a leak where the Freon goes. He repaired it for $175, labor, Freon and a new air filter included, and it has worked perfectly fine since. So one of two things happened, in my opinion. Either they were trying to overcharge me, thinking I wouldn't know the difference, or the mechanic (s) they have don't know what they're doing. Very unsatisfied and will not be returning as the loyal customer I have been for years for oil changes and minor repair work.Also, last year, I had taken the same car in for repair and was told I needed a new motor and was quoted over $8,000. I also found someone else to repair it at that time and it was fixed for $600.

Took our Tahoe there for repair.1. Communication was inadequate to say the least. They closed and left our vehicle locked in the shop-despite knowing we needed the vehicle back if they weren t able to complete the repairs that day.1a. Finally got a loaner vehicle and lots of attitude2. Repair cost at first estimated to be 4200 and worse case $7kTotal ended up being $83002a. Engine light came back on same day we picked it up.2b. Despite knowing that when one injector goes bad- the other s is usually follow- they didn t recommend all to be replaced at time of repairs.I would give negative stars if it were possible

I appreciate receiving free oil changes and such great service with it. They were quick and quite thorough. I asked the service department about some pricing on different items for the truck and they were quick to help and explain it. It's really nice to feel like they care!

Have used this Dealership for recall service for our SRX and they did a good job (done in 2022). Also, we have used Carlen Motors Body Shop for some work for our SRX car as well. They did a good job with this and the price was a little high, but the quality and professionalism through the process was well worth it. We have used other body shops for assorted work of vehicles over the years, but this place really impressed me with the quality and detail.

I just want to say the service department are an outstanding group of employees. When ever I deliver to the parts department the service department already say hi and give me a hand if I have anything heavy to carry in or out. They make my day.

I am not usually one to recommend unless someone asks me. Everyone at Carlen has always been nice to me and my family. We get great service and I appreciate them taking great care of my vehicles. I try to make sure that I use a GM certified dealer to do all of my service on my new vehicles. Thanks!!

Service was acceptable but I removed 3 stars because I booked my oil change online but when I arrived I was told "our online booking has been down for a while, we'll have to work you in". This review is being written in 2021, what business doesn't take their online booking service offline when they KNOW there is a problem?! I can't imagine the number of people who show up thinking they have an appt. I will update this review once the problem is fixed but for now, don't book your oil change online.

Beware of the service department. I took my vehicle in yesterday because I recently started having an issue with my 14 acadia denali hesitating on startup occasionally. The service department could not find the issue (which is most likely just a bad ignition or starter) but instead told me about somthing else wrong with my vehicle that has NO bearing on why I brought it in. Told me my fuse block is a little loose and they could fix it for about $800 but no guarantee that im not going to continue having start up issues. $200 yesterday when I picked it up. On top of their $159/hr diagnostic fee they charge everyone another $40 "shop materials" fee. All they did was plug it in to a diagnostic reader, shouldnt that be considered part of the $160 diagnostic? Most honorable shops don't charge the customer if they can't fix or atleast identify the customers problem. Carlen chevrolet has been on the down slope for years, I would say 10 years from now they won't exist.

Got my Fuel tank swapped out for cheaper than any other place would do it and they accidentally put the wrong type of fuel filter on my car so it would pop out while I was driving and I called them about it and they fixed it for completely free, very good and friendly place who will give all the details to what service they have just done

I'm 59 years old, have been to more than 1 dealership. Carlen is by far the best. They saved us money by selling us a new car that was cheaper than the used one we came for. We were VERY upside down on our trad in, and still, we came out on top! I'm a customer for life!!Mr. Carlen. Please make sure you keep the people who work for you. You have a great staff , don't let them work for someone else.

After agreeing on a price I placed a deposit on a 2022 Tahoe that was in transit. Vehicle showed up late on 3/2 and I made an appointment to pick the vehicle up on 3/4. I asked for a buyer s order because I was going to Everything was set. On 3/3 I get a call from the salesman saying the General Manager found out I was purchasing the vehicle at MSRP and I was not going to be financing through GM or any of their lenders and the GM was upset on the money they were missing out on by selling the car to me. So they refused to sell me the vehicle and refunded my deposit.Unbelievable business practice from this dealership. I ve heard of these types of things happening to other people but I assumed there was more to the story and the consumer leaving out key information. That s not the case here at all. I plan to file a complaint with the BBB as well the Tennessee Attorney General s office for violation the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act in addition to a few other actions I plan to take.

Someone else recommended this dealership to me, and I'm glad I took her advice. I had a great used vehicle buying experience at Carlen. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. They were very helpful with working with my work schedule. I definitely recommend this local dealership!
