I was been in the car business from 1994 to 2019. I worked my way up from a salesman to executive level for a large dealer group.The last year as a salesman I was averaging over 55 cars a month and always doing a selling activity in small town WV.I cut my teeth with Saturn and my last 9 years was running a large 13 rooftop dealer group in WV with multiple OEMs.I know the business and I m a graduate of the NADA Academy.I m in sales, I respect the sales process and NEVER waste folks time.I attempted to buy a GMC 2500 HD, and I was very forthcoming about my background upon arrival.As someone who plays the game well, the UC and SM tried to over price their vehicle (I get that a dealer can sell it for whatever they so desire) and lowball my trade.Do you not see what is happening? I been out of the business for around 5 years (retired) but I still have a pulse of the industry and the current challenges the industry is facing. Average days on lot are highest in the past 3 years and there is no more cheap money. It's a perfect storm, and a new set of numbers just came out and repo rates are highest they have ever been surpassing the recession of 2009 numbers.You got to do business with serious buyers. Apparently I was serious. I was ready to stoke a check.I live in Cleveland TN, right in their backyard, and I am very dealer loyal. I always try to buy local, but when you have folks running your sales department or dealer who didn t pick up on apparently anything I said, my buying signals, and insult you when they penciled the deal, you go elsewhere.Stealing trades? It happens, but not often, and not with a 25 year veteran.I was very clear about the buying, and didn't want to do the back and forth to the desk. I told the salesman, "Let's just get to the RIGHT pencil and not waste each other times. If you have any experience in car sales, then we don't need to practice. On my way out the door the salesman told me I wouldn t find a dealer to sell me a vehicle at invoice.Come on. We are not talking about a hand made car or a one off exotic. We are talking an assembly line mass production vehicle that comes off the line at 50+ an hour.He was right, I was sold a 2024 2500 HD Denali at invoice plus 1/2 the holdback and got 3K over clean MMR.How far did I have to travel? Just to Integrity GMC in Chattanooga TN. Right in their DMA.I plan on stopping over this week to show them the numbers and the truck because anything I say I can back up in writing.Thank you for not taking an invoice deal, and taking my trade in where you had a 10K leg to make money. Retail was $53,820 and all I wanted was 42K which was a very FAIR number.I have said for the past 30 years: I want to give my bosses reasons why I did business, not reasons why I didn t do business.The desk manager seemed not to want to do business unless he could high gross you while also giving you a poor attitude and vibe.He wouldn t work for me, I hold my people accountable when they didn't want to do business. Accountability is more than just a number.BTW - I tried to call the dealer multiple times on Saturday during their advertised business hours for sales, and no one answered the phone. All you got was a recording that said, "No one is available to take your call". In 2024 who the hell doesn't employ a receptionist to field calls? I can only imagine how much business they are losing by not picking up the phone.

We went and looked at a truck and liked it and the price. And Samuel . Brought us in a deal and we rejected it because there s only gonna give us $12,000 for a trade-in. And he brought the other paper that showed was getting $18,000 for a trade-in and had where they made the price higher the vehicle which meant we was only getting 13,000 for the trade-in. And we agreed to the price then when we got to financing because it was late and they was about to close . they brought us to the loan department where they brought us through there really quick had us to sign very quickly and very anxious, discouraging us from reading anything .we. didn t even give us a chance to read. And the salesman said he was going to send us some cookies which we never got so he lied about that too . very crooked dealership. You can see in the photos two different contracts. Which they tricked us. Now a update we got the cookies. They sent them after the review. But the cookies was the minor thing, the trade in value being cheated out of specially, since we was offered $16,000 from other dealerships. For our truck. Then making us think we re getting $18,000 for the trade-in when really we re just getting $13,000. That was the big blow.

I gave one star, simply because it will not let me leave 0 star's. I wouldn t trust this place to sell me a $4 hot wheels car , let alone the $47,000 I regretfully spent at this place I bought 2 used trucks here back to back and both were junk. After almost a year and a half of owning the 2020 Chevy 1500 with countless trips back to the dealership due to it being an absolute lemon . They would give me loaner vehicles, then call and ask for me to bring them back because another customer was interested in the vehicle .This dealership was nothing less of an headache the whole time i owned the truck. I finally got them to buy it back and let me walk away, but the worst part is not 4 days later the truck is sitting on their lot for another unlucky person like myself to buy this lemon. Good riddance don ledfords, I can gladly say I ll never step foot back in your dealership. Edit : you all are acting like it was one little issue , but that wasn t the case . I had to take the truck back to the shop atleast 10 times for various issues . Not to mention the transmission failing at only 46,000 miles, witch took over a month to replace.

My husband and I went to multiple car dealerships before visiting Don Ledford and we received the best service here. John was helpful and did not pressure us into buying. He was honest during the process and definitely got us the best deal. We felt confident that we made a good decision. Easy to make appointment online, received several reminders by text message. Greeted by friend competent service writers. Service to my truck was completed as I waited for it in a very comfortable waiting room.Thank you - will bring my truck back for regular service.

No follow up after initial contact telling costs. I called for an update and after being on hold left message. Three hours later I called again for status update on hold but finally talked with someone. Two hours later I talked with a different person giving me a price. I was a little frustrated by this time and told them I would pay and get it done ( 2 thermostats). The next afternoon I called for status report and was told they were finishing up the regen and it would be ready in a little while. Couple hours later and told they could not reset computer and cost was going to be $5,200 instead of $1,200 to do more repairs. I brought home my expensive truck and it is setting in the driveway instead of being in Florida as was the plan. Disgusted.

I came in wanting a regular maintenance service- oil change, tire rotation and I also had a strange noise it was making and I wanted that checked out. They did find the sound was just something I had within my truck and not the truck itself. Also they found a screw in one of my tires. My complaint lies in the fact that I was there for 5 1/2 hours for this service which was entirely too long. I had called later to speak with the service manager and he was on the other line but was supposed to call me back. I am still waiting on that call.

My family purchased 3 vehicles within a month from Don Ledford Chevrolet. That should speak volumes! Two were new 2024 and mine was a used 2018. It didn t matter if we were buying new or used, or if the men in the family were purchasing or the female. Common courtesy and respect was shown. Samuel and Matt were fantastic in sales, as they each cared that the transaction was good for each of us. I highly recommend Don Ledford Chevrolet!!

Our vehicle had been to another dealership not once but twice. They said, that they couldn't find anything wrong with it other than the battery was bad. Not true. Don Ledford's service diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and no issues since. Thank you so much.

The parts assistant manager Brendan(I hope that's the right spelling) helped me today and was so kind. He had outstanding customer service and helped me get my car running and fix a very frustrating mechanical problem. He volunteered his time to help me understand my situation and told me how to fix my car. I can't thank him enough. This guy is the truth

2 stars for the kind sales guy whos name I cant remember.We purchased our vehicle 5 years ago and within a year had a $2000 issue that still wasn't resolved after two trips to the service department. I couldn't be without my car for another few days so I just dealt with the issue (and still am!) Went in for a tail light and they quoted me $800+. I said I would look elsewhere and magically she found a part and could now do it for just under $300 Just recently I had my car towed to them for a starter issue. Tod told me he would take a look even after I said I needed my car back asap. After a few hours I asked when he could look at it and he said probably tomorrow with all of the appointments they already had scheduled. They also quoted me $750-$850 to replace the starter. I had it towed to Freemans automotive at 11:30am and they fixed it by 230pm! $419 and it was a Mitsubishi part just like what was in my GMC.Moral of the story, buy your cars in Atlanta and have them serviced by Curtis at Freemans automotive!

Called about a work truck listed for sale on autotrader. Customer service was quick to relay the message. John Yow called me back quickly. He answered all my questions, got my out the door pricing, and even stayed late for us to come pick up the truck. We had to have one for our company Monday morning. These people made it happen at a fair price! Will be doing business with them in the future. Highly appreciate John Yow and the entire team at Don Ledford that made this happen!

I brought my truck in for a scheduled appointment 7:45 am. I text service at 1:00pm about status. I was told it s next in line. So over 5 hours later my truck hasn t been looked at. I get dropped off at the dealership at 3:30pm. A man went to check on my vehicle. I was told they re looking at it now. 30 min later, I m told my issue wasn t there (check engine and fuel gauge not working) when I dropped off and it s still not there. So you all had my truck all day and didn t do anything, because the check engine light cleared itself up on my arrival. I feel you could have looked at the history of fault codes, but no! At the minimum, when you cranked the truck and saw no check engine, I should have immediately been called back. So 745 appointment = re-cranking truck at 330 and all is well?

Drove 50 miles hoping for a better experience than my last two at mountain view Chevy in Chattanooga. I arrived early and my truck was immediately taken back. Service took about two hours. Waiting room was clean and had coffee and magazines. Staff was friendly, particularly Jon (I think that's the right guy). Price was higher than quoted online, but otherwise I'm happy

My husband and I were on our way to Gatlinburg with our grandchildren when our tire started to lose air. We pulled into the dealership and spoke with Amy Deaver who was awesome and very pleasant. Tristan in service got the piece of metal out and came out to show us what was in the tire. The service manager was top notch! If I lived in Cleveland Tennessee this is where I would be purchasing my vehicles.

Went to the service department yesterday to try to get the pin for the gas cap lock to be looked at. Was told that I would have to schedule service they were too busy to even have a look at something that seemed very simple. I could ve dropped it off on Wednesday. I didn t have time to do it, but I didn t want to drive around with the gas cap flapping in the wind so went to Knoxville Cadillac and not only did they fix it in three minutes. They didn t charge me anything for it and this is on a Cadillac CT6.I am a die hard GM fan, Now I would rather drive to Knoxville or Huntsville, than to give Don Ledford any business.Note: have your service advisors step from behind the desk when asked to look at an issue.Another note: Don t call me after a bad review to try to explain away your ineptness. Do the it the right way from jump. Now it s one star.

Your dealership diagnosed and replaced a warranty GM reman transmission on my daughter's Equinox that another Chevy dealership installed only six weeks prior and less than 600 miles before it catastrophically failed. Ledford was much more responsive, timely and communicated much more effectively than Champion Chevrolet of Johnson City TN, the original repair shop. In and out in less than three weeks, Ledford also engendered a high degree of confidence the repairs were done correctly, unlike the previous dealership which took a month to affect the repairs and then it failed. Ledford's service advisor, Amy Devers, and the transmission tech were dogged in working the issue and were diligent in the overall repair. I'm confident my daughter will actually drive to Ledford for service as opposed to her local dealer Champion. Shame on Champion.

Great place to deal with! Mason is awesome. If it can be done he will make it happen. We just purchased 5 cars from him in the past 2 months and working on another. Don't go anywhere else and waste your time. Go to Don Ledford and ask for Mason tell him Brad and Lindsey sent you and he will treat you like family and make magic happen. You will be a life long customer.
