Outstanding shop, had my 4L60 burn out 3rd and 4th gear. Called around to a few different shops asking for a rebuilt and beef up and Stewart s was the first to accept the task. About a week before it was ready I went on a business trip and was gone for two months, they held the transmission at no extra cost. I returned home, collected the transmission, threw it in, and she s been going strong for 45k miles of constant beating.

Had our transmission rebuilt about a year ago. They didn't fix it in house it was sent off and when we got it back we were missing parts. They did replace the missing pieces however the transmission never ran correctly. The cheaper guy is not always the best option and now here we are a year later having to pay twice what we paid him to have our transmission rebuilt again.Service: Transmission

What an amazing service center! I had the transmission serviced on my 1999 Ford Ranger. They are kind, curtious, very professional, and excleent techs. I highly recommend them for all your automotive needs.

I bought a transmission from an 08 trailblazer from Mr. Steward, who told me it was a good transmission. It was junk. After pulling the transmission apart everything was worn. The stator shaft had teeth worn completely down. The shaft had so much play in it. The bushings for the shaft were worn so bad. I will never do any kind of business with Steward's Transmission ever again. My advice to everyone is to stay away from this place.

My transmission failed on me coming to Tennessee for Christmas. After a lot of calls and research, I found out my transmission warranty was extended by Chevrolet due to faulty parts used on Malibu's in 2009.Needless to say, I was never notified of the extension and wasn't afforded the opportunity to have my car looked at for faulty 35R wave plates.Being 5K over the extended warranty, Chevy wouldn't help me so I started calling around town.This place was the ONLY repair shop that gave me alternatives to a new transmission. They were the ONLY ones to say something other than a new transmission was my only option.I had my car towed from Chevy to them and they kept me informed during the repair process and I am more than satisfied with the work they did.I would highly recommend using them over competitors who don't work for the customer.Thank you guys! You are amazing.

Best experience I have ever had with a shop! They took great care of our truck and kept me updated every step of the way. Very friendly and professional gentleman and great pricing. I live in Hopkinsville but will be making the drive to bring all my vehicles here for future needs!

I am visiting from out of state. While here my transmission decided it needed a "facelift". I was referred to Stewards. They did a full rebuild of my transmission, including all upgrades to meet factory specs. They SIGNIFICANTLY beat 3 other quotes. Gave equal if not better warranty. And because I had no means to pick up the van, the delivered it to me!!! Best experience. Thanks to Billy & Rick. Truly professional, exceptional quality service.

Let s face it, there are a LOT of charlatans in this industry, and it is REALLY tough to trust anybody. I had looked up transmission repair Clarksville online, and unfortunately only found limited reviews. So I did what anybody would do, threw it over to my Facebook ecosystem and posed the question. In short time, I had at least a half a dozen people say Steward s . One of them was a friend, and we traded DM s about her experience. She told me her dad, who owned a dealership, took all his vehicles there. So I took a leap of faith, off a personal endorsement, and drove my 05 Chevy Silverado out to Stewards.Driving down the driveway, there were vehicles EVERYWHERE! I could tell at first glance I was dealing with one of two companies: One a company who was understaffed and over worked, or Two a highly popular and reputable company who has earned the trust of the community. It didn t take long to realize I was dealing with Company #2.I described my situation, and we took a quick drive. The technician took about 100 yards to confirm what I knew but didn t want to hear needs a rebuild. We headed back, and began the process of getting in line to be fixed.Rick, whom I guess is the head mechanic, was very thorough of all the things that could be wrong, but based off symptoms, it was going to be a rebuild. Even showing me with several of the disassembled transmissions in the shop. He stated up front what to expect of the bill, and would give me an update should there be more problems.I ran out after the 3rd week, and had my truck up on the rack. I gave them a deposit (silly requirement, but I get that they need to cover their bases in case somebody doesn t pay or pick up their vehicle), and Rick took me into the shop so I could SEE what was being done. He mentioned that my O2 sensors were throwing codes (I already knew this) and that why he had it apart, it would be the best time to replace them. No brainer, add it to the bill!Just got my vehicle back, and waiting for everything to seat, but overall very pleased with the overall experience, and I don t expect to have any problems.The ONLY ding I would give them, which I discussed at length with the new owner, is their digital footprint. He recognized that more effort needs to be put into his digital presence, and has some things in motion to improve his website, enhance technology (email/VoIP/customer portal), and to find more ways to boost his logo across multiple platforms.Okay, maybe one more ding, the driveway in and out takes a beating from traffic and rain, so any lowriders, drive slow and straddle the wash out!All in all, I would not hesitate ONE second to refer somebody here. Trustworthy, honest, reliable, and take pride in the quality of their work. A refreshing star in an industry of snakes.

These guys are incompetent. I had to bring my truck back 3 times and they still couldn t get it right. I ended up getting a remanufactured transmission. Losers.

They are liars and cheats. Mr. Steward has a sever medical problem and is unable to be there much. He has turned the business pretty much over to his nephew who shouldn't work on my grandson's hot wheels. I have filed complaint with BBB and the state for unethical practices.

The most dependable shop I have found...not only so they work on transmissions, they have a full time tech that repairs everything from a/c ,brakes to complete engine swaps..
