It's a long overdue but I'll be forever grateful for this family owned garage. I'm a travel nurse and I got a car issue half way through my very long drive to the Northern states. I was very distressed and when I called them on a Friday morning, they kindly offered to look at my vehicule the same morning despite having a full agenda.I usually avoid any kind of chain businesses and that's another reason to support local ones. They're great people.Thank you again guys for making sure I was safe

At Friar you don t have to worry about if he knows how to do it he knows he s been in the business for years. Best mechanic shop in Chattanooga and family own.

I ve been taking my car here for over years. I always recommend this auto service to friends and neighbors. Jimmy is professional, courteous, upfront. Always does a great job and always a reasonable cost. Today I had a splash guard hanging down had come detached and Jimmy spent 45 minutes fixing it and didn t charge anything. Cannot recommend this place enough!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Fryar's was recommended to me by a friend - they've been taking their cars there for years. I had purchased a vehicle some months back with high mileage that was having transmission issues. I wanted to drive down to Florida but was afraid I'd get stuck on the side of the road. Took it to Jim and he immediately set my mind at ease. He had my car for two days, test-driving it multiple times. I got the car back and drove to and back from Florida with no issues. He was able to fix the transmission issue at a very reasonable price. The biggest thing however was that he restored my confidence in the car. Thank you!

Took my car here for couple problems and they did not stop until problem was fixed!! This business has been here for years and speaks for itself only thing I didn't like was being double charged for parts for instance $16 for a quart of oil...Also the lack of communication is a problem at least let people know what's going on first before you start working on the car...Next time I will be more specific.. Other than that I'm happy my car runs wayyy better.. Money well spent

Jim is the best! He's been taking great care of my car for the past 5 years. He is usually able to get the repairs done the same day and always for a fair price. Sometimes I've had to leave it overnight, but that's to be expected occasionally.

Jim is a great mechanic! He has taken care of my car for several years. I get regular maintenance checks on it and it runs great. On occasion I've needed more work done and he's gotten it done quickly and for a fair price. I highly recommend Fryars.

Went to this shop based on positive reviews. That was a mistake. I'd leave negative stars if I could. My daughter was in town on a job assignment and needed a new radiator installed in her car. She purchased a new radiator at a local parts store thinking one of her co workers would be able to help her install the unit. Unfortunately she couldn't get any help and had to resort to using a shop. I called the shop and they said for her to bring the car and they would install the radiator. Car is running fine aside from the bad radiator prior to these guys getting their hands on the car. So they install the radiator and charge my daughter $180.00 for a job that only takes about 30 min. I don't know what the hourly shop rate is at this place but that price is way out of line for such a simple job. She leaves the shop and less than 10 min out of the shop the check engine light is on and the car is running like crap. The shop is now closed for the weekend and she is stuck with a broke down car. She takes the car to another shop based on their shining reviews the next day and ends up spending another $480.00 to get the car running right again. (Will be leaving a negative review for that shop as well based on how much they jack up the cost of the parts and inflated labor rates) Be advised to get an up front estimate from this place if you choose to bring your vehicle here.

Honesty. Thats what this business prioritizes over making money. I took my SUV in for a gas leak and instead of doing the work and charging me for it, he was able to research and find out it was a recall from Ford and recommended I take it there to have it changed for free. They also really know their stuff and have done a great job in multiple occasions!

I go here to pick up our work vehicles the staff are very nice is the staff are very nice and are honest my only S my only complaint lol is the picture that comes up it's the picture that comes up with this is some type of window shop shop. And it looks like someone might have threw it together one might have threw it together not with photoshop but maybe some photoshop but maybe something like Microsoft paint from back in the day or soft paint from back in the day I will continue to go to the uh to go to this place and and will possibly bring my own if I can't fix it

Incredibly experienced and friendly staff that will always treat you right and be honest with you. You will never feel pressured into spending more than you need to. 10/10 will always bring my vehicles here for service.

I was referred to them threw a client of mines due to my heat not working,also needed a new battery.He told me he had the cheapest batteries in town..I ended up paying 170 just for a battery and no heat..he also kept my car 3 days and missed work for just a battery.I took my car back to him for the heat for him to keep it a week and not update me on anything that was going on..I rode by every day for me to see it sitting in the same spot.I had to threaten to just pick up the car,for him to say it would be ready by the end of the day..My heat worked only in the front for about a month 1/2 then it completely stopped..I paid 200 for nothing.I was going to take it back,but im just totally frustrated and cant afford anymore half done work..
