My wife and I were looking forward to trying them out. Unfortunately, it was not a good night for the kitchen staff. Catfish was undercooked and not crispy. The fried oysters were the kind that come out of a frozen pack and dropped in grease. Hand breading would work much better for the oysters.Tea was good. The view was beautiful though. Wish the food matched. This place could be great, with a new attitude about food quality.

Our Harley group riding on a fund raising event 65 Rose's stopped by for lunch and had a great experience. Food and service was great along with a beautiful lake setting on the outside deck.

This is a great place to fish and view the birds and scenery. The restaurants there it's quite good mostly home-cooked dishes and Ruby runs the place and she's the nicest Southern woman you could ever meet. There are many campers and boat slips available that's really reasonable rates and also rent thier small cabin. On Friday and Saturdays they have live music and outside Cantina which is a great time if you're not going out from your water adventures

Looked forward to the restaurant reopening. My wife and I had the breakfast bar and coffee. The food was decent and the service was ok. When finished she asked for a small box to take a hand full of food she couldn't eat. It was for our dogs. We asked if they throw it out and she said no, they give it to their dogs. It cost $39.50 for 2 and you can't keep the leftovers. I've been coming here for over 25 years. I Will Never Be Back, Ever.

I love the bar here because it's the only one around that serves my Cayman Jack margaritas. I would give 5 stars but they weren't serving food when we were there and I was hungry. Lol we'll still go back when we're in the area.

Don t bring the family to Shady Cove, $11 for a 2 piece chicken tender (made from frozen) kids plate with a little handful of fries. 45 min wait for food with only 3 other tables here..food wasn t fresh and looked and tasted like it sat under a warmer for hours. We won t be back. Was looking forward to finding another local restaurant to support.

Clean and friendly, decent menu not overly expensive. Had the Texas smoked prime rib, decent portion wasn't bad. I never had smoked prime, I'll stick with roasted. We'll go back, location is beautiful.

We got there by jet ski. Have eaten here twice. The breakfast is great. Our 2nd visit, we both ordered the catfish dinner. Plenty of food and drink refill was great. Friendly service.

Overpriced. 850 a month plus electric and most spots are no sewer hookup, no refunds, 150 deposit. 45 in electric the first month than 105 the next two. No laundry! Beautiful views but nothing that makes the price worth it.

Nice, clean. The restaurant had good food and they had showers in the bathroom. Staff was very very nice. I ordered a pizza and it was delicious. They dont serve full menu everyday. The pizza was so yummy and not expensive. Drinks are reasonably priced. They only were serving beer and wine coolers however. Kayaking on the river and cove is fun. Lots of pull off spots and swim spots. Water isn't clean but welcome to Tennessee rivers.

We have been coming here for years, the staff is genuine and friendly. The food is some of the best. If you like a fried bologna sandwich this is the place, have an egg added to it, you will not regret your decision.

It was a nice little hole in the wall place. Prices are high for the food but did not really taste anything. So will update in future.

First time there , though I was in Heaven. The people, and the employee's were extremely polite and helpful. The steaks are absolutely delicious along with the big baked potato , which was by far the best steak that I have eaten in a long time. Along with the great scenery, people who work there and the awesome food , I give them a 5 Star !!!!

Food always good and has a great salad bar with soups also. Tonight they had brisket soup, white bean soup and vegetable soup. The Steak was cooked perfectly. We go on a regular basis because of the food and comardary.

Shady Cove used to be much better. Before this whole Covid ordeal this was an amazing restaurant. My family and I went last night and had dinner. Not sure if it's under new management but the food was subpar. I would always get their gator bites and this time the gator was extremely rubbery and chewy. My daughters grilled cheese looked really old. My sons chicken tenders were ok but as we were leaving he ended up throwing up. My wife's shrimp was overcooked. The other big thing that seems to have changed is the fact that we used to eat here all the time because I'm a veteran and they used to take care of the veterans but when asked the waitress, without hesitation, said kind of firmly no. Then when paying the bill tried to overcharge us. When corrected she got extremely rude. She never even told us her name. She was a shorter older woman with short Grey hair.

I've had my boat here for 3 years. It's a laid back atmosphere full of good folks, including the staff, campers, and slip renters. I'll change it to 5 stars if the pumps work all summer.

We happened upon Shady Cove Marina when we were boating on Old Hickory Lake. The Tiki Bar was a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere was so neat, the staff was super friendly, the catfish sandwich was excellent, and the beer was ice cold!!!!

I'm from Ky. and know exactly what catfish is and can tell you that this is not catfish strips or fillets at this restaurant. They were like limp shoe lace french fries. The actual fries were soggie and limp, and cold, not to mention the salad was quite old and rotten and nothing labeled saying what it was not even the dressings which is great in the event of allergies. Waitress had no knowledge of the food she was serving. I didn't even get one of my sides. When asked how things were, I had already pushed my plate aside and just said no comment. Understandable why they have all you can eat catfish when 1 bite is all you need. I had to actually ask where the fish was when i got my order. I thought i was getting curly fries from Hardees. Also way over priced. Wont go back and wont recommend.

I have my houseboat docked at this Marina and it is a great Marina, with the one exception that is a very long drive to get to downtown Nashville. Close to 45 minutes if there's no traffic. Other than that, it is wonderful. It's very quiet and mellow, safe, beautiful. There is a restaurant which is open during the Spring and Summer, a tikki bar, a small store, a small laundry, and a bath house with showers and toilets. there's also at least one little rental cabin if you have guests that your own spot won't accommodate. I love it.
