I'm new to the area, and I heard of downtown diesel through a friend. I have two trucks and they've done a little work on both at this point. They are good at communicating and timelines, they let me know that they were a week out on diagnosing and another on fixing the problems. I would much rather hear that up front than wonder why the trucks not done. The prices were reasonable for the work done. I had also flipped a piece of equipment and was struggling to get it back upright, the owner I believe, instead of passing by stopped and helped me lift it back in place, not easy because it's heavy and awkward. They truly want to help people stay on the road!

Awesome job with our two Ram trucks. Ross, Sarah and Makenzie and guys in the service were great also they all have great customer service and take great care of you. They treat your trucks like they are their personal vehicles. We can't thank you all enough for such a quick turn around and Awesome work.

Great big shout out to Down Town Diesel in Athens, Tn. Our Chevrolet 2500HD 8.1 liter 496 cubic inch engine got sick. We took our GAS BURNER to Down Town Diesel and they fixed him and now he s ripping pavement again . They fixed our truck, ordered new tires, had them put on and when we picked it up, it was 100% ready to go. So they don t just work on diesels THEY DO IT ALL, big jobs, little jobs, gas and diesel . These guys are the best around Their reviews on Google speaks volumes. Thanks Guys for a great job !!

We were stranded out of state with a fuel filter issue. Downtown Diesel immediately ordered the part and got it fixed so quickly! They were the nicest people!! We highly recommend!!!

This establishment is the real deal!Gifted, reliable, honest, efficient, thorough, friendly diesel mechanics, Owner and Mackenzie and the most awesome Smokey pup ever. Best diesel shop around, the guys were very helpful and diligent in figuring out my issues as quick as they could. Worked with me on pricing, I couldn t have asked for a better experience. Ross was super helpful and insightful, great guy. 10/10 would recommend this shop to anyone for anything from a simple fix to custom work and performance mods.

Downtown Diesel was recommended to me by a good friend and I was not let down. Everyone was very friendly. I dealt with Lacy on the phone for most conversations and she was very nice and professional. I sent my truck in and just asked them to go through it. They found quite a bit wrong with my truck and confirmed with me before any repairs were made. The price was very reasonable for all that they did. I will definitely be using them for any future diesel repair needs.

I will not go back to them. They had my truck for five months and still did not figure out what exactly was wrong with it because all they wanna do is put it on a computer and have the computer. Tell them what everything was.

My truck had a tough oil leak that many shops wouldn't even attempt to fix. Downtown Diesel went above and beyond with my repair. It was quick and efficient and inexpensive. They even worked with my cars warranty company for the repairs. The people are very friendly, knowledgeable and they have a shop dog too! I would highly suggest anyone in need of diesel work to come to this shop. Any repairs I need in the future will be done here!

Great friendly service. Brakes, steering box and pump, air conditioning were worked on. Truck drives better than it ever has. Recommending them to everyone. Thanks for everything.

I have took my 2007 Dodge 6.7 here multiple times. The whole staff has treated me more than great, and has always beat everyone else's prices. I strongly suggest these guys to anyone, they can do it all.

Had a great experience and well worth the 45 min drive for me. Everyone one was extremely helpful and nice and willing to work with me with my schedule for drop off and pick up. They did good work with a fast turnaround time and beat everyone else price. They also stuck to their price at pick up and wasn t a lot higher like some shops do. Highly recommend.

These mechanics do very good and very honest work. I was traveling from Florida to Michigan in a newly purchased bus, and was only able to drive about 50 miles at a time before needing to stop due to overheating. After only getting halfway home over the course of 3 days, I called it quits and decided to drop it off at this mechanic. Two months later (which I think is quick, we re talking about a 40ft school bus that needed parts) I made the drive down to pick it up and was on the road for nearly 10hrs straight without a single issue, making it home.

Downtown Diesel great place I had a issue with truck they got it done quick and reasonable price. My truck is in shop today for another issue they got me in quick has then could reasonable priced. Let's not forget the office staff very friendly and listened to my needs and got it done. I recommend them .

First and foremost this is the place to take your Diesel. They take care of your Rig like its theirs. Great customer service from everyone all around. Fast service with a great price. Definitely a pocket friendly diesel service shop with pride in the work they all do. I'll take my truck here and here alone. Hell I'll even wait in line to have work done then go anywhere else.

First time at Downtown Diesel and what a great experience. I had scheduled service for my F250 and the Staff was very helpful in every way. From knowledge about my truck to answering any questions I had about my vehicle to quality parts and quality service. Downtown Diesel is the real deal. That's what most of us want is honest work at a honest price. I will be going back again for add ons to my truck. Thank You to Ross, Sarah and everyone involved with the service to my F250.

I've lived all over this country from Ohio to Georgia to Texas and Washington and more in between. Downtown diesel is by far the best shop I've been to. My problem was resolved with in a few days and the truck is running better than it did in years.

My Son paid Downtown Diesel 15,000For a New Diesel Motor. 5,000 miles later ,blowing oil....knocking engine.Well, they said we aren't giving you your money back and we don't have a warranty here, it may or may not be a 3rd party warranty? Plus, I can't work on it right now, maybe a month or two?If I could give them Zero stars, I would.ALL TRUE

I have tried several diesel mechanic shops all over while traveling for work. Downtown Diesel was by far the easiest and best experience I have had! I had my truck towed in and they got right to it.. no excuses about oh we are to busy or yeah i think we may can look at it in a couple days... none of that. They were honest, up front, and professional which is seeming to be hard to find these days. If you want great professional work done by some guys that will stand by their work? This is the place! Thanks guys for doing a great job! I wont be taking my vehicles any where else!

I went to a few shops in local area. This shop was by far my best experience. They were very communitive to me about my truck repair. They are true experts and when I was expecting to pay for the excellent service they beat the competition by half the estimated cost. I highly, highly, recommend any diesel service at this shop. 2008 F-250 6.4

My husband Joe and I have been going to Ross since he first opened. He has been able to diagnose problems with our Chevy 2500 that many other shops could not do. He is very honest and fair. We have and will highly recommend him to anyone with a diesel or gas vehicle. Super nice dude

We were traveling thru Atens Tn. and our engine lite came on. They whet above and beyond to get us back on the road. The price very reasonable with excellent work and minimum down time. I did not get the mechanics name, but Mackenzie? was super helpful.

Ross is awesome. He really takes care of the customer. I had a lot of things going on with my 6.0, he took his time to make sure I was happy. I highly recommend this shop for any diesel needs. Everything is running good and I can't say enough.

I had downtown diesel upgrade my tired old stock turbo to a kc whistler turbo.i am very pleased with the job they done. They are one of the most professional group of people i have delt with in quit some time. From the ladies in the office keeping it all together to the guys turning wrenches in the shop pumping out the work, these guys are top notch .i give this business a 10 out of 10 . Will use them for all my diesel repairs. Great job to all of you at DTD.

I have nothing but great things to say about these folks. There customer service is fantastic from the girls in the office to the mechanics in the shop. They understand how important your vehicle is to you and work hard to get you back on the road. We are customers for life now and have peace of mind that when we need them, Downtown Desiel is there.

We were on a 1500 mile work trip from Texas to North Carolina and sprung diesel and transmission line leaks while in route. We called Downtown Diesel, explained our dilemma, they said come by and we will get you back on the road. They were true to their word and squeezed us in and had us back on the in 20min! I cannot say enough in regards to their professionalism and understanding! I m glad there are still shops that care!
