Stay away! Be warned! I would give zero stars if possible. Before posting this review I attempted repeatedly to resolve the problems with the shop owner directly only to be led along for months that repairs would be made and that parts were being purchased. They never were. Meanwhile, we were left to (re)diagnose and (re)repair mechanical issues at our own expense.The shop quoted us on a major collision and mechanical repair. We paid half of the repair costs up front and would receive calls that the repairs were completed only to show up and find what looked like half of the job done (if only we had know it wasn't even half-way done). This went on several times until we wore thin on patience. In the end, we failed to thoroughly investigate all the repairs and were hoodwinked out of est. $1,000 worth of body and mechanical repair. The paint work has fairly obvious flaws and imperfections. To be fair, their prices are much lower than the dealership. We tried to stretch our budget and paid a high price in the endOur repair quote included the replacement of the engine fuse compartment and wiring. A new fuse box cover (only the cover!) was put on the car and we assumed the wiring and fuse box had also been replaced. Imagine our surprise when the car failed to start and we discovered upon further inspection that the fuse box was still damaged and had never been replaced.I wish that was all. The hood does not unlatch---apart from sustained and determined effort and skill. It was not properly installed. The front fender was not properly installed. It sticks out on the seams on either side. On top of that, we just discovered today that the windshield washer reservoir is missing the pump and the hoses that attach to the outlets. Who knows what else we will find out with the botched repair job? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. Never again, Martinez Auto Repair!I am not posting this review to be spiteful. In fact, by God's grace, I have forgiven the owner and the employees for their failure to deliver the repair work for which we were quoted and fully paid $4,000+ for. However, I owe it to other potential customers to warn of the inherent risks of doing business at Martinez Auto Repair: "Do business here at your own risk!

If I could I would leave 0 stars. The owner is a liar. I asked him about a price gave me one then changed it at the last minute and held my car for no reason. Just because he said he wrote down the Information on this composition notebook he has. He is NOT legit.

DO NOT GO TO HIM . I trusted him at first . Gave me a reasonable price . Told me it ll be done in about a week and a half. I went after a week of waiting to see his progress. And my car was just sitting there collecting dust and dirt . I almost forced them to work on my car . Week and half turned into 3 WEEKS . And i had to give him a advance because he said he had to buy medicine???After receiving my car, I instantly regretted ever going to him. Over spray was all over my car , probably didn't cover my car when spraying another car . Gave it back to me without freon. New paint was darker than the original paint . After a month , paint started chipping. 3300$ job turned into 5000$ job but i prefer to pay more than to ever go back to him . My hood still pops out a little. Finger prints on the new paint like they didn t even bother waiting for it to dry . Highly unprofessional. Definitely going to pursue lawyer advice.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I was told that this was a good body shop where I can get my car fixed. The owner gave me a great price to fix my car but he doesn't speak any English. Reportedly most of his staff don't speak good English and so it was very hard for me to communicate with them so since I don't speak Spanish I never did come back.

He is awesome, he speaks spanish he doesn t know english,You have to trust him ,he is the best.Coming to price ,tried ouside to fix the scratches on my doors and front bumper he quoted 3 times less than the others , and delivered my vehicle exactly in day

You get what you pay for here. They cut corners and just do enough to give you your car back but look a little closer at their work

Called several times until a guy answered me. Asked for a quote, he asked me see him pics since the damage was so little. Sent them the pics. Never said a word to me again!

Everyone was charging 650.00 to fix my wife's hood this place sliced the price to 320.00 and did it in 3hrs, same quality! I recommend this place!
