Not sure if they work on transmissions. I called 3 times to schedule and never got a call back or a time to bring in. And wouldn't give a ballpark estimate on work they specialize in. Odd. I did find a shop by Wakonda, Frog Creek Repair. Jerry Leon. Very pleasant to deal with, calls you back and actually wants to do work for you. No run around.

I dropped my vehicle off here quite a while ago, and it took time to save up and pay off the bill for the work. The folks here understood my needs, were extremely patient, and they allowed split payments. I feel like the other reviews were done hastily after realizing that this type of work doesn't happen overnight and takes time to complete it properly. Each interaction I had with their staff was positive, my vehicle runs great now, and I am thankful that these folks are in business!

Terrible customer service. I saw my fianc�s car driving down the road a few days after It was dropped off at Yankton transmissions. My fianc� called Yankton transmissions to ask if the car was fixed and the owner raised his voice at him and told him no it s not done and that my fianc� should have never called. When we went to pay for the car the owner told us he would only accept cash payments. He said he would not accept card or check. The owner once again raised his voice at us. He held our car hostage overnight because we didn t have cash. We came back the next day and he cooled off a bit but wouldn t say a word to us when he took the card payment. Would not recommend, terrible mechanic experience.Service: Transmission

Had another shop drop my truck off here since they specialize in transmission work. After two weeks of my vehicle not being worked on the owner decided he didn t want to deal with my extended warranty company. Customer service is terrible. They smoke cigarettes when working underneath your car so when you find out your car smells like an ash tray for no reason... that s why. Been trying to get the smell out for three weeks now.
