This is a top notch RV resort with full hookup pull throughs big enough for the larges A classes pulling garages. There are lovely cabins, tennis courts, pool, horse shoes, and event center (a wedding took place in the meadow while we were there) and a nice gift shop. The location right off the highway was very convenient. Our dog loved the dog park, he s a little guy and there are two parks, one for big dogs and one for little ones. The sunsets were glorious.

My husband and I just got married here this past summer and it was amazing and so beautiful! We had an outdoor ceremony indoor reception. They helped set up and tear down, which took so much stress off of us. This was one of the few places that allowed us the whole weekend for us for a good price! Constance the venue coordinator was wonderful throughout the whole process. She was always available for questions, or running ideas by her! We had to do a few tours because of other weddings which I actually appreciated because that means she won t interrupt other events goin on but makes sure you get the whole experience. My in laws had medical concerns that they accommodated no questions ask which was also amazing. I could not recommend this place to get married enough!!

Very nice RV park with picnic tables at each spot. There are areas for dogs to play, a store with basic necessities as well as gifts and limited postal services. The event hall is large enough to accommodate several hundred. The swimming pool looks great and clean, but we didn't have a chance to utilize it as they closed it for the season the day after our arrival. This was an excellent RV Resort for the Renegade Rally due to its easy to access location and close to many BH attractions.Nearby activities: Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon, Belle Fourche Reservoir, Spearfish Fish Hatchery, hiking, 4 wheeling, biking, and shopping.Safety: Its South Dakota and we have very little crime.Walkability: Many trails close by including USFS, State lands and Spearfish Canyon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elkhorn. Upon arrival, you are greeted by their friendly front desk staff. They helped us with any last minute questions we had regarding our stay and got us set up with a map. When initially inquiring about booking, I had called in to share this was one of the first places we were staying, on our 15 stop journey over the span of 6 weeks, and this was one of the first times we'd be backing our rig into a spot. They were quick to help us get into a spot that would be easy to navigate - and it was just that. The spot was perfect. All sites have a concrete pad to park your rig, they also have a picnic table. The campsite was very comfortable and accommodating. Our site was near the playground - which given we had littles - this was perfect. Playground was sturdy, and had plenty to do for kids. It was near the restrooms (personal showers in each 'bathroom'). The restrooms/showers were clean and well kept.Laundry was reasonable, and a clean laundry room. I can't say that I felt our clothes were really clean upon completion; however, they were available nonetheless.

This RV resort is very nice. The views are beautiful. Site was concrete and level. We had a very nice area to set up our stuff with the picnic table and my grill .It is centrally located for many thing to do . Devil s tower, Spearfish scenic drive , Deadwood downtown (so much fun), spearfish downtown and sturgis .The reason I gave a 4 star is the people in the office are not very friendly, I had to ask for a map of the resort , did not tell me the actives etc. that night they called us and they did not even have us checked in. Next day email sent about liability waiver. Was told we should have gotten it with an email for check in as well. Nope.Staff needs to have some customer service training especially that this is suppose to be an a upscale resort.

This is a great little vacation spot with loads of amenities. Clean and mostly friendly staff. Front desk very welcoming! Thank you. The lady closing down the pool and bar area last evening obviously had a tough day. She was extremely rude, crabby and could use a few tips on communicating with customers. Hope her day goes better today. Don t drive by this little gem in the Spearfish area!

Pros: nice cabins, clean shower houses, spaciousness, location was awesome.Cons: NO INTERNET, EVEN THOUGH THEY INCLUDE THIS IN THEIR DESCRIPTION AND SERVICES. Service staff is very slow and unattentive. You Jay wait 20 minutes for a bag of ice because they are on the phone. Need one person to only checkout customers! Breakfast is poor. Need more choices. Selection in the store is poor. Need milk, eggs, snacks, etc. They have an ample supply of shirts, etc.Overall, the place is nice, but they need better management.Rooms: Small but overall clean and nice.

This is the nicest rv park we have ever stayed in, with many amenities although we never used any of them everything appeared clean and well kept. All rv sites are huge in comparison to every other park we ve ever stayed in. The staff are all excellent and willing to help if you need it.We liked it so well that we decided we would like to stay all summer next year so here s the reason for only 4 stars it is impossible to reserve a site for the whole summer even if they haven t booked sites because they hold sites for the Sturgis motorcycle rally and the Cool Deadwood nights and they apparently hold the sites for a week or so before and after these events. And while I understand loyalty to your customers who return yearly it makes it virtually impossible for any of the rest of us to make plans a year in advance. I don t understand why their repeat customers cannot be expected to make their reservations for next year when they leave that seems to be customary every where else we have been, or at least have a reasonable cutoff date to hold sites.

This RV Park is truly a RV Resort. Large concrete sites and very well maintained grass areas. It has a cafe and a bar and a large campground store. YUP and got a T-Shirt to prove it. WIFI has been very nice and pretty fast. Very close to travel to Deadwood and surrounding areas. They have many super nice log cabins to rent. Jsut a perfect spot to stay and visit all the places in the Black Hills.

This RV resort is fantastic. We stayed in a cabin there and it was super clean and had everything we needed. The only small complaint I have is the hot water seemed to run out fairly quick. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was large. The resort area is quiet and relaxing. And the grounds are kept very clean. The landscaping is really nice. There are also really nice laundry/showers on-site which is really convenient for washing clothes. I will stay here again if in the area and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We hosted our wedding at Elkhorn Ridge this past fall and couldn t be happier with our experience. The venues are beautiful, historic and very well maintained. We really enjoyed having our family and wedding party stay together at the on site cabins. The cabins are clean, cozy and convenient: just a short walk from the Elkhorn Ridge Event Center where we had our reception. In addition to the venue, Constance the Elkhorn Ridge Event coordinator is exceptional. From the first tour, through all the planning, and behind the scenes of the big event, she was there to make sure we had what we needed and help us keep track of the details. She was such a kind and genuinely caring person throughout the whole process, she really made us feel special and we couldn t recommend her more highly. We are so glad we decided to have our wedding at Elkhorn Ridge.

A true ResortReally nice CG with paved roads and cement pads. This has to be the nicest CG in the whole area. The pool was nice but not heated. There are scheduled activities and live music on Wednesdays. Our site 101 was not level, and we had to use blocks on the front wheels. Bathrooms are really nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating as well. The only thing that would make it better would be trees for shade. We camped at Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Gorgeous RV park surrounded by some of the best views in the north Black Hills. The park is wonderful with concrete pads for your RV and car plus a wide grass area with picnic table to enjoy nice days. This is a big rig friendly park with wide roads for easy navigating. Sites are generously spaced; We stayed in a back in site near the entrance the first few days and then moved to one of their long pull through sites. Both were good although our preference was the back in sites as there was more privacy and grass berm behind our coach as well. Their premium sites are very nice as well (especially if you can get one that overlooks the green field and hills). Most of the trees are still small so not much shad available.Overall, the facilities are beautiful. Front office/store is very cute and includes a coffee bar. The pool was clean and music and a food truck was brought in on a couple week nights. Note to management, please preview the music before hiring as the guy last week was unlistenable.Excellent staff and great customer service! They tried hard to accommodate us as we were without a place to stay.Overall, this is a great place to stay and centrally located between Spearfish and Deadwood, both great towns with restaurants and interesting attractions. The drive to Rapid City is about 40 minutes and it's an hour to Devils Tower in WY.

Absolutely our favorite place for events in this area! Five stars is not enough. Multiple buildings and multiple setups for any type of South Dakota experience you are looking for! The owners/managers are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and are extremely good at their job! Highly recommend if you're planning an event in this area to go take a tour. We will provide the entertainment if you like. Your entire day just got a whole lot easier if you include this location and our experience in entertainment.

I have been coming to this resort for several years and it keeps getting better. The sites are large and the trees are getting mature enough that they will offer some shade. When they are mature it will be fantastic. The bathhouses are scattered throughout the resort. Each bathhouse contains several large rooms that have a shower, toilet, sink and mirror, and are cleaned daily. The staff is very polite and always very accommodating. Both of our debt cards were compromised while visiting towns in the area. The new cards didn t arrive when the bank said they would. A employee, April, was very understanding and helped to make sure our new bank cards got to us after we left the resort. The General Manager Tyler was also very helpful. A great place to stay while in the Black Hills area.

I can't speak to the rooms or the resort, but the event center was a nice space. Well taken care of, clean bathrooms and our seemed like an easy place for catering. Better call for sure, but they seemed to be able to handle groups up to 100 or so.

Beautiful RV resort, we recommend the VIP spots, long enough for big rigs and tow vehicle. Have BBQ. Picnic tables, 2 Adirondack chairs. Pool with bar was nice. Would give 5 star but the hot tubs were filled with toddlers. Great gift shop. Would definitely stay here again.

We were so pleased and happy with this campground....from the pleasant staff, really nice bathroom facilities, really great pool and hot tubs which were so clean, live music and poolside bar certain nights, good size sites, big dog park, lots of walking paths around the huge campground and up to the gas station next door, really nice coffee shop and store in the office, only negative was the laundry was pretty expensive but clean room and lots of machines. All in all a really great place to stay!!

Been going to elkhorn ridge resort for several years to camp and ride motorcycles in the black hills. The resort is beautiful, very clean and well kept and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back in 2024.

This campground is one of the nicest we have stayed. Very well laid out, so that you don't feel like your on top of each other. The staff are friendly and the campground is clean. If you have Littles there is a playground and for the pups there is a separate dog park for both large and small ones. Cg has a pool but is closed for the season.

I really wish I could ve loved my stay.First of all, on the positive side, the park is very nice, very high end amenities, level concrete pads. Nice fenced in dog area. Pool & grounds are nice. Value for the money exceeds other campgrounds in the area.Unfortunately I didn t enjoy myself. I seemed to be put in the middle of a cluster of spots belonging to a family reunion of sorts & I felt in the way of this group. They constantly walked through my site. The group had dogs and they were never on a leash. I saw an unleashed dog poop on another site and since their owners weren t watching them, no one picked up after it.I have dogs, and had to constantly check to make sure the unleashed dogs weren t around when I took them out. (My dog was attacked by an unleashed dog at a different campground a few weeks ago).Bummer

Great location for touring the area. Park is clean, well maintained, and an office staff that s eager to help when needed. They offer a buffalo feeding adventure that s incredible. Spaces are a little skinny for a big coach but doable. Walking trails and dog park are a nice addition.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The park and amenities were very clean! The paved sites were spacious and level and made set up and break down very easy. There were multiple sewage drains at each site which is very convenient for RV's of varying sizes. The only downside - the planted trees are young and don't provide much shade on a 95 degree day. Enjoy your stay!

This is one of the only resort-style RV parks in the Black Hills offering mostly level concrete and very decent spacing between sites. They do have a few issues, however: (1) it appears to be staffed mostly by locals (as opposed to work-campers) who appear to have never RV d before and don t understand the business; (2) they allow the hotel-style reservation system to run the park, instead of logic and common sense, which results in many empty sites that could have been sold; (3) the gates to the pool are locked, requiring guests walk through the lobby in wet bathing suits to enter and leave the pool area; (4) we found the restrooms in the pool area to be filthy and not indicative of an RV resort; (5) each site features a post with site number on the side from which you approach, making it more difficult than necessary to enter the site with a big rig. Don t get me wrong - this is by far the best option around Spearfish, but they could make the park much better with just a few repairs and improvements.

LOVED Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort. The pull through lots are over sized. We saw 40 foot coaches, pulling trailers and cars and they all easily fit in the larger pull through lots. The lots are spaciously set apart from one another so you feel like it's a community, but you're still able to keep to yourself if you want. The grounds are immaculate. Horseshoe pit, basketball and tennis courts, pool, outdoor hot tub, event center, a cute walking trail at the rear of the property overlooking the mountains, the lounge and small bar area inside, plus the store, it's perfectly appointed. The free WiFi is just OK, good for checking email and pulling up directions. We opted for the $3.99 upgrade so we could stream through our Firestick. The laundry facility takes only quarters, so be prepared, but the front desk has prepackaged $10 quarters you can buy.The shower rooms are very nice. clean, well kept, well located throughout the ranch, easy to get to. Security was clearly thought of when considering the shower rooms. You walk into the main shower house (which also has a few washers and dryers, smartly located) and then there are individual rooms, kept separated by deadbolt. Each room has it's own bench, toilet, sink, counter and shower space. Water pressure was great, though the water temperature wasn't hot for long enough. That's my only complaint. About 5 minutes of hot water, then a cycle of 2-3 minutes of cold water, and then the hot water would return. A small inconvenience for such a wonderful place.Staff was nice, pleasant and helpful. The dog park is a HUGE home run. There are two. Small and Large (by pup size). But each is MASSIVE in size. I'd guess the large park, where our Golden played, is easily 30 yards x 30 yards. It's the biggest dog park we found through all of our 3,600 mile travels. If you have pups, they will be grateful you stopped here!Really impressed with this place. You could tell it's a new place, with smaller trees coming into maturity. But the owners clearly prioritized feel and comfort over cramming in more spaces. You feel safe, comfortable, and yet not on top of one another.Close to Spearfish Canyon too which was a nice day of hiking.HIGHLY recommend this place. Would stay again without hesitation. The highlight of our Texas>Colorado>Yellowstone>Rushmore trip!
