Started my run in Denver, where I got a new tire. Had a wobble halfway to spearfish (dealer spaced tired wrong). Made it to spearfish and my wheel bearing was torched. Took it to a different shop in town where they had it for a couple of days where they said they changed the bearings but due the custom wheel they couldn't align it correctly. Went to Backlash where Nicole was very upfront and said they would make it right. Cody got my bike on the lift right away, pulled my wheel and found my bearings were never changed much less greased from the other shop. They tore my wheel down got me new bearings realigned everything and got it all correct. Fixed my broken turn signal and even after hours got my oil changed to get me back on the road during the rally. From now on during Sturgis this is my shop. Good prices, amazing work and the knowledge to get things correct even after others screw ups.

Give a big shout out and thank u to Cody and his wife Nicole. Had electrical issues during Sturgis Bikeweek didn't have all the tool to do job myself, read previous reviews, called them and they stayed late to wait for me. Had bike fixed that evening when they called me back but wanted to fully check it over in the morning again, had bike back by 10 am. Made my rest of my trip across the country and back to Florida with no issues 10,126 mile of adventure. Great prices didn't take advantage cause it was Bikeweek

Had a high speed wobble while traveling at highway speed after new tires. Made it to Spearfish from CO and needed someone to ensure the front tire was balanced called Backlash and they were able to get me in and out in less than an hour with no appointment. Honest upfront pricing and even double checked the rear and mounting bolts. This is absolutely the go to shop!Service: Wheel alignment

I can t say enough good things about Backlash. My brothers bike broke down and they came through in a big way for us. They stayed late to make sure we got his bike back the next day. After our bike broke down in Spearfish we were so lucky to come across this local shop! They went above and beyond to help us out and got us up and running to enjoy the rest of the sturgis rally. I was traveling through South Dakota from Michigan and started having bike issues stopped in there they dropped everything looked at it figured out what was wrong got my in right away and got me back on the road. Cody is the best! He s fair, honest & knowledgeable. My 2013 Road Glide Custom engine light started flashing during the stop & go riding down Lazelle St. I knew I wasn t trusting a Harley Dealership, called them, made an appointment for 1st thing next morning. Minor error code, took care of me, had me back on the road within 90 minutes.

We are from Canada touring the US, and were in bad need of a tire. We called Cody late in the afternoon and he booked us when the shop opened next morning. He s quick with his tools, the shop is very professional, and I highly recommend his services. A real pleasure to deal with. I will see him again on my next trip south whether I need work or not.

Awesome experience! Cody quickly and thoroughly went through my clutch to fix all necessary components that were broken/wore out. Came in from St Louis for the 79th Sturgis Rally and ended up having clutch problems in Spearfish. Dropped the bike off and Cody quickly discovered the problem. He had the parts needed and got me back on the road the next day. The best experience I have ever had with a motorcycle shop. Cody is a great mechanic, and his shop provides amazing customer service. If you are ever in the Black Hills and need service on your bike you should look no further than Backlash!!!

I have worked with Cody many times over the years. One of the best mechanics I have ever known. He is very knowledgeable, honest, and fair. I know that if I send someone to Backlash that they will get the most fair and professional repair on there ride. Motorcycles are Cody's passion and it shows. He is a perfectionist in every way. You will never loose with Backlash. Honored to know Cody.

Thedrive belt broke on my Harley, I called and Cody came and picked my bike up so I didn't have to pay a tow bill to get it over to the shop. Fixed it very quickly, very knowledgeable. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

So I call one week needing new valve stems on my Yamaha. He was willing to help me if I bought new tires but when I called a week later go get my valve stems replaced they tell me they only work on harleys and cant get the valve stems. When I offered to get the valve stems they turned me down. So much for helping a guy be able to keep riding.

On the road from SC and my brother's clutch starts getting softer, regardless of the fact we were on Ducati's- this shop was willing to take a look and sort us out in short order. Back on the road now. Thanks Cody-

I would give them a million stars if I could. We up there during rally week and noticed a gas leak. I called many places and they said they could try to work me in. I called Backlash and she said to bring it over and they take a look. They had us in and out within an hour and for under 100. I was expecting to pay way more. She told us they dont charge Rally prices.

My chopper broke down with an electrical problem I couldnt fix on the side of the road. Called cody and an hour later he showed up with a trailer, and had it fixed that night. You're not going to find a better shop and a better group of guys.

Extremely friendly! Got me in and out right away after needing a new back tire while 1600 miles from home. Highly recommend them!
