Fast, high quality service. Had issues with my transmission and took it to Jim s for a diagnostic. True to the other reviews, they were very honest and up front and let me know it was just a leak issue. My vehicle runs beautifully now and they even fixed another issue free of charge since they were already working in that area of my car. Would recommend to anyone!

A few years ago I brought in a Ford Expedition to Jim s AT. It was experiencing a specific set of symptoms that matched a technical service bulletin issued by Ford.I relayed this info to the tech and printed out the service bulletin and gave him a copy. The tech proceeded to scold me as if I had no business trying to diagnose my car.I brushed it off, I wasn t trying to pretend I knew more, he s the professional so I left it at that.I was called back in and told I needed a complete rebuild. $4500!I in no way could afford the work and wasn t sure if I would even have the work done if I could.Left with no options, I decided to take a look myself. I pulled the pan in my driveway and removed the valve body. Lo and behold, the seal was cracked. The same seal and the same crack described in the service bulletin from Ford and printed out for the technician. $16 dollar part from Ford!They charged me over $100 dollars and did nothing I ask of them! Didn t even bother to check and verify my suspicions! It s all I ask them to do!Horrible service, they don t take customer concerns seriously and already know it all. I demanded a refund, which. I received one, but that isn t my point. $4500 rebuild?I m writing this review now, because I still drive this car over two years later. I have experienced ZERO problems with the transmission. I Hauled my trailer for 2500 miles recently.What gets me: if I was in able to pay the $4500 I may have opted for the rebuild. In that scenario, I maybe sitting here writing a five star review for a great rebuild.I guess if they tell everybody they need a rebuild, they re never wrong when the work is complete!Way to go on all your rebuilds, Jim .Service: Transmission

Great price and great service!! I had a transmission start slipping in 2nd 3rd gear brought it to Jims Transmission on Friday and by Monday had my vehicle ready with a new "rebuilt" transmission awesome turnaround time and fair price would definitely recommend.

Took my 06 GMC 1500 once I noticed transmission fluid under my vehicle. Dropped it off in the morning and by 9 I had a call from Jim s with not so good news. It would need a full rebuild and Dom and the crew were honest and upfront and advised I don t repair. They even waived the diagnostic fee as they could see this was a bigger issue now that I was out of a vehicle altogether. Great service. Great communication. Dom is excellent! Found ourselves in an unfortunate situation of needing a total transmission replacement. His expertise and great communication made the experience a piece of cake and would recommend to anyone needing transmission work.

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Did all they said they would in one and a half days. We were traveling from out of state, they even drove us to and from the hotel. Definitely recommend! 10 star service!!!Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I m another traveler from out of state, who s transmission died. By the grace of God, I made it to my destination. I barely made it over to Jim s Transmission.After diagnosing, that the transmission did indeed die & needed a total rebuilt.Mark & Dom knew, I was only in town for a week. Thankfully, they fixed my car & was ready within four days. That s with ordering & waiting on parts.I did not have to bother them with phone calls. Due to the fact, they called & kept me up to date with the progress.They even arranged a ride to my hotel. When my car was ready for pick up, they arranged another ride for me.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Jim's Transmission was hands-down the best place I could have ever gone for a new transmission. The guys working were great at keeping me informed and up-to-date with what was going on, as well as giving me a ride to and from work when necessary. They brought tears to my eyes when I picked my car up and they had a little goodie bag waiting for me. Having to go without a car is stressful. Having to deal with the unknown cost of repairs is stressful. But finding a place where the employees are friendly, communicative, and appreciative of your business is priceless. I strongly recommend their business and will always appreciate their kindness and professionalism during a stressful time for me.Service: Transmission

I took my vehicle to Jim's because I believe in the honesty of smaller businesses. And I was right they did an evaluation of my transmission to evaluate it and let me know that it was still in good running condition without charging me an arm and a leg. I appreciate their honesty and not trying to oversell me that something was wrong. I brought my van in to find out what it would cost to get my transmission fixed. They told me what was wrong, what my options were, and did not pressure to get it fixed right away. Just advised that if I do intend on keeping this vehicle that the issues will need to get fixed very soon. I am more on the side of getting a different vehicle, but if/when I ever do need repair, I definitely found my new repair guys. Thank you Dominic and the other mechanics. It's great to have peace of mind feeling I can trust my mechanic again.Service: Transmission

Extremely happy with these guys! They got my vehicle in the shop in a timely manner and significantly less then other places! Not to mention the people I spoke to were extremely helpful and answered any and all questions. Along with called me with updates. Definitely recommend!

These nice folks rebuilt my transmission in not only an extremely professional manner but they also got it done faster than expected and the price was even decently better than I thought it would be. Easy 5 star highly recommend, also thanks again to dom and Mark for making this experience superb.

Mark and Dom provided superior service for us in a very stressful situation. While travelling south from Canada, we experienced transmission failure. This company went beyond their line of duty to accommodate us and got us back on the road two days earlier than first predicted. They were the first to answer our call over a holiday weekend. Mark was great to speak with, he took my car and tried to diagnose what felt like the engine reving high due to not shifting at interstate speeds. He could not find anything and all was well according to his diagnostic equipment. Mark believed that I may have a bad wheel bearing or some type of other issue unrelated to my transmission. Was in town for weekend and when we went to leave the van would no shift gears. Was a Sunday with no place open. Called and he answered the phone, completely shocked, he said to bring in Monday morning. He diagnosed and provided update quickly. Had to order parts said he would try and get done. Advised I had a 4 hour drive home, Ask to do his best to get done. He got it done and I was on road by 5. Fair price, honest, and solid workService: Transmission

When I talk to Jim on the phone. He was very very knowledgeable of his business. So I drove 140 miles to have my vehicle fixed by him. Found the problem it was not the transmission. Instead of charge me $2500 he charge me $800. I really appreciate the honesty. Good guy. My car runs perfect and has run perfect ever since.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I was on a road trip from Seattle to Florida and had a few car issues which resulted in taking my car to Jim's transmission. Phil was so friendly, thorough and professional. He was knowledgeable and explained what he was doing every step of the way as we waited. I felt reassured with the knowledge that my car was in good hands. We were a bunch of women driving across the country and he made us feel at ease. Fortunately, he found nothing wrong and we were able to finish our trip with no issues. I recommend this business highly, because we were told earlier by another business, that we would need a new transmission costing over $4000.00. We returned home and verified with our local dealer that my car did not need a new transmission. Thanks Phil. God Bless you for your honesty.

Best experience I have ever had with an auto shop. While driving my kids to school, my transmission completely went out. It wouldn t accelerate and I had to pull over. After panicking, I called Jim s and spoke with Mark. He was incredible to work with. He made all kinds of phone calls on my behalf including finding me a local rental while my car was in the shop.
