Chris, the owner of Wicked Wrenches, has always been more than reasonable and honest in everything he charged as well as the work he has done! Never had a negative experience regarding him and his shop. If you're ever in Rapid City and need your vehicle checked out, I highly recommend you give Wicked Wrenches a try.Thank you Wicked Wrenches for all the great service and for going above in beyond!! I appreciate you and will be coming back again!

I have never been a patron to this business, but as I was getting ready to walk in the door to become one, I was standing outside of the locked front door at about 2 o clock in the afternoon and after hearing the way that he talked to two other customers that were there, but all they wanted to do was pick up their parts and their vehicles because of bad service I would never go there. He was never apologetic. He was never nice. He was rude and arrogant to those people. there was another gentleman there with a different business shop name on the back of his shirt loading stuff up that gentleman was so polite. That is where I ended up going,

On August 20, 2022 we had our truck towed to this business. We needed a new transmission . We purchased a high end performance transmission so we didn't have any trouble pulling our 5th wheel for the price of $8800.00. We picked the truck up on October 3, 2022 and drove it 50 miles home. We didn't drive it throughout the week until October 10, 2022 which it then started acting up, we barely got it back to Wicked Wrenches. We were told they would need to check it out and see what's going on. We were left to find our own way home. A few weeks went on and we are told it has a bad torque converter, it will be a few weeks..... Waiting waiting waiting, then it needs a while me transmission, waiting waiting waiting.... Finally we are told after we called on March 3, 2023 that it's arrived BUT there are other vehicles in the bays that will be there awhile so they don't know when they can get to it!!! Okay, I hate writing bad reviews, it take take allot to push me to this point. But they have had our truck since August 20, 2022 ( except for the week we had it back ) and they won't make time to get it finally done!!!!! I could probably have overlooked the 6 mos they have had it, but now you won't get it done??Service: Transmission

This shop deserves 5+ stars!! We are traveling cross country and ran into some car trouble that needed immediate service in order for us to continue our trip. I called Wicked Wrenches and the owner Chris did everything he could to get our Jeep seen right away with no appointment. The mechanic Michael fixed the issue and had us back on the road within an hour. We could not be more thankful for their help. We highly recommend you give them a call for any of your vehicle needs!!

I was hesitant to try a local shop but im so glad I did. The owner was extremely nice and helpful. I was just visiting rapid city and needed an alternator ASAP and he was able to put a new alternator in the same day for a fair price.Wicked wrenches also called me the next day to follow up and make sure everything was good with my car. Excellent customer service, I will definitely recommend and go back for any auto needs!

Traveling through from Indiana with a travel trailer and ran into transmission issues. Owner ran the codes for free and explained the issues to my husband. Unfortunately, it would take a week to get the parts in, but he would have fixed it right then if he could. Very nice and appreciated the help. If it was not so massive of a breakdown with complex parts needing ordered I know he would have had us back on the road same day. Greatly appreciated his time!

Took a Chevy to them for engine replacement in May 2022. Returned the vehicle to them three times: running poorly, no power, several sensors unhooked, vacuum lines unhooked, vacuum leaks, brackets unhooked, lifters not adjusted, check engine light on within minutes (each time), stalling, backfires, general mess. In January 2023 I finally got the vehicle back and the plug wires melted off the first day and I broke down along the road. After nearly a year of dealing with the shop, I took the vehicle to another mechanic in February 2023. The following was found: bad distributor, timing incorrect, plugs gapped wrong, missing and broken heat shields, melted wires on O2 sensor and oil sensor, bad vacuum lines, various screws and bolts missing. I am also assuming the a/c is no longer charged, but obviously I cannot verify in February. Vehicle now runs phenomenally, thanks to another mechanic. I clearly will not do business with Wicked ever again, nor would I recommend services.Service: Engine repair

Traveling from out of town and hit a deer. Went in early Monday morning and Chris ordered all the necessary parts to work on the truck Tuesday morning. Got on the road the next day and had a very minor issue on the way home. I talked to Chris and he worked with my local mechanic to get it solved. No issues, sound work and reasonable rates. Definitely would go back if in rapid city.Service: Auto body & trim repair

Found these guys online. So glad we did..they are super professional, fun and the owner Chris and his wife are simply amazing. Service was super fast and reasonable. They even loaned us a car to go and eat while he worked on our truck. We will definitely be back. I was on vacation with my family and ended up with truck problems. I called the shop and explained my situation that we just came in from MN and I needed help with my truck shutting off. Even though they were fully booked up over a week out, Chris the owner said to come on in and he'd take a look. He was very informative, used laymen terms, explained in detail step by step of what he would do depending on what code came up. He fixed my truck in less time then he said it might be. AWESOME JOB, FRIENDLY, AFFORDABLE and GREAT SERVICE ALL THE WAY AROUND! The ladies in the office are super friendly and courteous. If I lived in Rapid City this would be the ONLY place I'd have work on my vehicles. Chris KNOWS HIS STUFF!!!!! We came into Rapid City and needed repairs done quickly before our return trip. Wicked Wrenches was able to diagnose the problem we were having and repair it quickly for a very fair and reasonable price. Once we were back home, we were so pleasantly surprised to receive a follow up call asking how our van was doing and making sure we were completely satisfied. I have never received service this good. Thank you so much!

I really wish I could give these people 10 stars. Traveling And RV started having issues in the state park. Had to be towed. I called and Chris said he would be happy to look at it but wasn t sure he d be able to fix it until the following day or Monday and I agreed to that since he had great yelp reviews. I figured at least he was honest.When I got there, his wife, Tina, said they had five vehicles towed in that morning and it was crazy busy. But as soon as my RV was off the tow truck, Chris got in it and drove it around the block to see if he could figure out what was going on with it. He Took the time to sit down with me in the customer service area and explain the things that could possibly be wrong with it and said he would do some test. No,as a woman with very little mechanical knowledge, I am always a little bit concerned about being taken. Chris spent a lot of time on my vehicle that afternoon and thought he had it figured out for a very small price. I couldn t believe it. So grateful to have found them. They are honest, hard-working small business and I wish them all the best. I traveled 50 miles with no problems so hopefully we have it all figured out..

This is not the place you want your vehicle serviced. Chris the owner will take advantage of your pocketbook and will give you the run around about your vehicle. Will put in parts that have nothing to do with the problem and charge you without even a consent from you. Wicked Wrenches was very helpful and very nice to us! We had some issues where some fabric had gotten wrapped around our drive shaft (weird problem) and we got it off but wanted to check that it was all okay. Wicked wrenches got us in day of and was able to look at it and tell us it was good to drive. Didn t even charge us! Super sweet guy and would highly recommend their business to anyone. Tried to tip them but they just put it in a fund for people who can t afford repairs on their cars. Such nice people!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Chris diagnosed and repaired our 2013 Dodge Cummins while we were in South Dakota on vacation and got us back on the road. He took the time to speak with us and our mechanic back home in New Hampshire to figure out what was wrong with the truck. Then he repaired it in a timely manner. Awesome people! I Broke down when leaving rapid city, i called and the lady at the front told me to bring my car in, noone else in town would even look at my car because it was so close to closing time..they looked at my car even though they were closing, got the part in the next day and fixed it.Very honest and at a great price.Businesses like this are hard to find anymoreService: General repairs & maintenance

We rolled in on Thursday with issues with our old motorhome during our big roadtrip through the US. Chris took time to find out what the problem was immediately. We could park in the lot overnight and on Friday he fixed what needed to be done very efficiently. We were back on the road on Friday afternoon. Couldn' be happier with the professional service. We were in south Dakota in August for the bike rally and had a problem with our motorhome. No one in the area was able to help us. Wicked wrenches helped us get back on the road safely. Not only did they do the job for a reasonable price they also made sure we were comfortable as we waited. I would highly recommend them. Thank you for your awesome service.

Chris and Tina are wonderful people. For the amount of work they did on my truck the bill was surprisingly less than I thought it would have been. They're easily $1,000 less than what the dealer would have wanted. if I need anything else in the future I will definitely be coming back.

We pulled into Rapid City late afternoon on a Friday needing an alternator and started at the Honda dealer, who couldn t help us until Monday morning. Thank goodness for Chris and Tina at Wicked Wrenches. They stayed late in the shop to get our car back on the road that evening even though they had another car they were also working on. Both of our vehicles were repaired quickly and at a very fair price. If we lived in Rapid City Wicked Wrenches would be our mechanic. Thank you SO much!

We were traveling through the area the week before the Sturgis Motorcycle rally starred. I found WW on the Amzoil site as an authorized dealer. I called and asked if they could get me in for an oil change. The owner asked me to call back in a hour so that he could make sure he had access to the correct oil and filter. I called back and he was able to fit me in around 4. The service was fast and efficient. My wife and I along with our dog were welcome to wait in their waiting area which was spotless as was their restroom. They had us back on the road within an hour. If you're in the area, and need service, check with Wicked Wrenches first!

We are from out of town and our car broke down outside of Rapid City on a Saturday afternoon. Not much was open and we were lucky to find woken wrenches from our tow company. Chris was extremely friendly and helpful fixing our car after hours on a weekend as well as giving us recommendations for rentals and hotels. He stayed later than his shop is usually open and provided great service. He also was able to fix our car right when they opened early Monday to help us get back on our schedule quickly. Definitely recommend wicked wrenches if you are local or from out of town.

We live 11 hours away and had a brake caliper seize up on a Fri afternoon and these wonderful people took us in and had it fixed in 2 hours. Chris is a good mechanic and person!!This was after Goodyear around the corner told me that he's not going to be able to help me until the middle of the following week and was certain he couldn't give me any names in town that would be any better.Service: Brakes

My daughter s vehicle started acting up. We took it to one place and they did not fix it very well but charged a great deal. We were frustrated and someone recommended Wicked Wrenches. We took a chance and brought the vehicle to them. He was honest, thorough and upfront with us. We were very impressed!!
