Flat tire on an icy and cold I-90 near New Underwood. AAA sent Olson s towing and Rick arrived within about 35 minutes. Rick was awesome and was very conscious to put our safety first. He was great to work with in every way. I appreciate the fast service and the great customer care!

Upon receiving a quote for a tow from a location outside of Rapid City, the female on the phone told me I would receive the first 5 miles for free and would be charged accordingly. After the driver showed up, he took pictures of my vehicle, and we proceeded to go to the destination. My bill reflected I was charged for the whole trip. After my vehicle was fixed, I saw that my driver's side mirror was broken, I had just replaced this and it absolutely made me angry. I emailed Olsen towing twice to tell them it was broken and to send me the pictures they took, as I believe they broke my mirror. I have had NO responses. NO sort of communication since these emails were sent. What kind of company doesn't even try to figure out an issue with a customer?! I would not go through them again l.

Tractor trip for Parkinson s had a trailer issue that needed attention and Olson towing helped save the day. They also generously donated there services to our trip across country. Your kindness is so very much appreciated

I would give zero stars and highly consider another towing service! I guess they're able to determine road conditions based on pictures alone and refused to pull my car out of the ditch along a private driveway. They couldn't be bothered to look with their own eyes. I won't ever call this company!!Edit:Another sign of a terrible company is one that only acknowledged positive reviews. They don't care to acknowledge their screw ups.

My mother was outside of rapid with a major flat, when the tow showed up he said he wouldn t do it due to the dog. My mother tried to explain that myself could come and get him right away since I was less than 10 minutes away, he left her sitting there. When something like that happens unexpectedly it s nice to deal with a good person that s gonna help all they can. Olson didn t help.

Driver arrived early and was very kind over the phone. Helped us out since we were not present at the pick up. Highly recommend. Very professional.

Nobody likes being towed, but Helped us out during a busy week in South Dakota. Both drivers great guys. Was flexible with access to impound yard to transload our cargo

On a road trip Illinois bound from California, our battery died at the Belvidere east bound rest stop. Unfamiliar to the area we are VERY VERY appreciative of Scott from Olson Towing in SD. I had a semi parked at a local truck stop for an extended time broke down due to a wiring issue. It was towed- rightfully so. However, it should not be $1200 to tow a semi (with no trailer) 6 miles. I love how they also justify a $250 fee to send out a certified letter. I had a semi and trailer towed in a blizzard last February 19 miles from a different company for $915. So I'm curious as to how they can justify their numbers? I have tried contacting the owner of Olson Towing multiple times to ask how and why their prices are double and I haven't heard a word back. He must be embarrassed for having being confronted on why his rates are out of line. I know I would feel absolutely guilty. I wasn't upset about my truck getting towed one bit- that was my fault for not getting it out of there to a shop. But instead my bill was so high, I let them have a $15,000 semi that I worked very hard to buy. I would let Hunter Biden give me the covid shot with his own needles before I ever did business with Olson Towing, Tow Pros, or the Zylstra Towing/ Olson Towing in Sturgis. This is a small community and you guys need to be better.

Olson is the best. They took such care of me and our bike. They made sure I got back to my hotel safe. If you ever need a tow definitely call them, they are great people. Thank you Olson for taking care of me and my husband's bike. When back in Sturgis we will definitely come by and say hi. I will be post this on my fb here in Texas...Again great and honest people!!!

My 1 ton dually pickup broke down approx 45 miles east of Rapid City. Olsen rescued me and hauled it into a repair shop in Rapid City. Their service and communication was excellent. Olson towing and specifically Dillon made a problematic situation smooth. Had a bike breakdown 80 miles outside of Rapid City during Sturgis Bike Week. My Roadside Assistance service was struggling for a couple of hours to find someone. Olson towing quickly answered their phone and had someone set up to get me. Dillon called when he was on his way and when he was close. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and did everything he could to protect my bike during transport. Load and Unload was a smooth process. I highly recommend Olson Towing - especially Dillon.Service: Motorcycle towing

I met a woman named Margret. She was sitting in front of the Hope Center which is a resource center for the homeless. She had a few bags & lacerations on her face & forehead. After speaking with her I learned she was from Minnesota & her alternator on her 2001 Toyota van went out & she pulled into a hotel parking lot in the Rapid City/Box Elder area. She lives in the vehicle & has everything she owns in it. The manager at the hotel turned it in to get it towed. Olsons towing responded to the police dispatch & towed the vehicle. Immediately after Margret lost her home (her vehicle) she was admitted into the hospital with a severe flu thought to be COVID-19. She was there for an extended duration. Margret was told by the nurses they would contact Olsons towing & see if there s anything they can do to help so she doesn t lose her home & everything she owns. Immediately after the hospital stay Margret was assaulted in front of the Hope Center & her bag (purse) with all of her identification, documents, financial cards, her phone & her belongings were robbed from her & she was hit & knocked down lacerating her head & face. All of her cards & ability to even get her monthly SSI (Social Security to live on) were stolen. Margret has no way to get her SSI money now. It s shortly after this I met Margret. After learning & verifying these absolutely unfortunate events I called Olsons Towing. I spoke to Jolene (something like that) & was told the van was to be over $1,500.00 dollars & the next day the title was to be considered abandoned & they we re going to take permanent possession of it. I explained to Olsons Towing the vehicle problems, the violence, being robbed, her dilemma with her ID, phone, financial cards & the hospital stay & the total homelessness & was told that my information & the story would be passed on & someone would call me the next day. No one called. It s so unfortunate that such a big company, with the Cities Police using Olsons Towing services would be so bent on doing everything they can to rack up an exorbitant, daily free (daily impound free - thousands of dollars) & bend over backwards - ignoring their customers & their word just to be able to keep a beat up, homeless, 71 year old ladies car (home) to sell & make a few bucks. I begged them on the phone to please work with us so we can maybe get some kind of charity to help or at least get her identification documents back to then get her SSI coming somewhere so she doesn t lose the few things she has left. But it seems I was lied to by Olsons Towing; ignored, & at the least, I never was contacted back by them like I was told. I can t help but be annoyed as I think of how many vehicles that Olsons towing has acquired through their contract with the surrounding law enforcement departments & the Pennington County police & sheriff s department. People who already don t have much are basically robbed by insanely priced & unfairly accumulated fees, costs & impound services. It s preying on the weak, the oppressed & the helpless. I would even ask that this case would be investigated criminally.Service: Car towing

Great driver! However, if you're a AAA member in this area - I wish you luck. Took 8 hrs to tow me - not 40 mi. from Rapid?!?

We couldn't be more impressed with the excellent customer service of Olsen Towing. Our truck broke down in town and not only did the tow truck arrive way before the promised time, but Dillion was going above and beyond. He couldn't have been more helpful and efficient, operating the wrecker and our truck most safely. Especially, considering how inconsiderate fellow car drivers were, where no one didn't even slow down and made the task of loading all the more dangerous for Dillon. What an awesome young man you have on your team, Olsen Towing! We will always call you from now on when we are in the lurch with a broken-down vehicle.Service: Car towing

This business is amazing we broke down 37 miles outside of Rapid City,on our way home to Montana. Randy was sent out to come get us our truck and trailer. I had a tire blowout on the interstate and contacted my insurance company as I have roadside assistance, they in turn contacted Olson Towing, who sent out Danny, he was very prompt, professional, and thorough on.
