After what I've heard and have seen first hand, I would never go here. Guaranteed you'll bring back anything they work on to fix (attempt to fix) again. The people are nice, but the skill and workmanship is so low it doesn't register on any scale. Avoid this shop at all cost.

I have an older truck that needed to pull a 34 ft. Trailer. After the first pull, my transmission temp climbed near 250 degrees.So we called Logan's transmission.From the initial phone call to invoice paid, John was very friendly and professional. He put me at ease because I was worried that I need to either buy a new transmission or a newer truck to tow the trailer. John recommended a flush and fluid change. During the flush John kept me updated. He informed me that the transmission still looks good (nothing in the pan) so they continued with the flush.My high milage truck is now pulling my 34ft. trailer with transmission temps normal! I was headed westbound on 90 when the transmission in my old GMC van decided it was ready for retirement. Managed to limp in to Rapid City, getting a tow the last mile from Olson Towing (who were also top notch). I was in a bit of a time crunch, and though they were completely booked up, they managed to work me in and source a quality reman unit from Certified Transmission in just a couple of days. It's been a couple of months now and the transmission is performing flawlessly. Top notch guys to deal with all in all.Service: Transmission

This is a great shop to get your transmission needs done. They took their time to find the root of my problem. My situation was a little unique and it did not make sense to make the repair at the exact moment. However, I plan on using this shop for future transmission needs. Great service, reasonable price, and no pressure sales.

Logan's did a transmission flush, changed transmission filter and torqued the valve body back to factory specs. The vehicle drives and shifts way better than before. Customer service is great!!! Thanks Guys.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

900 miles after they fixed my transmission it went out again. I called them to find out that they do not warranty anything! The parts have a manufacturer warranty but Logan s does not warranty anything,Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Logan's Transmission is our choice for any of our vehicle transmission problems. We have used them several times over the years and they never let us down. They have integrity!

I was passing through from Canada when my transmission in my ram 3500 dropped death. I called many places that did not inspire me confidence. Then i spoke to Jim and John at Logan's so i brought them my truck. They installed me a road ripper transmission for a very reasonable price. Once they got all the parts they got me back on the road that day. I made it back home to Canada transmission is working great. They were fast honest and the price was very good thanks guy's... i highly recommend them

We were traveling across country pulling a boat. The transmission was starting to act up. We called several places, but every one said that they were booked up for a month. (That doesn't help anyone when thier traveling) The great crew at Logans squeezed us in and got us back on the road. No up saleing. They checked everything out for us, did a quick repair, and I feel confident the rest of our travels will be fine!! I cant thank the crew enough for what they did!! I take all of my trans problems to Logan's. I own a small car lot in town so I am always taking them different makes and models. They are great with communicating to me the problems, and different options available when fixing my vehicles. They do great work and are very timely with their repairs. I recommend them anytime someone is having transmission problems!

After another business charged me for a transmissiin that was never put in I took my van to Logans and they spent 45 minutes driving and diagnosing my van for no fee. Guys are very knowledgable and friendly. Just had work completed at Logans and van is like brand new!! John is the best. They quoted me one price but found something else wrong and repaired it for same amount. What a quality place!!

We were on a 4 week National Parks vacation with our 25' trailer and our Ford F150 had transmission slips in drive. They were responsive to our needs, gave good service and were reasonable in cost. I am writing this review a few days later near Sioux City, IA, after driving with the trailer. The transmission is working fine.

AWESOME ! They did a complete rebuild back in 2000 for me and that worked great. Then they did a performance rebuild on a 1995 Impala SS for me which was superb. I had to sell it because I was getting into trouble with it. Just this year, 2016, they replaced a leaky master cylinder for me, and some other work. My clutch has never felt this good, and shifting had never been this easy in this old Jeep. Great folks.

Taking the family vacation out west (2016) in the RV when the transmission started dumping fluid out the front seal while going up Mount Rushmore. Got towed to Logan's transmission shop. They said it would probably be fine to continue if I just didn't overheat it again, but I wanted them to go ahead and replace the seal with a new one and install a trans temp gauge.They got us fixed quickly and the bill was just about half of what I expected it to be. Good group of guys there! Thank you from Ohio!!!

Was referred to drop off my truck at Logan s for transmission work. Brought truck in on a Friday afternoon and was told they would get to it Monday morning, the following Thursday I got a call saying it was done. Picked up the truck and 3 miles later the truck had the same issue. Brought it back and they said they would order a $800 part to be delivered the next day they called back on Friday and said that didn t fix it either. They said they would have to do another $650 worth of labor to see what s wrong and they would pull the transmission 1st thing on Monday morning. I asked when to expect it done and they said by Tuesday. I had not received a call by Wednesday morning so I called to follow up. They said they where just now pulling it apart to see what was wrong. I will update review when they actually get the truck done.

Had my car with failed tranny towed to Logan's shop. They took it in and provided a free evaluation and then provided options for repair. They gave honest suggestions that included doing nothing. Nobody else in Rapid City I would use for transmission repair.

If you have any transmission problems or need to have routine maintenance done, this is the place to go. When my transfer case broke they checked out the problem for free. The repairs were completed in 1 day and the cost for repairs was very reasonable. The staff are very professional and explained everything that needed repaired before work began.

you know...........I am one of the first ones to complain about service.....but this time I am damn well impressed............these guys are first class........honest up front and take care of you.........aamco transmissions wanted a minimum of $2500..00 and up to $3500.00 without even looking deeper into the problem!.........and I know damn well it would have been $3500.00...........Logan found a couple of bearings going out....(that's why all of the shavings) ...replaced those and the seal....any other place would have taken full advantage and double charged!....IMPRESSED!........ACTUALLY DESERVE A 10 STAR!!

I love this folks , straight up Good Folks , knowledge , Super Friendly , I recommend these Folks Hands Down , before you spend a Ton of money on your Transmission give them a call and take them some Doughnut , lol , they look a little skinny , just kidding , Really Good Folks !!!!!

There are bunch of great guys there they help me out and figured out the actual problem with my truck most places would just keep on charging me to fix it but they actually took the time to figure out why my transmission kept going out on me

Got me in quickly, very friendly, and made sure everything was done right. Highly recommend
