I had to take my department s work van here to get an oil change. Even though there were a few people already being helped when I arrived, I was greeted immediately, and with a great big smile! I waited there for the van to be done because I knew it wouldn t take long. The service department was very efficient. They got done much quicker than I expected even though they checked the tires, and had to put air in some of them. If I didn t already do my own oil changes, I would definitely consider bringing my personal vehicle there.

Took our vehicle in for an alignment. After an inspection, we were told that our vehicle needed 1500.00 worth of repairs before an alignment should be done. We were a bit suspicious when we heard the technician telling another customer in the waiting room that he needed the exact same repairs to his vehicle. Took our vehicle to another shop in town. Our vehiclewas aligned, got new tires and is as good as new..Surprisingly enough.. those repairs were not needed.

We went in with 2 bad front tires. 1 was showing the metal threads. We were only going to get 1 tire because that was all we were approved for from our boss. The guys were so concerned about the other tire they did not want us to drive on that other bald tire. They are awesome and actually care. I urge anyone needing tires to go to this place!

This Company's Service of Excellence is defently applied to our transportation industry. Highly recommended by myself, where your visit of a friendly environment remains with you far after the service was completed

had tire issues, manager spent more time trying to convince me that the issue was me, did not want to solve the issue, even after I spent money following his advice. would not recommend this business to anyone.

The guys that mount the tires are OK but some of the office people are sarcastic jerks. I'd prefer going elsewhere but this is where the company wants me to buy tires. One word of caution: stay with your truck while waiting. If you drop it off and leave everyone will be put in front of you. Left my truck there one Sunday night with the keys. I was the only one there when I dropped it off. Came back about 9:00 am thinking replacing one tire wouldn't take long. They ran everyone who came in around me and it was almost noon before it was done. Then I got attitude from the A-hole I complained to.

Great people. They were able to get me back on the road quickly. We pulled the RV in at 4:00 on Friday and they had me going by 5. Without them the first few days of the Sturgis Bike Rally would have been ruined.Service: TiresService: Tires

Horrific. Makes me sick how they ruined my car. They stole screws, clips, plastic wind/rain sheets from both doors and even stole my window regulator cover. They scraped up my door panels, broke door handle, and got grease on my seat. They put in incorrect windows per VIN for my car. Also, my original UV car windows were broken ON their property and service manger Mike could have cared less. They didn't even clean the glass out of the doors. I paid them $1000 and their "mechanic" did more damage to my car than that. So far I'm over $500 trying to collect the parts they removed/damaged from my car. Horrible, horrible work. Unlike Mike, who literally screamed at me on the phone, Scott was nicer. But he tried to gaslight me into believing that there never was a steel window regulator cover on my door. Uhh, yes, there was. Just look online. Or at the other door! And he told me the plastic barriers they removed are not important. Then why did the OEM put it on there? Plus they're mine and I want them. And he told me my door was "rotten." It's not! Not rusted and the plastic shrouds the screws go into, not counting the ones they stole, are intact! (But, I don't have all my screws because they lost/stole them). Steer clear of this shop!!!

Do not go here. They will break parts on your vehicle then make you pay for it. I took my vehicle in for an alignment. Soon after they started I was told my brake line got bumped and broken. I do most the work on my vehicles and recently changed ball joints and wheel bearing.I bump the brake line all the time and it held up. So it took some force to break that line. In the end I had to pay an extra 200 for their clumsiness.

I could write a lot of details about my experience, but at the end of a disappointing day, when I received their estimate and told them I would not be having more work done at their location, they really didn't care. They have fleet contracts so assisting individuals are their lowest priority and certainly not worth their time. Just completely unimpressed with how willing they were to treat people poorly, but not even remotely surprised. It's how most businesses are in the Dakotas.Service: Tires

Brakes got messed up on our road trip. Other places we went to in town were awful, but these guys checked on our car, made sure we were OK in a half an hour. And offered all of us free hamburgers and BBQ items in the back of the shop. The hospitality and professionalism is second to none and made a day from hell one that was immediately relaxing.

We were on a road trip to SD from WI when we discovered our van was leaking coolant. We called some shops and no one would get us in but fortunately someone recommended Great Western. They fit us in within two hours, fixed the problem, and got us back on the road. They were very friendly and even recommended places to walk to for lunch while we waited. It's an awful thing to have car trouble on a road trip. They made what could have been a terrible experience a rather pleasant one!Service: General repairs & maintenance

While traveling with our fifth wheel we had a leak in our new Endurance tire and this store looked and looked and then resealed the rim. Excellent customer service and care shown by Tanner and the store! Thank you!

We were visiting from out of town, when our muffler fix decided to not be fixed anymore. The guys at Great Western Tire were the only shop in town who even considered squeezing us in, and then they went a step further and fixed our muffler issue way better than we ever could have. They were very courteous and did not over charge us for a piece of pipe and a weld. Could not have been happier with the outcome! Thank you again!!

Want great speedy service with a smile & a laugh? Visit these guys! They were on point with everything. Even allowed us to stay in the vehicle with the dogs as they did the work. This service is unheard of back home on the east coast. When visiting again i would definitely stop in for work at Great Western in Rapid City again Also the service manager is a crack up! Great way to start your day with a new tire & a smile.

Customer care is a priority. Pricing of 4 tires on my truck was fair and affordable. Salesman took his time to explain the difference in 4 ply vs. 10 ply tires. Was not like we were just another couple hundred dollars rolling in. I would return. On top of that who else provides you with an estimated diagnosis of your wheel alignment. Also careful checking competitors pricing, Great Western had the better price. Saved about $150.00.

I couldn't ask for better service. They were able to get me out of a jam with a frozen wheel bearing spline shaft. Scott took it right back & they had it pressed out in less than 15 minutes.Next day he pressed out my old bearing & installed new one for me. Great service & pricing.

Don't waste your time going to this place they charged for an alignment even though they did nothing other than tell us what parts were broke. I am an old alignment technician and I can tell you that I have done hundreds of alignment checks that I didn't charge for when things needed to be fixed first. charging to do nothing is not good business practice. I'd love to talk to someone from this facility if they want to talk about my review Mike schonService: Steering & suspension repair

Tires, seem very honest, tires to buy no appointment needed, priced 4 -10plys in a Goodyear tire $1400 installed sounds like a little over priced to me at over $350 a tire installed. Bought 4- 16ply from the tire rack online for just over $112 + 18.38 + free delievery, mounted balanced installed myself.

Great staff and fair prices. Worked with Mike at the counter and he treated me good on two trailer tires and a rim. I told him what I needed and he went through the options of what they had in stock and explained the differences. In the end the only difference that mattered to me was a good made in USA tire that they had. Service didn't take long either.

I called but they couldn't get me in on short notice.... which is totally understandable, they are super busy! Talked with a guy that helped me out temporarily, until I can get car in shop. I will definitely be scheduling vehicle maintenance there as I appreciate them taking the time to assist me.

Took my BMW X1 in after hitting a curb from an ice patch. Only place in town that could fit me in day of. Original diagnosis was alignment out (makes sense) - fixed that. Still didn't feel right. Brought back in later that same day. Next, say the wheel is bent (also makes sense). Got a new wheel 5 days later, still didn't feel right. Figured it had to be a warped rotor or something wrong with the wheel bearing. Brought it back in day after new wheel. Indeed, the hub flange was bent. Overall, Robby and Matt gave me great service and communicated very well -- would definitely recommend them. Only thing that frustrated me was that it took three visits to find the root problem. Could have easily covered all the bases and checked the wheel & hub on the first visit. They did negotiate labor charges, which I appreciated. Guys up front okay, guys in back great.

Stop by to get new tires which thanks to Good Year rebates were at really good price. While I was there I also tried to get an alignment. I was told that the vehicle could not be align due to having loose upper ball joints and they gave me a $600 estimate. I had just replaced the upper ball joints 5 months before in May. I then took the pick up to a dealer for alignment and turn out the ball joints were fine.

I normally don't write reviews, but I wanted to say a big "thank you" to the guys at Great Western Tire! I had a leak in my tire for months that eventually blew into a hole. The next morning I went there at 8 and, even though they were busy, they were able to get my car in. It was quick service for a great price, and they even disposed of my tire and recalibrated my TPS. Within two hours, I was back on the road. Thank you!Service: Tires

While traveling from Massachusetts to Mt Rushmore I encountered problems with the tires on my travel trailer. Deciding to replace all four of them due to safety concerns I found Great Western Tire in Rapid City SD. After pulling in with no appointment I had four new tires and was back on the road in an hour and a half. The sales staff and technicians were extremely friendly and accommodating. It could not have been a better experience.

Terrific service going out if there was to help.We are traveling though yet they worked us in for an oil change and to rotate/balance tires. Not a big job for them and as travelers no repeat business. Yet they understood or plight got us right in and did the work for a very reasonable fee. If it is service you need and a commitment to doing in it right you will love this place!

We broke down in the mountains and was towed here! After being told by other shops that it could be up to 2 week's before they could get to us and would take 4-5 day's to fix, our warranty company sent us here and they got us in quick and fixed our truck in 2 day's! Even loaned us a truck to take our rental truck back!! Nicest staff ever!! Extra Thanks to Scott for all he done for us! You made a bad situation a lot easier to handle! We was afraid that we had to go back home to Indiana but with your help we continued our 25th wedding anniversary trip to Yellowstone, Washington and we are still going! Your rated number 1 mechanic shop in our book's!
