I went to Floyd s on February 1, 2024. To have Hodgebuilt stainless steel fenders put on my semi truck. I supplied all of the materials. All I needed them to do were drill holes in the frame and put the fenders on. I was charged almost $1700. The mechanic Nate that was working on installing the fenders for me left for about an hour and a half to take his little sister to work. Intern, I was charged for that hour and a half while no one worked on my truck. The next day the fenders had to be readjusted. And it took 2 1/2 hours to do that. And I was charged for that. The following day I was in Bismarck, North Dakota the rear fenders came loose, because no Loctite was used. But yet I was charged for it. So I had to go to Freightliner in Bismarck North Dakota and have them re-tightened. Which Floyd s paid for. I called Dorrin to speak with him about my bill. He told me that my bill was fair because they did me a favor by getting me in their shop. How is charging me $1700 and charging me for your employee leaving and no one working on my truck how is that doing me a favor. I was originally quoted about 4 to 6 hours to do the work. And ended up paying for 10 1/2 hours or more. And plus materials and parts. That were not used. If the owner of Floyds could please contact me, I would greatly appreciate it. The only person that works there that was respectful and nice Spencer.

Our Motorhome broke down outside of Rapid City and we're towed to Floyd's Truck Center. They were very busy, but they got our coach into the shop at the estimated time. The shop is immaculate, mechanic very good, everyone we delt with was professional and caring. We ended up having our fuel pump replaced. If we are in the area and need work done to our coach, I would bring it to Floyd's. Thanks guys

Arrived at 1045 am on a Friday for a coolant leak in our motorhome and I should have known when I walked in and 2 guys kept talking instead of addressing a customer, the guy I had spoken to on phone Kieren checked us in. Dude does not need to be working with the public. We sat in the lounge all day and despite my better judgement, my husband told me they were extremely busy, not to bother them, they would get to us. Well at 6pm when he went out to walk out dog, Justin asked him what we were waiting on, as they closed at 7 and that Kieren had left at 4 and they probably couldn't get to us til Monday. I was livid. 7 hours with NOTHING. Justin worked quickly to get us seen and he and Denver did what they could at closing time to get us the part they thought we needed and also made my husband feel better about monitoring the situation and going on with our trip. Can't say I'd recommend but Justin and Denver did what they could and we appreciate them greatly!

I have a class C motorhome and I ve been to Floyd s twice. I have no complaints with the work, but I was a little dismayed with their charges this last time. I had a tire that was not holding air and went to a tire shop in Gillette, Wyoming. They were able to discern that it was not a problem with the tire but a cracked wheel which they did not work on. So I went back to Floyd s and told them what the problem was. They took off the tire and were able to confirm that there was a problem with the wheel. They ordered me a new wheel but when it arrived, they recommended that I bring it to a nearby tire shop to have it mounted and balanced. When I paid the bill, there was a labor charge of $175 which I questioned because they basically just confirmed what the tire shop did for free and ordered a part. I think $175 is an exorbitant amount to charge for what they did.

Avoid this place; go to Inland Diesel Repair much better all around. This place wanted to charge me 4x the amount of money that Inland charged me to do the EXACT SAME JOBS. I took the "Quote" to Inland and they did it 1/4 of the price. They also include numerous false charges on my invoice which I was never told of when I went to get the vehicle. One of the guys at the counter attempted to correct what he could but the issue still was not fixed. I was told to contact the service manager and explain to him what happened. I called the service manager and he advised that he would correct another $100. I never saw that $100 at all.Prices here are extreme. There were false charges and issue on my quote.Problem was never corrected.

Great service. Our RV broke down. Their mechanic diagnosed problem very quickly. Ordered parts overnight next day we were back on road. Very professional service. We were impressed with how quickly they were able to help us.

NOTE: This review is for Eddie's Truck Center in Rapid City, SD. I have no idea why it says "Floyd's Truck Center" above. While traveling west on I-90 in our RV we began to feel a vibration that became very strong. Initially I thought maybe a wheel weight came off. Then the vibration became even stronger. I thought perhaps a tire was coming apart. We pulled onto the shoulder and checked -- everything looked good, but it was still making a very loud noise, even at low speeds on the shoulder. We called for a service truck and the tech did a very thorough inspection -- crawling under the RV, jacking up the passenger side of the axle to turn the tires/axle/driveshaft by hand. The noise was coming from the rear end but he could not determine the source. We were towed to Eddie's and spent the night in their lot. The next day was Friday. One of their two Sprinter techs was on jury duty and they had vehicles ahead of us. It was looking like we would be there over the weekend. Then the tech who was on jury duty showed up, and they were nice enough to allow him to have a look at our RV (a View) in the parking lot. At first he was stumped as well. Then he happened to look between the duals and saw that the inner wheel on the driver's side was *broken*!I've never heard of a wheel breaking and neither had he. That was actually good news. We were thinking we might need a whole new rear end, or the diff rebuilt.Eddie's did not charge us for the tech's time, and parking overnight -- with electric -- was free. You really can't ask for more than that.

They were able to get me right in for a bad wheel seal on a day that all other shops were packed with frozen trucks.

We had a problem with our coach. Floyds was able to get us in the very next morning. They were able to diagnose and fix the problem in just a few hours. Highly recommend.

After the hubby accidentally put unleaded into our diesel Mercedes van, our tow driver recommended Floyd's for the repair. We camped in the parking lot Friday night and as soon as Floyd's opened on Saturday, we begged for assistance as we needed to get back home to Arizona. At first we were told they could work on it on Monday, but then the guys rearranged things so they could fix the van and get us on the road that day, which was a HUGE relief! The repair cost half as much as what I had been dreading, so that was good news too.HUGE shout-out to Ed, who made it his personal mission to get us back on the road, Nate who did a lot of the repair work and Justin who kept us updated and entertained. We spent about nine hours in the lounge, which was very comfortable and clean. Thank you so much for going out of your way! Our van got us home safely and with no problems whatsoever.

Is very hard to find someone knowledgeable when you have a Sprinter. They fix my van awesomely! But I spent there 4 days and 3 night just waiting for my converted van to be done, I was never offered the courtesy car even though they knew I had to sleep in my van and I couldn t move it. It was a hell of a weekend. Also, I know sprinters are expensive fixes, but they charged me 500$ over the estimate, on top of their really expensive prices. Other than that, my van was beautifully done.

I was 1,300 miles from home in my class A RV when I had an issue with my RV overheating. Although they were busy, they told me they would make a diagnosis the same day, so that I could make a decison to either fly home, or wait on repairs. Within 3 hours they had diagnosed the issue and repairs were made. Where can you can your car worked on much less an RV in 3 hours! Everyone was super nice, and went above and beyond! So much so....we left them with a bit of a rare KY bourbon ( Woodford Reserve Double Double Oak). I hope they enjoy a sip at the end of they day, I just wish I had bigger bottle as a reward for such efficient and kind service

Check over their work carefully. Hit and miss service, and the misses are bad. The nearest shop isn t always your best choice! They left loose bolts on my driveline, bell housing, and rear end input shaft. My new transmission had to be replaced under workmanship warranty 8,000 miles after being put in because loose bolts caused a shaft seal to fail and I lost all of my transmission oil.I also had them put a new vibration damper on while it was in for the trans job, and the Cummins book says to replace the crankshaft position sensor at the time of vibration damper replacement. I never checked, the paperwork says they replaced it and they charged me a line item for the sensor. I just scraped off the oil and found the original one (giving me a code) with original red paint on it. They never touched it, but they charged me.

These guys deserve 0 stars/respect for lying! took my truck on Friday 5pm for a diagnostic was told that nobody that does it works on weekends on that crucial part of the interstate, me being loaded with food, they told me that they will check it on Monday I called on Monday around 1pm was told that truck will be checked by end of the day nothing was done to it on Monday, I was feed tomorrow's, called Tuesday morning was told that truck was brought in, then 5hours later I received a call that they couldn't find the key from the truck after being said that they took it in... I wouldn't trust them for any job after that... what can I say they treat you this way cause they know you don't have another option.

We had an oil pressure warning light, buzzer, and fluctuating gauge issue on our Class A Freight liner motor home while on vacation 1600 miles from home. Called Floyd s on Monday, was scheduled for a appointment the following Friday. FYI, this is a busy truck center, however, Floyd s was able to work us in. The service department communicated with us during the repair which consisted of replacing the faulty oil pressure sensor and related components. Overall, we had a good experience. Also, they have a comfortable truckers lounge with fast WiFi available while you wait!

I m so impressed with these people! They treated me like family, made sure I had electricity when I arrived the night before my appointment, took my vehicle for service first thing, then made sure my dog and I were comfortable in their spotless service waiting lounge. I was back on the road by 10:30 AM. This experience has raised the bar for me! I hope you get to experience true professionalism.

My Sprinter van entered Rapid City in limp mode with the check-engine light on - over 1,000 miles from home. They were very busy with a backlog of vehicles waiting to be repaired, and mine was added to the list. Having owned a Sprinter for over 10 years, I've learned how important it is to find competent service. These people know what they're doing. It was well worth the little inconvenience of waiting.

Had a problem with my new Freightliner and stopped at Floyd's Truck Center in Rapid City. The problem was quickly found and the parts were ordered. When the parts arrived the repairs were started immediately and truck was done sooner than expected. Dan kept me informed and treated me like one of the locals. I highly recommend this repair facility. Thank you for the great service.

If every business treated its customers like Floyd's the world would be a better place. From Justin at the front desk, Tanya the warranty manager, to Jason who fixed my rig and EVERYONE else I encountered acknowledged me by smiling and saying hello as they walked by or even stopped to pet my dog. Was my 1st time into Floyd's and now will be the only place I go for service on my Sprinter.

Never have we had the privilege of dealing with a business with as low a standard of ethics as this company. We took our sprinter to Eddie's to have the rear heater blower repaired. Over $1000 later they call and tell my wife they need to replace a battery because the van has to be jumped. (this is common in the spring as we do not drive the van in the winter). Upon picking up the van they charged us an additional $400 to replace the easy to get at battery under the hood. The battery under the hood is no harder to change than any other under the hood battery. To top things off our radio (which worked fine before we dropped the van off) no longer worked. I took the van back right away and they "looked at it" and came back with not there problem the radio must be bad because they said there was power to it. I was able to get it in to an audio shop who was able to diagnose no power to the radio due to a blow fuse likely caused during the surging of jumping the vehicle at Eddie's. In trying to discuss the matter with Eddie's basically got a big "Your out of luck. Over all charge to replace a$72 part for the heater and a battery was $1698.00. My recommendation is if at all possible do not give them the opportunity to treat you the same way.

We were having loss of power on our diesel pusher RV and they were able to get us in within a day to diagnose the problem. They had to order parts so offered to let us boondock in their lot overnight. Lot has 30 amp hookup so that was great. While doing the needed repairs, they spotted another potential problem and we had them fix that as well. Customer service guys were great to deal with. My husband is a light vehicle mechanic and felt they knew their stuff. Nice driver lounge and pet friendly.

I got a chance to visit a lot of Freightliner dealership in my last 5 years of trucking business in all over US. After meeting with a lady and a guy serving as a front desk customer support, realised that they might not like their jobs or they are doing it because they had to without other choices, extremely disinterested to talk to customer, super lethargic and rude.Suggestion from a loyal customer of Freightliner brand- Please enjoy your work when dealing with customers , at the end of day its all about customer service, and satisfaction which was completely absent in this case. Technical team was good, knowledgeable and responded well.

My Sprinter was running poorly while on a trip to the West Coast from Wisconsin. Spoke with Brian in Service Dept and he came up with a few possible causes. I did get to the dealership and on a Friday night, while fully booked, Matt the mechanic repaired my truck in a timely manner. They even had me test drive the truck before I left to be sure the truck was running great! The repair bill was quite reasonable and I was overjoyed to be back on the road again. I highly recommend this dealership. They came through for me when I really needed help on the road. I fully trust them.

This place had one mechanic qualified to work on Sprinters - even though it is a Freightliner Sprinter dealership. The mechanic was busy with other jobs, so it took 2 weeks to repair my ac compressor and belts. They also replaced 2 tail lights. When I finally was able to pick up my van, I discovered immediately that the tail lights were not working and brought it back within 15 minutes. The clerk at the desk (Mark), insisted that the taillights must have both broken in the 15 minutes I had the van back. This guy is entirely devoid of any social skills and is the rudest person I ve ever met. Eventually I just left rather than wait another 3 days for them to get another part and then install it. If you do break down in SD and have to come to Floyd s, make sure you ask for Danny, who is a nice guy at least, and don t deal with the other little twerp.
