Me and my fianc� were looking for a 2024 grand highlander. We went to 3 dealerships in north Dakota and they all couldn't get us what we wanted. Or when they did they sold it even though we had a reserve. I called Kris B at 8 am. He said the vehicle was there and waiting. We drove 4 hours knowing we were already approved. We were in and back on the road in 2 hours including him personally going and making sure every detail of the car was perfect and personally filled our gas tank.

Had to leave a good word for Denny Menholt Toyota. I was driving my Scion FRS across the country and my clutch went out in Rapid City. Eric in service took great care of me and got my car looked at right away and was very clear with communication and helped me get back on the road in a timely fashion. I felt the cost was very reasonable and they exceeded my expectations for time frame. Thank you very much for taking care of me and getting me back on the road!

I have mixed reviews here..We were driving thru and saw on a window of a car 0% financing and $10k off on a left over 2023 model. It was a deal we couldn't pass up. As we got a few hours in and financing was approved we found out the dealership made a mistake and it was 0% financing OR $10,000 off. As we are trying to not run out credit much so we can refi our house later this year it really made me mad that no one at the dealership for the four + hours prior caught this before running our credit. We ended up leaving and in the end they did give us $5k off and 0% financing. So we took the deal it since we were kinda stuck since we did not want to run out credit again. It wasn't untill afterwards we found out this is the ONLY Toyota on the market that lost $25k of its value before even driving off the lot and Toyota can't get rid of these cars. Toyota dropped the ball on this car in several areas I found out once talking with owners of the car and owning it 1 day. The next day this dealership was closed and I Called Toyota about their grace period. Toyota said it was up to the dealership. I called the dealership the next day it was opened and they said once signed were stuck with the car unless I wanted to trade it in (with a $25k+ loss I assume) so now we're stuck with the car. Luckily my gf loves the car it's self dispite it's flaws. The $10k off would have made me feel more comfortable buying this car and I definitely would have passed on the $5k deal we agreed on if they had not run my credit already. But it is what it is. I've bought Toyota products several times in the past and this is the first dealership that did not have a grace period or a return policy. Which was disappointing, however.......I had some very good experiences with a few of the sales people and everyone during the sales process did seem very low pressure. If the whole discount thing and credit wasn't run. This would have been an easy 5 star review for me. I liked our sales guy and almost everyone I had experiences with was excellent .I'll update this review as I have dealing with the service department in the future.

Great experience at this Toyota. We had a brake issue travelling thru Rapid City heading west and needed it addressed asap. They got us in, fixed the issue, and had us back on the road a couple hours later. Much appreciated!

We were moving back to Minnesota from Montana in a 2006 Toyota Highlander. It was just me and my son and it had already been a stressful move. We were stopping in Rapid City for the night and by the time we got there our check engine light came on. I called Denny Menholt because it was a Toyota dealership. I expected the usual wait and anticipated being stuck there for another day or more. When I called I talked to Michelle (I think that was her name) and she said bring it right in. We pulled in with our loaded down car and cat. Michelle was great. She was friendly and a no nonsense attitude which is what I needed. Long story short. She check the codes, told us we would be able to make it home with out breaking down. I asked her if she would look at my coolant to make sure it had enough. She said it did but they would add some anyway. The tech who filled was friendly and had a smile on his face (Chase?) When I asked how much she said there was no charge. I thought it was going to be another expensive trip to the shop. She could have billed us for any of this and I would have expected it. I almost cried. Then the gentleman who helped us into the shop asked if he could fill our tires (Yes please!) and he even gave us a cap for the stem valve that was missing on one of our tires. I seriously almost cried. This was one of the best experiences I have every had in a shop. Not just because I didn't have a bill, but because their customer service was excellent. I genuinely felt that cared about us and were happy to help us. Thank you so much!

I recently purchased a Toyota Corolla cross hybrid 2023 and I had some questions regarding it particularly about the cruise control and I thought there might be an issue.When I brought it to Eric at the service center he was super helpful checked it for codes did a test drive and showed me how to have it function properly.Because I didn't buy the vehicle from this particular Toyota I didn't know what to expect. I thought I might get second rate service instead I was treated like a first-rate customer and so I really appreciate Eric and the service team. I also had a pleasant conversation with Tyler.

Do not bring your Jeep to Denny Menholt Toyota- even if you bought it from them.My car left the service garage in worse shape than it was when I brought it in for a diagnosis on my air suspension- and now is all but drivable. They couldn t figure out how to raise or lower the vehicle and the techs let all the air out of my shocks. Now I can t hit a bump without shaking the fillings out of my teeth or scraping the bottom of my car on the road. Disappointment is an understatementEric at the service department was apathetic at best and condescending at worst as I tried to explain my cars issues and left me with the impression that the service apartment is out of touch with their customers and needs more accountability.I paid for the drivetrain coverage which covers an issue my car has with its 4WD system but they said they couldn t fix the motor on my transfer case so now I have to find someone who can fix it on top of everything else.If I don t hear back from Denny Menholt I will be sharing my experience with anyone who is looking to buy a vehicle or needs theirs to be serviced. Here s to hoping they can make things right.

Great experience!! No old school pressure from sales personnel (our guy was Phil) to purchase vehicle. We knew what we wanted and Phil understood that. Phil was patient and listened to what we desired in our Tacoma. The whole transition took less than two hours.

Michelle is awful to work with. She s the manager of the service department and has given misinformation regarding the diagnosis of my vehicle (when I went there with the correct diagnosis given by a trusted mechanic who just couldn t get the part to fix it from the get go) and misinformation regarding the financing I had to do, due to the repair being $4000. She claimed that she would have a sales person get ahold of us to discuss options of trading, and that never happened, and when I called back to discuss the financing options to fix the problem vs trading since I never heard back after an entire week she was extremely rude and tried to blame everyone else. She s making her staff deal with a mess they shouldn t have to because she can t do her job. It s really sad to see Toyotas service department go so very down hill. Consider new management please. We ve been treated absolutely awful from the start, and it has made an already stressful situation way more stressful. I will add though that John Scales really did his best to try and make it a better experience and we re thankful for that. His customer service skills are excellent.

This place sucks. Charged me $130 to tell me what was wrong with my jeep, I took it somewhere else for a second opinion and they said there s absolutely nothing wrong with it. We will absolutely never come back to manholts again. You can t run a business on lies.

Extremely unimpressed!! I reached out to Toyota looking to trade my 2015 4Runner with the hopes of getting into something a little newer. I contacted them with 3 4runner in particular to look at ranging from year 2021-2022. From the very beginning of my experience I should have known to stop and look other places. I was pushed into looking at a 2023 through email, which was well over my budget and I knew this, when I stopped in to look at the 3 I had initially contacted them to look at, I was never shown any 2021 or 2022 but again pushed at the 2023 which was even more over budget giving they were very low on my trade in. I did end up putting down the $500 to hold said 2023 4Runner even though I was feeling uneasily about it. After talking with my credit unions I bank with I was made aware that the trade they offered me was way under what I should accept, I decided against trading off and decided to wait 6 months. After explaining I didn t have any money to put down or a co-signer I thought I had gotten the point across that I would not be purchasing the 2023. My $500 deposit was still withdrawn from my account. After being pushed at the 2023 I m not even sure I want to get service s done on my current 4runner there anymore and when the times comes to look for a newer 4runner I definitely won t be contacting them! Extremely unhappy, could have been future, customer!

Service Department - Worst Customer Service ever!!! Scheduled an appointment to purchase, install and align four new tires. I was told if I got there at 0730 there wouldn't be much of a wait. Got there before they opened and was the first in line. After three hours I looked for my vehicle, it was still on the rack. Spoke with the Service Manager, he went out on the floor to find that they were waiting for the alignment rack (apparently, they only have one, but if I was first in line why did I have to wait)? Service Manager never apologized for the wait, just went about his business. An hour later I again went to look for my vehicle, which I could not find. Went to the front desk and the girl was looking at photos on her phone? Asked where my vehicle was, and her comment was "oh he did just bring that up" and the paperwork was in the rack. But when she went to give me my keys, they were three deep? Exactly four hours later I was leaving the dealership! WOW Terrible Service!!

I have been a loyal customer with Toyota for years. I bought my car from them, have brought it to them for every oil change...never once had an issue until yesterday.I took my car in March 15, 2022, for an oil change, coolent flush, and spark plug change. I did not have cracks or chips in my windshield when I dropped it off. When I picked up my car, there were massive cracks in the middle of the windshield and the bottom corner of the driver side. I attempted to speak with the service manager who insisted there is no way they caused the damage. When I asked him to explain how that could have happened then, his response was that he didn't know. I attempted to speak with him again today and he continued insisting they couldn't possibly have caused that damage with the work they did. Very frustrating to be given my car back in this condition with a refusal to accept responsibility and make it right.

We ended up not purchasing a vehicle, but this review is for Cory Fisher. He is absolutely amazing! We had gone through 3 other dealerships looking for a vehicle and he was the first one to treat us with so much respect. He isn t pushy and is completely transparent through the process. We can t recommend him enough.

We came here with having issues with our brakes on our 2011 Toyota Tundra. We ve been driving across the country pulling our RV, so safety is a top priority for us, but we also have a schedule that we need to stay on. We called service in the morning, explained our situation, and Eric got us in the same day and had the truck ready before 2pm! The problem was correctly diagnosed and fixed in an expedited manner, and for a lot less then what we thought. We highly recommend the service department at Denny Menholt Toyota!

We were sold a service contract when we purchased our vehicle. Now when we try to get an oil change on it, they tell us the soonest they can do it is over three weeks out. Are you kidding me!You need less sales people and more service people.

They were great! Fit me in within a few days for replacing a blown up power steering rack. They even had one rebuilt in stock for my old truck, and the work was done professionally completely fixed.
