On the way back to school after spring break, my daughters car developed a miss. I'm 9 hrs away. I read repair shop ratings online. Bob's was rated highly. So I called. I was told they were booked up, but if she could leave her car, they would try & get it in. In 2 days they called me with what was wrong & a estimate. In 3 days my daughters car was running good. I recommend Bob's Auto Service to any college parent, just trying to find a reliable place to keep their childs car running.

They were great. They were able to get my drain plug out when nobody else could and saved me from having to get a whole new pan! The price was fair too. Thanks again guys!

I was on an extended road trip when I noticed that it was time for an oil change and to rotate my tires. My husband always believed that an oil change at the right time could extend the life of your vehicle. So I always followed his thinking. So not knowing anybody to ask I went on line to check reviews saw Bob's Auto Service there reviews were pretty good so tried to call, the line was busy forever so decided to drive over yes they we're that busy but made an appointment for the day after. Well took car in and asked if they could do a once over since the car had been on the road for a while. Could they check fluids, belts, and things under the hood they were also going to rotate the tires.Well sure enough they found a problem the front seal was seeping this could have turned into a major problem and I never would have found it on my own.If it wasn't for those guys doing such a good job I could have been driving anywhere and run into seriousissues by myself. So all the reviews were true. They sure did right by me

The guys at Bob's did an awesome job on my car. After finding and fixing my steering and suspension issues, the car drives like new! Services are higher quality and more competitive than other shops in the area and around time was quick. I bought a used car that needed some attention. They fixed the few things that I called about, and looked the car over and pointed out a couple of things that would need attention in the future. The absolute best part was there was no high pressure sales tactics to force me to spend more than my budget allowed. I will be taking all of my cars to Bob s from now on.

We've taken our Mazda to Bob's Auto for everything we've needed since moving to Rapid City, and we're always happy with their work! The staff is always so nice and friendly, and the prices are definitely reasonable.

The staff here are perhaps the friendliest of any shop I've been to, and they're very helpful and happy to advise. Bob's Auto is my favorite shop in Rapid.

Bobs auto is a great location to bring your vehicle for an honest diagnosis and a quality repair. They have honest pricing and they will do what is right to get the repair correctly taken care of. They keep the customer informed and are a great asset to this community. Bob's Auto was able to get our vehicle in at a minutes notice when we had trouble with the vehicle starting during a cold snap. It was a bad battery issue (which we assumed) and Bobs also made sure there wasn't any other issues going on with the vehicle that pulled power from the previous battery which was still under warranty and which we had installed elsewhere a year ago. We had a great experience with Bob's Auto repair and relied on google reviews to point us to a reputable auto place since we are new to the area.Service: Battery

While driving across the country, my engine light began flashing. Tucker was extremely kind to talk to and gave me frequent updates. He was able to look at my car and fix the issue within the day. I m so thankful to be back on the road!!Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

On vacation: Our car was making a sound that only stopped when we hit the brakes, I looked up the nearest place and that led us to Bob s... the mechanic told us he was backed up for the whole day but ran out to our car and assessed, listened as my husband drove slowly, quickly determining front driver wheel s nuts were loose!!! Grateful for a quick fix, that we are all safe, that he made a moment for us, and was so friendly even as we interrupted a busy day!

Bob s is awesome! We had car trouble passing through Rapid City on vacation. They got us in right away, fixed the problem and got us back on the road in no time. Highly recommend!

I have been taking vehicles to Bobs Auto for 5 years now and I have received nothing but the best services and experiences from them. This is the most honest and upfront auto repair shop in Rapid City. The guys are full of knowledge and do everything they can to make sure your vehicle is fixed properly and ready to go for the road. My wife and I have enjoyed taking our vehicles to Bob's Auto Service for close to 20 years. They have integrity and a willingness to do their best. They are courteous, friendly, and helpful. They have proven themselves to be fair and to get the job done right. We certainly recommend this repair shop when someone needs mechanical work done on a their vehicles.

Most honest and quality service in town. I had 3 or 4 things wrong with my truck and these guys checked and let me know it was covered under powertrain warranty. Ended up getting it fixed for free through dealer. I've been to them 2 or 3 times and was always satisfied with the speed, quality, and price. Highly recommended.

Bobs auto is the only place to go! Very friendly and fast. But most importantly their honest! They ve always been quick to find a solution to our problems. They also call me and tell me a price and explain what cost what to that. I m never left unsure of what s going on or how much it will cost! This is the best place in Rapid City hands down. If I could give more then 5 stars I would :)

Bob's auto service was the best auto service ever. I trusted them they did great work on my car. They are my go to auto shop in town. I've been to some places that you could just tell they were ripping you off but not here. They had very trustable vibes.

2023/01/21 - Whenever I take one of my vehicles to Bob's I make sure I tell them what I am concerned about. When I come to pick up my vehicle, THAT is taken care of AND they found some other thing that needing doing. Of course, those other things aren't major - that would require a call to authrize service and additional charges. But dealing with those little things is wonderful to me. I've been a customer for some years and I have never left disappointed or unhappy. THAT is the picky, they are picky about making sure folks feel taken care of. Even IF you have a big bill to pay.2018 - The technician was very personable and helpful. He even came up with a work around to keep me rolling till my my appointment.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

Bob's works on all our vehicles. We've had GMCs, Hondas, a Mazda, a Pontiac, a Kia, and a Hummer in for service, and we are always super happy and satisfied with all work done. Great shop, no BS, highly recommend.

Stopped into Bob's Auto travelling from Minnesota to Montana! My brake lights came on and I didn't want to keep driving further without getting them looked at. Caleb took a look at my brakes, ran the codes for the light and determined there wasn't a problem. He could have run the gamut and tried to charge me for a bunch of things I didn't need, but knew I was in a hurry and took care of me!If I'm ever stuck in Rapid City again I'll definitely be coming back to Bob's.

The team at Bob's Auto Service has always given me an estimate that was been fair. I never felt like they are trying to stick it to me. When they find a problem or potential problem, they give me a call, we discuss, and they take it from there. Fair, reliable, and timely; that is how I describe Bob's Auto Service. I like going to Bob's because they are honest, extremely helpful and probably most important they are a local small business. They stand behind AND in front of their work. See you again guys!

I found them to be knowledgeable and friendly. All repairs were professionally completed as agreed. It is refreshing to go there and have repairs done right and at reasonable pricing. We will think of them first when we need further repairs or maintenance and will not hesitate to highly recommend them to all our friends, neighbors and relatives!Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance

I drive a 2013 Ford Escape that recently had repairs done at McKie Ford. When I got my vehicle back from Ford I had noticed some terrible idling issues that had never happened prior to the repairs (vehicle sounded like it was at death s door while idle). After a couple trips back to Ford and a we checked everything, your vehicle is fine even though it sounded worse after each visit, I was referred to Bruce at Bob s Auto.Bruce listened to my concerns and him and the staff found the problem right away. My vehicle now idles and runs like it s supposed to. Bruce and the staff are what you are supposed to get when you take your vehicle to a mechanic, integrity.

These guys are so awesome!! I am traveling home from minnesota to colorado and my check engine light came on. They checked my car over for free and advised me the best options. Made me feel comfortable and were very polite! Thanks guys!!! On the road again.

Took PT Cruiser in to check Injector status, no One Cylinder was fouling out. The mechanic found the wiring harness was bad. Replaced the harness and four new plugs later, We have had no problem with the PT Cruiser.Steve, Bruce, Austin and rest of the mechanics take excellent care of our vehicles.Dennis, Carla FlemingRapid City SD

I love this place. I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 that needs work and they are willing to help me out and get it on tge road without breaking the bank. I dont make much money and Dodge is expensive but with their help I'm going to be driving a dream vehicle soon.

Was in town for the Sturgis rally and had problems with my pickup truck . Called them in the morning and they squeezed the repair in and got it done by 12:30 . Iam truly impressed by the friendly staff and professional repair . They Did Not Over Charge Me . Thumbs up guys ,very impressed.
