My USAF son was moving from Anchorage to Abilene and was pulling a 47 year old trailer I built when I was 17. In a SD construction zone it bent a spindle. We made it into town, but knew it would not make it to Texas. Looking online we found a trailer that was big enough to put the old trailer on along with other items. My son was happy with the price as it was a 2017 model. The quality is much better than any big box stores. It was made with rectangular tubing instead of pipe or angle iron. We made it home to Texas safely and my son said several times that it pulled much better and backed better than the old trailer. Blake's has a nice dog, but you need to keep your dogs in your car. We had two dogs with us that slept in our running car with the AC on. The paperwork was done fast in less than 10 minutes. Everyone was very nice at Blake's. We will never see them again, but if you are in the area and need a trailer or repair give them a call.

I recently had trailer troubles on a cross country trip. I discover the trouble in North Platte Nebraska. No one in town would help me for weeks. So I called around to next major town I was headed too. First call was to Blakes. They informed that they were very busy but if I could make the 5 hour drive thru would help me.I got there and I had done more damage to bearings and brake upon arrival. They fixed me up on all 6 axels. Highly recommend them for your next repair or service. I would have paid an arm and a leg for the repairs no questions asked.Yet the price was very fair.

Took us in with only 2 hours left in their work week before the Labor Day weekend. We were traveling home from Alaska when we broke an axel. We limped in and luckily they had one to replace the broken one. Thank you Kyle, you do your business proud

Great service! I ordered a trailer through them from the manufacturer and they kept me up to date on the arrival of the trailer. They were also very understanding of my needs to be flexible for pick up!

Thank Goodness for Blake s!! My family and I were stranded while on a road trip across the country. We had an issue with the axle on our 30 camper. Although Blake s was very busy, they assured us that they would diagnose the problem and get us taken care of (they were the only service willing to help). Shiloh was extremely helpful and empathetic of our stressful situation. We dropped the camper off (the guys even helped unhook it from the truck) and drove around town, had lunch, and they called and said they had the camper ready to go. The guys were very knowledgeable and great at their jobs! Blake s was truly a blessing. We are from NC and unfamiliar with the area. We were happy to experience a little slice of home when they smiled and chatted with us. Definitely recommend!!

Broke a leaf spring on my 35' 5th Wheel RV in the Bad Lands, was able to limp into Rapid Springs. Blake's got me in without an appointment and replaced all four springs with upgraded heavy-duty springs with 6 leafs ea. The staff was vary knowledgeable, professional and fast. The price for parts and labor was, in my opinion, more than fair. Great Customer service!David,San Antonio, TX

Excellent service preformed promptly at reasonable rates. Helpful staff, knowledgeable mechanics who get the job done right the first time. Purchased a few trailers in the past decade, always offered a fair price - even traded in a used trailer toward the purchase of a new enclosed car carrier.

Needed our trailer rewired and picked it up and drove it 45 minutes to home and then realized they installed a light upside down. Back to town and the man actually looked at it and asked us what was wrong with it. After we told him, he fixed it. No apology for the wasted time and gas. We will not be back.

Brother in law had a broken hanger bracket on their travel trailer. Made a 2PM appointment to have welded. Arrived at 11:30 AM and they started right away to make the repair. At 12:15 PM they called and said they were done. Cost was only half of what was expected. They also took the time to check the others. Very professional. THANKS AGAIN.

Kyle and his crew do a great job! The service department is very capable and they have a great selection of new trailers too. Used selection availability varies but pricing is fair. If they don't have it, they can get it for you! Cheers!!

We were waiting for them Monday AM after a 57 mile tow on I90. Wheel bearings plus started sparking...good samaritan stopped us on freeway and we had fire extinguisher on hand that prevented our trailer from going up in flames. Jay and Derrick took us right in. Repaired/replaced all damaged parts and had us back on the road by noon. Very professional, courteous and reasonable. Going back next year for our annual wheel bearing maintenance. THANK YOU!

Blake's Trailer Sales & Repair are awesome! As an active duty service member traveling from lower Alabama to Alaska on a military move, I was fortunate enough to have an unfortunate incident with my trailer as I arrived in Rapid City, SD. Checking in with Kyle and Jay, they confirmed my suspicions of a "too short" axle, causing rubbing on the tires in the fender well. Jay immediately began troubleshooting and proposing fixes (and respective costs). In the end Jay's team recommended a full proof fix that was cost effective, and would get me back on the road later in the afternoon. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the efficient and effective work that these men did...I successfully navigated the ALCAN with zero issues from my trailer. Without their quick thinking and quality work, I could be stuck in the middle of Yukon Territory with a bum trailer and no help for hundreds of miles. Kyle, and Jay your team is great, thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

I was in town on my way to Yellowstone National Park with my family when I noticed my wheel bearing had gone bad on my camper trailer tire and it was leaking grease bad. I was referred to Blake's Trailer Sales and talked to Jay and told him my situation. He was able to fit me in the same day and do the extensive repair all in one day so we didn't miss out on the rest of our family vacation. The entire staff went the extra mile for us and we are soooo grateful. We successfully traveled to Yellowstone, Grand Teton's and back home to Indiana without any issues. It was the vacation of a lifetime and none of it would have been possible if not for Jay and the entire team and Blakes Trailer Sales and Repair. We can not thank you enough!

Don't go here to get your trailer serviced. First off, their tech treated my wife with complete disrespect that bordered on misogynistic. I doubt they would have treated me that way. That is beside the main point, which is as follows. We took our trailer there at the beginning of Summer 2016 to get serviced. We had just bought the trailer and boat used from a private seller and we wanted to get it all checked out. We had used it a few times and noticed that it seemed extremely jerky on starting and stopping. We mentioned this to the tech and they told us "that's just how they are". It was still like that when we picked it up. After picking it up, we noticed that the fenders seemed to rub on the tires. We went to adjust the fenders and then my wife noticed something. She said, "should this line be hooked up to something?" After inspecting, it was the brake line!!! It was completely disconnected!!! We took pictures, contacted Blake's, and they refused to believe that they didn't catch this. We sure as heck didn't disconnect it.Furthermore, we know it wasn't connected before because we were using a 4-pin harness from our car to connect to the 5-pin harness on the trailer. We had never owned a surge-brake system before so we didn't know the difference. After researching, we found that the 5th pin is meant to disengage the surge brake when reversing. Since our brakes weren't hooked up, we could gladly reverse w/o issue. So we hooked up the brake line ourselves, purged the system, and filled with hydraulic fluid. Sure enough, jerking problems went away and we had to convert to a 5-pin system to reverse (you can just flip the harness...but this is more convenient in the long term).I contacted Blake's a few times and asked about a partial refund. The wanted me to bring it in so that they could do the brake line themselves. Why would I want that? I already did it, after I already paid them to do it!! I am not going to take time out of my day to go give my trailer back to an incompetent tech. I contacted them again to give them a chance before I posted this and I got no response.Don't go there. If they can't even check the brake line then why even bother?***Update*** I was the third person to post a review. The first review happened five years ago and the second was over a month ago. Suddenly, after my bad review they get an explosion of good reviews all at the same time. Sheesh, try being a little less obvious...

Bought a horse trailer long (16k GVWR) in March long distance. Over the phone I asked if anything was not working and was told that they had completely serviced it and everything was working. I made the drive 700 miles to pick up the trailer. When we hitched up the trailer and went to drive it off, the truck informed me of an electrical issue. So after a couple of tests, I realized I had no trailer brakes. The technician told us if we take it slow driving home that we should be able to make it fine. I was definitely not okay with that answer. For one thing that is actually illegal to drive that large of a trailer without trailer brakes. For another, why pay somebody else to do it when it had been completely serviced here? The tech resolved the issue. Then I pointed out something didn't look right about one of the tires, to which he replied that's the way it came, so we drove it home.On our way home, the propane completely leaked out of the canister - didn't know why yet, so we spent one very frigid night in the trailer.Issues we've found since then:* The propane regulator was faulty, so it completely emptied a completely full tank in just a few hours. So we had to pay to have that replaced. The place that replaced it for me said it looked very old.* On our very first trip with 2 horses (4 horse trailer), both right tires blew. So we spent 6 hours on the freeway, and had to spend $1k to replace all 4 tires. I saved one of the tires to replace the existing spare tire. Big O Tires picked the best one, but it still has a bubble, so they told me if I have to use the spare, don't travel far on it because it could go as well.* The least of the issues: the cap wasn't put in the hot water heater correctly, so when I went to use hot water for the first time, all the water just leaked right out.* One of the trailer batteries tested as bad while fully charged.* The mirror on the bathroom door was broken, so a new one was put over top of it without correcting the problem that broke the mirror in the first place, so now we have one broken mirror on top of another broken mirror.* The grey water outlet valve has a massive leak in it, so we never have to empty the grey water because it conveniently empties itself (fortunately it's not the black water).* The AC unit does not blow cold air.* There was mouse poop up by the bed.* The window by the table is bent so you have to use 2 hands to close it very carefully so as not to pinch your fingers, and the screen was partially out.* The outside light doesn't work.* The screen door is bent, the sliding cover doesn't work.* Several of the dropdown windows to the horse trailer section are very badly bent and need to be replaced ASAP.* The wheel well which was repaired was repaired very poorly, and did not stay (see picture).* The handle going into the trailer entrance is broken (see picture). So I was lied to, and I'm very frustrated as I'm looking at spending a couple thousand dollars to get this trailer to where they said it was to begin with.Edit after seeing the response from the owner:The reason I posted this after 4 months is because it's the first time we've had to use the AC unit, and when that didn't blow cold air, that was kinda the last straw. The response from the owner to this review is one of the worst pieces shirking responsibility BS I've read from a review and underscores even more why I would not do business with them in the future.

What a shady organization. Replacing parts on my trailer just to replace them, even though they were brand new when I brought it in. I guess I'll take all eight of my personal trailers plus the 30-some trailers my company owns somewhere else.Update: So why did you have to replace my 8 new bearings?

Bought a used 14 foot trailer, got it home and something didn't look right. Measured and it was only a 10 footer. They returned it but it cost me half a day and two 50 mile round trips. Said it was a misprint but the price was more than new for a 10 footer. Not even an apology!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! On my family fishing trip to northern Minnesota in 2011 my boat trailer had a catastrophic bearing failure in Wall SD. 50 miles away on Friday the 4th of July weekend at 3:30. After a few phone calls we found Blains and they were willing to stay late on a holiday weekend untill we could get the trailer to them. The flatbed tow truck got us there around 6:30 and they had us fixed and on our way in 30 minutes! GREAT GUYS! Thanks again, you saved our vacation! This is what friendly service is all about!

Looked at me like I was stupid when I said I needed a new connector put on my trailer. Then said they couldn't do it while it was raining. I offered to back my trailer into their shop and still no. Lazy, stupid people just sitting around on their phones. Worst service I've ever received at a trailer shop. Gladly took my business down the street.
