Hands down recommend Blake Paxton! He knew exactly what I wanted and found a way to come through with the most limited inventory out there to date! He answered questions after hours and made time for me never making me feel rushed :) We love our new vehicle and also felt like we got a completely fair trade value for the vehicle we traded! Wegner Auto came through BIG for us! I would definitely recommend Blake and his team to anyone in the market!

Our family was traveling across the country and our car broke down and the service department was amazing and accommodating- car was checked out and we were on our way back on the road within 24 hours. We needed a hotel and they even helped drive us and our dog to our hotel and helped us load and unload our belongings when going to the hotel and leaving it! So helpful since we have a baby so we had a lot of items to move. Wish we knew all their names because they d be mentioned. They are the nicest and wish we could give them more credit and praise!

Steer clear (pun intended, keep driving to the next dealer down the street). These people at Wegner Auto do not communicate well internally and do not know how to treat customers with respect.Late last Saturday I made a verbal commitment to purchase a vehicle that had been listed for some time on their website with a specific price, and the agreement was for the full price listed on the website. Since it was late and I needed to go to my bank to arrange a check for payment I offered to return Tuesday to complete the transaction. After waiting for hours Tuesday with no follow up, I called Blake one more time and he informs me the car is no longer for sale, with a weak explanation that they had not yet completed their paperwork for transmission repairs they made.I spoke to the sales manager Zac who suddenly decides the price is now 3000 dollars more than the deal Blake and I agreed to verbally. Zac asked me if I had signed a purchase agreement. I reminded him that verbal agreements are legally binding and that I think there are attorneys who would be interested. Didn t make a dent. All he cared to point out was the disclaimer on their website about errors and omissions and that I didn t have anything in writing. Completely threw his sales employee and me under the bus and showed zero respect for our verbal agreement.I m in sales too. We all make mistakes. First thing out of all their mouths should have been a massive apology. I would have accepted that they screwed up and worked with them on a reasonable compromise. All they had to do was admit the mistake and beg forgiveness. But this company wasn t interested in resolving. I ve heard from others how lazy and unprofessional this team is, now I guess I have experienced it firsthand. I made a couple of additional efforts to resolve this with them before writing this review. They do not seem to care to make this right.I recommend doing business elsewhere. I welcome Wegner Auto to make contact with me to resolve my dispute with their poor business practices and then I will consider editing my review.

I purchased a vehicle from Wegner not even a year ago and I should have listened to my gut and walked away instead. The first red flag was the fact that the vehicle had not only NOT been detailed as promised, it was disgusting. We came from out of town and were told it would be ready to go. It was not. Blake was our salesman and he seemed nice enough but pretty sure he lied to us about the history of the vehicle. He also pressured us by continuously stating that the price would be hiked up a few thousand dollars the following week if we didn't by it now. It was not worth the asking price let alone anything more, but he did not want to budge on the price. We finally decided to walk away and it was at that point he became a lot more willing to go down on the price. Another red flag. We reluctantly made the deal. We ended up having to have it detailed through another company and spent a few hundred dollars on a couple cosmetic fixes. Mechanically it seemed fine but we did recently trade it in as we just never really "loved" it. Never had that new car feel, probably because it was filthy. We also never received the paperwork to register it and had to call and track it down and we barely got it in time to avoid penalties. I've been skeptical to write a negative review for a while, as I have a hard time doing that to another company, but I really feel like I needed to tell others about our unprofessional experience so that they can make an informed decision. Especially after reading a few other reviews. I hope the owner will take a hard look at the negative reviews written and do something to change things around rather than ignore them. I would prefer to see them succeed by fixing things rather than accumulating a bad reputation that ruins their business. As for us, we can't recommend them nor will we purchase from them again.

Got to ride in a new jeep was very nice it was a loner, their prices seem reasonable. Lovely vehicles on their lot. I AM the Chevy girl ;), just so we're clear on that. All time fave. Never been inside looks like a great place of business.

We bought a 3 year old Van from this dealership. Blake was a very nice salesman. We re happy with the van, but can t believe how terrible the detail job was. We found crackers in the back seats, it needed a outside wash, we had to wipe down the whole inside. What dealership these days doesn t give a nice used vehicle a professional detail? And at the very least, they could ve at least washed the outside of the vehicle?Doubtful that I will go to this dealership again.

I want to commend the entire staff on an exceptional job well done! I had my car detailed and my oil changed. It may sound simple enough but they went out of their way to treat me as a valued customer and did the BEST detailing job I have ever had done. My car looked NEW! Thank you to the wonderful staff and to the management and owners for taking such pride in your work. I recommend you highly and will never go elsewhere.

Day one of our vacation from Michigan on our way to Yellowstone we stop for a fill up off I-90 West. Buick starts to run rough at the pump so I turn it off and then it won't start. Friendly guy at the gas station says it sounds like the fuel pump he suggests starting fluid. While attempting that the gas station attendant called the local service shop and puts me on the phone with him, he suggests going to Pierre. Called Wegner Auto Company and spoke with Branch, told him what's going on he says well if you can get it here we'll get it right in. We got it started and headed to Pierre, 40 minutes later we met Branch at the service dept. We asked if there was someplace close to eat he offered us a beautiful brand new Durango to use while they worked on our vehicle. The young lady at the counter was just as nice and attentive. When our vehicle was done Branch called to let us know our vehicle was done and we were in the middle of shopping he said take your time no worries. When turning the keys in and paying our bill it was just as pleasant of an experience, I felt like I had known these people for years. They also suggested some local trails and sites to see on our way thru, great people in South Dakota. Great experience at a car dealership when we weren't even buying a car and the repair was under $200. You guys are awesome.

Colby in service new exactly the issue I was having with my 2020 RAM DEF pump. I had 3 other auto shops/dealers look into the same DEF error code last year on this truck, he knew right away that my pump was crystalized and needed to be cleaned - NOT replaced like others were telling me. They got me in same day, they are a life saver. I highly recommend this company!

We were out traveling from sioux falls to Pierre when our engine light came onWe were traveling with our camper so we spent the night at the griffen campgrounds and next morning went to wegner auto to get diagnosis of the problem. They got us in right away. We were back on the road in less than 2 hrs. Kolby , the service manager was great. Thanks to all the people who helped get us back on the road without delay. Great place.

I chose Wegner Auto for my first big girl vehicle purchase after graduating from college and I would do it 100 times over with this company. They made the process so easy and helped me find a vehicle that they knew would fit me best. Each and every employee at Wegner s would do anything to make customers happy and I would recommend buying from this dealership if you want a great experience and a reliable vehicle. Their dedication and hard work that is put into making sure customers are happy with their purchase is outstanding. Other dealerships should take notes from these guys!

Ordered a fleet vehicle from them in the beginning of October and received a call from them in the end of November saying that our order was cancelled and the salesman told us that if we would like to order something else we could but the new guy would be handling that as he was quitting. Horrible customer service. Will never order a vehicle from them again.Update: on 1-27-2020 I received a call from the owner of Wegner Auto Brian. Brian called because he was concerned about my review. Brian did what he could to make it right and explain his side of the story. Sounds like it was just the result of a bad employee that is no longer employed by Wegner Auto.

I went into the dealership not having a clue about my options to get out of a past lease with a different dealer, and into a new vehicle before winter. The only things I knew were what I didn't want and had limited idea as to what type of vehicle I desired or needed.Blake Paxton, Salesman, was so personable, knowledgeable, and responsive. He helped walk me through every step of the process patiently.The entire team at Wegner's made me discover that buying a vehicle can be a truly fun process and I so appreciate their customer service and for making me feel at ease.Lisa Etzkorn, Business Manager, was respectful, experienced, and understanding, exploring many different avenues with me as I reached my decision on vehicle and until we collectively reached the best option in financing for me.I had an amazing experience, the inventory and options that one has at this dealership cannot be matched. This is the most amazing dealership and service center, ever! Was traveling and had a little accident.. ended up stranded 600 miles from home.... in a few hours they hooked me up and got me back on the road.. in a nice vehicle! Everyone there is so helpful and goes above and beyond for the customer! Thank you all, we are so grateful for your help Ed!!!!

We bought a car here today and had a great experience! Everyone was really helpful and knowledgeable. We had our kids with which could have ended poorly but they had stuff for them to play with and it went great. We will definitely be buying our next car from here!

Absolutely upset with the condition of my vehicle after I ve got it back from this company!!! I dropped my leased vehicle off to be sold with them they had it a total of two 1/2 months and allowed someone to drive it for pleasure!!! The car when I dropped it off was at 18957 on the odometer it s is well over the oil change I had paid for on top of that they put 2000 or better miles on MY LEASED vehicle!!! Trashed the front end to where my barings need to be replaced and THEY will be hearing from me to make this right!!! I paid 400 to have my vehicle detailed oil change and trusted them not to allow someone to trash my vehicle!!! The mistake is on ME and I want everyone to know I wouldn t trust them with your vehicles they can t respect an agreement made!!!!!!

Wegner Auto is the place we have purchased our vehicles from for years. They have a great selection of vehicles but they really stand out in their customer service. Each employee is friendly, helpful and goes above and beyond to meet our needs, whether it be purchasing a vehicle, having work done in the body shop or service dept. they provide top quality service! I can't say enough positive things about our experiences at Wegners.

To anyone reading this Review....Joshua, I saw your review and decided I needed to also post about this business.You can file complaints with the BBB(Better Business Bureau, FTC(Federal Trade Commission), UDAP which is the Unfair and Deceptive Practices Act and the UCC or Uniform Commercial Code Act. All of which I fully intend to do.I too had a bad experience with Wegner. I purchased a VW bug in May. I paid 1300 over book on it because the salesman wouldn't budge on the price (I WAS WARNED). Shame on me, I should have walked away then but lesson learned in many ways. I WAS WARNED by several people in this town to stay away from this dealership - so here is everyone's warning - STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!Take heed in the warning "BUYER BEWARE" - I will NEVER, EVER, purchase another vehicle from this business and will not ever recommend them to another person. Buy your vehicle somewhere else. If you have had a bad experience with this business, get it posted, social media can do alot.Two weeks after I got the vehicle, I had a coolant light come on, an EPC light come on and a check engine light come on. After doing some inquiry, I was told that Wegner was very aware of the engine issues that this vehicle had prior to my purchase and they were never disclosed to me. Long story short, I paid out $1200.00 in repairs 30 days after purchasing this vehicle, it still has several other issues that I will half to pay for repairs in order to keep this vehicle running while I make payments.This vehicle should have never been put on the lot. I attempted to contact the salesman that sold me the vehicle to discuss the repair bill and to get compensated for the expense. He has never returned my phone call - IMAGINE THAT! I was told by several people in this town not to even bother trying to talk to the owners (I WAS WARNED) that I would not get anywhere with them. That's too bad - apparently taking care of the Customer is not part of their goals.

Being a recent college graduate and transplant to Pierre, it was necessary for me to purchase a car on my own for the first time. On February 28th, 2014, I purchased a 2001 Saturn L300 with 87k miles for $4837 from Wegner. The following is a brief synopsis of the problems I have had not only with the car but the dealership and its questionable business ethics as a whole. I feel violated and angry that I was screwed over so thoroughly by Wegner.The car had a documented issue from the previous owner when Wegner acquired the car.The head gasket issue was identified by a mechanic at Beck Motors when the car was under the previous owner. I have a physical copy of the invoice that backs this up as a known issue .The problem was overlooked and not disclosed prior to the sale.It is the dealer s responsibility to inspect every car they sell for major issues like this and to deal with them appropriately before the car is sold. It is unacceptable to me that a dealer missed such a major issue- intentional or not, both reveal their intentions as unprofessional, greasy, and predatory, pushing lemons they haven t bothered to properly inspect on the population.The head gasket problem was not fixed as per an agreement reached by a manager, Don, and me when the problem was first dealt with in April.It was claimed by Wegner s Service Department after repairs had been completed that the head gasket was not the problem, but something else.Because of this improper diagnosis, the car s head gasket problem has recently resurfaced due to it not being properly dealt with in April.Repairs to this car to fix the known issue are worth more than the car itself, rendering an out-of-pocket payment by me financially unwise and impracticable.I am stuck making payments on a car that was already at death's door when I bought it, and currently only has salvage value.As a new resident to Pierre most of my time here has been filled with stress and anxiety over this situation.Also as a recent college grad and given my starting salary, my options here are limited by my financial capabilities. I will not risk purchasing another car from Wegner since this has been my experience so far.Therefore, because the Saturn was sold to me with a major known issue that was overlooked, and subsequent agreed upon repair work done by Wegner after I purchased it has failed to fix said issue, I expected Wegner to honor my request, which is that I receive a full refund of the purchase price of the car, to which I would reserve the right to spend at any dealership deserving of my business. This has proved unsuccessful and I ve taken it upon myself to share my downright rotten experience with Wegner so others won't experience this.

Wish I could comment on The auto buying at Wegner. After emailing and texting the the salesman what I was looking for he never call contacted me again. Guess they did not want to sell a vehicle too bad. Went to another dealership and within 5 hours had a pickup located and the deal was done. Not impressed

Prices were good, but don't let them try and rope you into a high-priced loan. Come prepared with an offer from another bank, or you'll pay half the value of the car just in fees and interest doing one through them.
