We blew a tire on our camper traveling East on Interstate 90. Called quite a few places looking to purchase a new tire to replace the blown one, as we still have a 6 hour journey home. Overweg answered the phone on a Saturday at 3pm when they were closed but still willing to help. By the time we arrived at their shop it was 5pm. They replaced 2 of our camper tires and we purchased 2 more to be mounted when we get home. The young man that helped us was very helpful and polite. Not one complaint about working on a Saturday late afternoon . He worked fast and efficiently. Very knowledgeable about tires and had us back on the road within 40 min! I am grateful for the amazing service provided and the calming vibe from Dan. I waited 3 hrs for another towing company that never showed up after charging me. I called Overweg, and Dan said he'd be at my location in minutes. True to his word, he had me unstuck and on my way in minutes. Very knowledgeable and skilled service. Highly recommend you call whenever in need of towing or recovery services.

We were traveling 2,100 miles across the country moving our family from Montana to Georgia this June. 5pm Sunday afternoon the tongue on my boat trailer sheared off just a mile East of Kimball. I called Dan and he showed up to rescue us about a half hour later. On top of that, he was able to have us back on the road by lunch time the next day. Great man and great company. I would definitely recommend if in the area.

We blew a tire out on the interstate and were able to donut over to them. They had our tires in stock where two other shops did not. Able to get us in and out in less than an hour onto the road for our trip. Thanks so much!!

If I could give these guys 10 stars, I would.� We were headed west on 90 and hit a rest stop to dump our tanks in our camper.� My husband noticed our one tire was worn down on the inside to the steel.� I checked the other side of the camper and sure enough the back tire on the passenger side was wearing the same.� It was not as bad as the other side, but still not good either.� These guys were the closest to us and had great reviews.� I gave them a call and asked if they had trailer tires in stock and she said they had 12 so come on down and park in the back then give them a call.� We got there 10 min before closing.� Hubby talked to the mechanics and they did some measurements.� Found out that our axle was out of alignment by half an inch.� They made availability for the next morning to get the axle realigned and two new tires on the trailer. They was fast, efficient, and very reasonably priced. The biggest blessing is there is a campground that is privately owned adjacent to them, so we had a safe place to stay for the night as well The folks at Overweg are very friendly and genuine.

Very knowledgeable, super helpful and friendly.While not glad to have a breakdown on the side of the road, I was thankful that they were the ones who got us back on the road and on our way on Black Friday (they were closed). Came up with a quick fix to get us back on the road and on our way back to New York.Thank you so much. Highly recommend Dan and his team.

I can't speak highly enough of Overweg Repair. They worked us in immediately when we were passing through the area and our 7.3 diesel wouldn't start. Gavin stayed late working on it and even ordered and picked up parts for us. AND let us borrow the tools we needed to swap out the part. These folks are awesome! Such a refreshing and positive experience!

Excellent service, very fair prices. Dan had my problem diagnosed and fixed very quickly even on a Sunday morning. Had me back on the road in less than two hours from my initial call. Can not thank you enough. Great service!

They went above and beyond and wish I could give the 6 stars. This will sound weird but the breakdown could not have occured in better place.We were on the return leg of our camping trip to Wyoming when the bearings failed on our camper and stranded us on the side of I90 outside of Kimball,SD. Dan left a charity event he was attending to come and get us off the road and was there exceptionally fast.We drove ahead and met him back at his shop where we grabbed what we needed and what would fit in our truck out of our camper. Our children were stressing out over the whole situation and Dan again came to the rescue and gave them some candy and chatted with them while we loaded the truck up.Then to top the whole situation off he was able to get the axle and hub replaced, inspect the other axle, grease the other bearings so the camper was ready to be back on the road by Thursday with great communication through the whole process.Then Dan and his wife Corrine to the rescue again we picked up the camper pretty much willing to pay anything for the amazing service they had provided and the bill was exceptionally fair. And while we waited to get the paperwork done Corrine gave the girls each a little toy to keep them occupied.They went out of their way and if you ever have an option where you will break down, this is the place to do it. We cannot thank you enough for everything you did.

Daniel was quick and proficient while Kayla was attentive and communicated better than my court ordered divorce therapist. Overweg repair- 5/5 would recommend. Marriage- 1/5 would not.

Long story short DO NOT COME HERE ! THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUNG TRAVELERS. you re better off taking your business to the Shop next door at Kalebs Auto. Kaleb is an Authentic hardworking honest man who ll give you a genuine fair price, he actually lives by his company motto. Btw Kalebs Auto charges $55 for tow pickups. Under any circumstances please AVOID OVERWEG, the staff is unpleasant and passive aggressive and they are not honest about their services. My biggest regret was coming here. Definitely learned to ask more questions and be more assertive from this experience though lol.(They responded to the review but I can assure you the only estimate that was given was for the alternator. Again Kaleb Auto is the place to go, he offered to stay after hours at his shop to get back out same day but overweg had our vehicle by then. They never clarified any of the other added on charges prior to working on the car so we were trapped with a price.)The long story for anyone who is curious. I m a young woman in her early 20 s traveling the states with my partner and my Alternator went out otw to Wyoming. I Had to pulled over right outside the kimball exit, the local officer didn t let me call another tow company and so we ended up with this location, spent the night at Dakota Winds.Everything escalated the next morning when I went to go pick up my vehicle and The middle aged blonde woman behind the desk (Kayla) so unnecessarily aggressive. She immediately tried to be intimidating by giving a wide eye stare in such a god awful tone we re not discussing the price . I couldn t even question the bill or put up a fight, even though there were multiple things that was not communicated, she had this attitude that either I cough up the $800 or I m stuck in kimball. I wish I got to speak with a manager to make up for this experience, maybe gain some clarity on the pricing of this repair and get some understanding. Perhaps I wouldn t be writing this review. my partner and I were really disheartened because of how highly rated this location was and then to have this experience. Sigh.I was met with such a lack of emotional intelligence it felt like talking to child in an adults body. That morning. The woman with brown short hair I spoke to the evening before had much better attitude and made me feel safe but The middle aged blonde lady.Ended up paying nearly $800 for a 3 miles tow and alternator. I m from Chicago and tows are half the cost I was charged here.All in all they are not a honest company. As a young person traveling, I m incredibly dissatisfied and disappointed. They also seem racially bias, I had overheard some comments and seen some micro aggressions (again from the blonde lady), so if you re a poc, again I would avoid this shop. I hope this message reaches anyone who needs it.I know It s so hard to find good quality people and services these days, especially as a traveler. This was simply my experience with this business and personal recommendations. Bless and safe travels to all.

RV broke down on trip.Dan,owner, answered phone and assessed problem on day off. Next day made extra effort to aid us with great price on rental so we could continue trip while repaires were made,also at good price. Thank you to everyone at Overweg for kindness and their appreciation of our situation

While traveling thru South Dakota, heading to Indiana, the rear end went out of my truck pulling our fifth wheel camper. Overweg was able to tow our camper to the nearest campground and from there took the truck to their shop. This happened late on a Saturday and first thing Monday morning they had the truck tore apart to access the damage. They ordered parts and stayed late in order to get it up and running and we were back on the road Wednesday morning. Would highly recommend Dan and his entire crew at Overweg. Thanks for all the help!

I called them on a tire blow out, 5 miles out on a Sunday afternoon, they were to me in 13 min! Did a wonderful job getting the wiring out from the camper axle the tire ripped up!If you need help, call these guys! I highly recommend them! Service with a smile and not rip off guys! I'm so happy I chose them by chance! Best service call in my life!!

Great place to get a flat tire in front of on a late Saturday afternoon . So helpful and accommodating!! The motorcycle guy came back from his vacation on a Sunday and went straight to the shop to fix us up!!! Our motorcycle trip might have be ruined if not for the kindness and loyalty this place provided to us!! God Bless them!! If you are ever in Kimball South Dakota please give them a shout out and utilize their services!!!! Not to many places around who honor customers like they did!!!!

Overweg helped me out when my kids and I got stranded at the gas station across the street. They towed me over and diagnosed everything after hours. The part was not available until the following Monday but they were able to set me up with a rental to allow me to enjoy my weekend. As an over the road, Heavy Haul trucker it is so nice to find a company like this. They have helped me out a couple of times now, fixed some pretty serious problems & a couple of maintenance items. Timely repairs and FAIR PRICING !! Came to the campground and repaired a coolant leak on our motorhome. Also pointed out another potential problem and tightened it up. Dan was knowledgeable and friendly. Glad he was able to get us on the road again.Good to know great service is still available.

I had emergency breakdown on the interstate. I pulled in there at lunch time. The first mechanic back was Nathaniel, the girls told him my problem & he jumped right on it.. I had a broken spring. I went ahead and replaced them both. In and out in 2 1/2 hrs. Thanks to them I was back on the road.

I came in unannounced for a tire and break chamber at 8am. Two hours later my truck was done at a very reasonable price, with quantity american made parts. I highly recommend this shop and will definitely come back if the opportunity presents itself. Great Job guys and gals!

My passenger and I got in a terrible car accident and Overweg came to tow my vehicle. They were the most helpful, kind and understanding people on one of the worst days of my life. I was ten hours from home and they helped us, let us hang out in the lobby for hours while we figured out what to do, and in the end let an employee out early so she could drive us to the bus stop. I cannot explain how grateful we were for their help, hospitality and understanding during a very difficult time. If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would. On our way back to Brookings and on Sunday night around 8:30pm he towed our car to his shop and put a spare tire on in less than an hour. We are very thankful for the help.Not to mention the price was very reasonable.Services: Tires, Auto tire replacement

Outstanding people! I got broke down day before the Christmass last year i needed jump start for my Volvo due to the freezing conditions i gave them a call and owner said he would come tomorrow on Christmas! I got so much appreciation for such a move cause he came over left his family just to help a stranger in need. He jump started the truck but along the way we found that we have transmision problems and entructed them to do the work! They did phenomenal job on my 10speed manual transmision and would recomend these people over again. Good prices, quality job done, dedication. 10/10

My truck lost power coming into Kimball. Called for help. Yes, it was after closing, but I could see the mechanic standing outside on the phone. He refused to help. Has to limp back to Mitchell to have O'Reilly clear a code. Took 2 minutes, but cost me 2 hours. I gave kid $100.

When the roadside assistant couldn't find a provider, we found Overweg Repair. The owner of the shop came out to rescue me. And also had my tire size in stock and got me down the road. Awesome job! If I ever break down near this area again I've got a friend on the road.

We were traveling home in our RV and blew 2 tires. They got us in right away in the morning and happened to have 2 tires which aren t a common size and got us on the road in an hour and a half!
