This campground is fantastic! We rented an RV spot, large and small cabin to fit our entire family of 19. The kids had a blast exploring the hills and creek, playing in the pool and just hanging out around camp. It is close to everything we wanted to see in SD. The cafe was great and cheap and the staff were friendly and helpful. Can't wait to stay here again someday!

We loved this campground! The owners and staff were very friendly and genuine. They were helpful with different area attractions, drives, and hikes. My kids loved playing mini golf and fishing in the trout pond. We were able to see a fox and deer right at the campground. The hike to the Old Ghost Town was really neat and it was like a treasure hunt to find all the old buildings. The new campground shower house was done very well and the cafe was nice. Make sure to get a cinnamon roll in the cafe...delicious!

Beautiful and quiet. I loved the playground that was available for my toddler to play on. There is no cell service to their WiFi was available and you could get it in most parts of the campground. It was nice how close we were to Mount Rushmore. We had a fun, beautiful drive to the destination.Definitely recommend staying here!

My husband and I stayed here for the first time during Sturgis Bike Week. Our cabin (#8) was perfect for us! We had everything we needed! The laundry was close by and the store & Cafe was top notch!! The service was impeccable, the coffee was FANTASTIC, and the food was delicious! We had breakfast there every morning. The location was everything we expected it to be...quiet, peaceful and close to everything we wanted to do and see. We would definitely recommend this place and we will be back!!!!

We vacationed here for 5 days at the end of July and it was the most beautiful place I could have ever camped at. This place has lots of trees surrounding it, a cute little brook and pond that we re maintained. The temperature was perfect at the higher elevation from which we left at! Literally the best little hideaway campgrounds we could ever have found! The shop is really neat and the food was excellent! That breakfast pizza still has us talking almost a month later! We bought two coffee mugs and they are quality!I also love that there was a full bathroom/shower facility with a laundry room. I know camping typical means roughing it but I m totally a fan of still being able to be clean and have fresh clothes to put on and they really do good work to keep everything in great working order!Oh and the GPS does take you all the way to them as long as you have it going before you get to Keystone. Otherwise, Iron Mountain Road and Playhouse Road are super fun! Lots of twists and curves!!!

We ve enjoyed several days at Spokane Creek while sightseeing through the Black Hills. The campground is clean, the facilities well cared for, nice laundry. There is a pool and miniature golf, common areas, fire pits, cafe, gift store. The owners are very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will return if ever back this way. Also, cabins, RV hook-ups, and tent camping.

This campground near Mt Rushmore was a great place for our family. Day trips to Mt Rushmore/Crazy Horse & Badlands/Wall Drug. We tent camped one night & stayed in a cabin 3 nights. They have a well kept pool, playground, and put put course. There is a large covered picnic area for groups (someone was using it for a family reunion). Very modern, clean, and private shower/toilet facilities (the best I've seen at any camping site). Laundry facilities, general store/gift shop and restaurant (amazing cinnamon rolls). The staff and owners were all very friendly and helpful. They are familiar with the local attractions and will gladly offer their experience in the area to help you and your family enjoy your time there. If you're planning a camping trip in the area, or passing through on a "great American road trip" put this on your short list of places to stay.

Super family friendly campground for tent camping, RVs and cabin rentals. I was able to meet both Brian and Laura during my visit and they were very welcoming. There are plenty of amenities like clean bathrooms, laundry and lots of family-oriented activities. If you're tent camping, you could park right next to your campsite and easily set-up. Some sites have both water, electricity and there was wifi internet access. It was also conveniently located nearby Mount Rushmore and Custer State Park. There is a store on-site with a small restaurant, camping supplies, drinks and souvenirs. Would definitely recommend stopping by and trying this campground out yourself.

We loved it here. The Cabins were perfect. The area has clean individual bathrooms with showers. The store and diner has everything you would need. If you love your local coffee shop, this place's lattes are delicious. Definitely a place we plan to come back to. It doesn't even matter that it's close to Mount Rushmore. Oh yeah, and the owners are awesome!Nearby activities: Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial

Very nice campground. The owner and workers were very nice and accommodating. Had a shower building with individual shower rooms that also had toilets. Free putt putt, pool, playground. Is in the black hills so lots of twists, turns and hills on the way but it was gorgeous and we followed the directions provided without any difficulties. Very much enjoyed.

We didn't stay here, I'm sad to say. However, we stopped in for directions and couldn't have gotten a more satisfactory guide! Laura was very helpful and even gave us extra places to see on our adventure! Next time we come we will book with you! Thanks for the great tips!Noteworthy details: Helpful in navigating scenic places!

We stayed there from June 28- July4, and it was pretty quiet the first few days, but closer to the 4th it filled up which we expected. The showers were ok, but there's only 6 of them (shower + toilet + sink in a room) so when it's busy you'll most likely have to wait. Each room has 1 small shelf, 1 bench, 2 hooks, and the water is warm, not hot. The fans in the shower were a plus though. There is a small toilet on a trailer that was convenient, especially when all of the rooms at the shower house were taken. Friendly staff and good cafe. Becky was great! It's a nice campground, especially with the creek and has a great location, just wish the showers/bathrooms were different.

Late decision to go to Sturgis (week before the rally). Lucked into a cabin.Cabin was better than other cabins we have stayed at in other places. Had a bathroom and shower!Good breakfasts available (and other foods). The bathhouse they recently built is very nice.Centrally located to many great roadsAnd is on the middle of Iron Mountain road, a must ride toward Mt. Rushmore. We plan to go back next year.

I highly recommend this shady little campground. It's easy to get to and right in the middle of the black hills. The staff were very friendly and suggested local things to do that otherwise might escape your notice. There are many activities to keep the kids engaged such as mini golf, a pool and the general store cantina. You can't do much better for a private campground, RV, or cabin camping park. Just a few minutes outside keystone.Rooms: We rented one of the older cabins and it was cleaned, well maintained and the laundry service for linens and towels was on point.Safety: We let the kids run mindlessly all over the park without a second thought.Food & drinks: The cantina was punching well above its weight class for a very reasonable price.

We visited in October 2022 - stayed for a week. Everyone was super helpful and very nice. We have two boys (11 and 16) and they had hiking trails and they loved visiting the store and talking with the owners. Brand NEW bathrooms and Laundry -> VERY CLEAN facilities and spectacular grounds - very well kept. The campground spots are roomy and nice - it is very quiet and peaceful. The location is PERFECTLY located to all of the scenic drives, Crazy horse and Mount Rushmore. It sits in a valley right off of Iron Creek Rd which is the start of the Needles Highway drive. You are at the intersection of Custer Park and Black Hills National forest, the wildlife loop and the needles highway. The directions provided were perfect for us (can't use Google because campers/trailers do not fit through some of the tunnels) and the drive was very easy with great roads and views. We HIGHLY recommend. It was a great experience- we will be back!!

Stopped there yesterday due to an impending hail storm just up the road. These folks couldn't have been any nicer. While there we noticed my Harley tire was loosing air quickly. Found I had picked up some metal. Brain stopped what he was doing and plugged my tire for me then refused the money I wanted to give him. We're making the place a regular stop, hope to see you there.

My family and I chose Spokane Creek as our base for our time while in the Black Hills..We drove from Long Island, so we ended up renting a cabin.. after 2 days on the road, Glamping for sure is the way to go. The last thing we wanted to do was set up tents after a long drive, lolWe stayed in Cabin 14. Cozy cabin with a front porch. Right in front of the pond they have there. close to the showers and up by the store they have on the campgrounds. Fire pit right in front, picnic table light enough to move around if need be. The mini fridge and microwave are great additions. Helps save some money by keeping some groceries in there.Bathrooms are cleaned daily, hot water. They are individually separated (shower, toilet, sink), which is great for families. Plus, there are extra toilets around the campgrounds.Convenience store is well stocked, souvenirs, firewood, water, ice, alcohol, and hot food are available as well. They have a nice trail right on the campgrounds, which is great if you wanna stretch your legs out. Quiet. great views up top.We take the one star off bc we had some not so clean comforters on one of the beds upon arrival. Blood stains. Luckily, that specific bed we did not have to use... could use an extra hook or bench in the bathrooms... not sure if its always as packed as it was during our stay but we ended up staying during the annual motorcycle rally in town lol, which was cool to see all the bikes lined up in the lot, but due to the location of the cabin and the parking lot, you could hear the pipes from the bikes all day long, could use a couple evergreens or bushes to drown out the noise.. the trail on the property could use a little more upkeep.Overall, we loved our stay. All around staff was professional and courteous. For sure, I would recommend to anyone traveling to the area.

I'd leave a 10 star review just for the shower/bathrooms - hot showers, good water pressure, and clean clean clean! The owner checked us in and was so friendly and helpful. I love that he gave us a map and told us about all of the free amenities they offered, while circling where to find them on the map. They offered mini golf, a swimming pool, and an awesome playground, in addition to a dish washing station, plenty of water fill-up stations, and a washer and dryer. Everything looked brand new and well-cleaned and managed. We brought a dog with us, and the owner handed us some dog treats on our way to our campsite - tons of little details that just make you feel good! The tent spots were a great size; we had a 6-person tent and could've fit 2! Wish we could've stayed longer to enjoy everything this campground had to offer! Hope to come back one day!

Simple cabins with just enough necessities to get you by. The shower houses are beautifully updated. Camp store serves a great breakfast. Only complaint is the store/breakfast hours could have been earlier so we could get back out to ride earlier but breakfast was good enough to stick around and wait. New owners are very friendly and attentive to the property.

Secluded and quiet at night, during the day people going by on Iron Mountain Road provide a nice soundtrack if you like the sound of Harleys! Plenty for the kids to do, pool, mini golf, etc. Nice playground equipment for the little ones too.Food & drinks: On site Cafe has fair prices and absolutely delicious food!

This place is great! I normally boondock but with the family along I needed someplace with amenities. We got a camp site next to a little stream with electrical and water. Nice spot with shade. We fit our F150, 10x10 canopy, and tent trailer next to each other and didn't feel cramped. They have showers, nice bathrooms, laundry, a playground, pool, and mini golf. You're surrounded by woods and mountains so it's a beautiful view. And don't forget to order your cinnamon rolls the night before at the Cafe... they're very popular. I'll gladly stay here again!2022 Update:They built a brand new shower house with individual shower rooms the whole family can use. They also added a new playground by the tent camping spots. What was good became even better. The family loves this place.

Found this little gem doing some googling! Decided to rent a cabin and it was worth it. Can fit 8 people, furnished, and clean! The site has a cafe for your morning coffee and cinnamon rolls. It's conveniently placed to get to town and of course Mt. Rushmore. There's a fire pit and amazing views! Even better, they are pet friendly! Loved staying here, will certainly be back again!

Great place for family camping. The owners have invested in revamping this campground and it shows. Clean, modern individual bathrooms with showers, new playground for kids, expanded food options and more. The location is great as well. You are right at the edge of Custer State Park and close to Mount Rushmore. This is a great place for your camping requirements.

Staying at Spokane Creek cabins was such a dream! It s nestled in the perfect spot between Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore. I was impressed by how immaculately clean and spacious Cabin 10 was. Bed was nice and comfy with a homey feel. The have a cafe that makes full breakfasts (try their cinnamon rolls), sandwiches and pizza. Their specialty coffee drinks are delicious, staff is friendly, and facilities are well maintained. Also loved the fire pits and putt putt golf. Do not hesitate to book here. I hope to return soon!
