This place is the worst, it should be shut down! Does South Dakota have no public health standards? There was no outlet plate on wall, outlet didn't work half the time. Cleanliness is awful!!! There was a dirty crusty towel in our shower, the water is cold only, no hot water. Papers left in room from last guest. Rooms smell, another guest asked us if our room stunk too and I said yes. No staff on this side of road, very unsafe. There is a difference between old and unkept, this is disgusting! $130 for a night, they should have paid us for the risk of sleeping here. The people that run this should be very asshamed of themselves for the filth and laziness. I'm going to call this in with pictures to prove.Noteworthy details: Gross and filthy

This hotel was disturbing. We had no options but to come here because everywhere else was booked due to the Sturgis Bike Rally.Three ladies behind the counter checked us in. They were totally oblivious of our presence, we were charged $105 while based on the accommodations, a reasonable price would have been $25/night.When we entered the room, I could not see because the bedroom ceiling light was not working; I had to use my flashlight to find a working bedroom lamp. I could not sleep due to the heat, flies biting me all over, and a busy black spider in the corner of the room was making rounds many dead flies were all over the edges of the room and they have fallen on dirt and hair from previous guests. The floor underneath the bed was extremely dirty! Also, people above us on the second floor were pacing, moving furniture, and the noise did not stop until 5 am. At this time, I got up and left. I did not shower, or use the bathroom, or have breakfast due to dirtiness. There was a door that had a simple lock and NOT A single latch connecting my room to an unknown neighboring dwelling. It felt incredibly unsafe. The bed was so bad, that I was sinking while trying to kick flies off of me and the white bed sheets had stains and hairs that were not mine. I have videos and pictures I do not understand how this is allowed. This is nothing. We were initially assigned to another room. When I pulled the blanket, there was a urine stain on the bed sheet. The whole room smelled like a toilet. I informed the front desk ladies, who were unprofessionally dressed, about the situation. They came into the room, and one of them put her hand over the urine stain and proclaimed that this is rainwater leaking from the roof. This is impossible! There was a second floor above us!! And magically the rainwater did not land anywhere else but managed to skip the blanket and ceiling and land on a specific area of the inner bed sheet. Then when I looked at her, incredulously that she thinks we are stupid, she said oh, the lady forgot to change the sheets so she sent the other front desk lady to investigate if the other available 1st floor room has been cleaned. To which she informed us that there was a room that met her standards after she inspected it. This is the room that was described in the previous paragraph.

Friendly staff, clean rooms & the pictures don't show it but the rooms do have TVs (that can take HDMI hookups for RokuTV/Fire Sticks). The two big negatives were they listed a pool & breakfast as amenities but the pool was closed (it was summer time). And the breakfast was very limited (no fruit, no eggs or really any other protein) & what food there was (pre-made waffles, cinnamon rolls, donut holes) ran out within 5-10 minutes of them opening so most of our party was only able to have toast.

Just driving through and needed a last minute place to stay at. We ll look no further and save your money. You re better off sleeping in your car at this point. Outdated, yes. A little questionable, yes. Bedbugs, yes. Currently in the room with no where to really sleep because I m unsure of sleeping in the beds since they have bedbugs. 1000% going to the front desk as soon as they open to get a refund.

The sleep was good, the room itself was good, the TV wasn t working unless I was trying to turn it on wrong. The beds were comfy, but there were dead bugs in the window and the windows weren t locked and usually no one would check that. The pool was not working/on for anyone wondering. The front desk person was very sweet, and the rooms seemed clean, we were only there for 1 night so O can t really say much but if you need a quick place to sleep I would recommend!

Pool broken, rooms not super clean, toilet paper empty. Tv was really old and made an awful high pitch noise and was not able to be used because of it. My whole family woke up with some sort of bug bites the next morning.

We were there for two nights over the holiday weekend. So appreciated the hotel allowing us to keep our 3 dogs at the hotel. The check-in went well, the motel is older but the room was nice and very clean. I slept great! Good shower! Breakfast- Meh. Plenty of parking. A quick drive to Badlands National Park. Helpful hint- there is a gas station and convenience store near, but not much else. If you are hungry, eat before you get there. Many people going over the speed limit, even by 1-2 MPH were getting tickets by local police. Stay under the limit and keep your $$ in your wallet. Enjoy!

Great place to stop. They were pet friendly. They are across the street from a good sized gas station and you can get food and supplies there.Rooms: Rooms were cool and clean.Safety: I felt safe there. Double locks on door.Walkability: You could walk if you wanted. Mosquitos were a little too friendly.. (Not the motels fault, just trying to add a little humor)

Enjoyable!! Very clean room, smelled good. Comfy beds, pool, and the included breakfast was above and beyond. Close to I-90, very convenient. Highly recommended. We stayed in a family room w/two queen beds + a twin. Plenty of room. We paid $116.52 ($106.90+taxes), which I thought was reasonable. The only thing I hope they improve is to resurface the area around the pool.

Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The free breakfast was nice and had several options. The coffee was good. The pool deck needs to be repaired as it hurt your feet to stand on ( pebbles coming off and patchy areas). Overall a good stay. I'd recommend it and would stay again.

Was a nice little motel to stop for the.night without having to drive 2 hrs more. Only problem is there are NO FOOD PLACES. There are 2 gas stations but no hot food. Not even freezer/cold stuff to heat up. No cold sandwiches. Make sure you stop in Wall, SD if traveling east or somewhere 3 hrs away if traveling west to get food. There is no microwave to warm it up but cold sandwiches would have been nice.

The place was clean, plenty of breakfast and good wifi. What made the stay wonderful was that the hosts went out of their way to be helpful EVERYTIME I needed something. One even mailed out an item left behind. Really great service, definitely above and beyond. You can pay for better sheets but that doesn't mean you'll meet kind people :)

My family came here after a storm destroyed our tent in the Badlands. We had no idea what to expect but it was the first place we found on interstate. We where pleasantly surprised. The young man working that night was awesome. He let us use the dryer without hesitation as EVERYTHING we had was wet and had great customer service. Rooms where clean and the free breakfast was pretty decent.

Arrived late at night, staff was amazingly friendly. Was able to get a pet friendly room on the ground floor. This the first night I've been able to get a good night sleep since I left the west coast (this was our third night). We left too early for breakfast so can't say anything about that. There was coffee in the room so that's a plus. Worst thing we can say is the shower needs updating, but it functioned well enough for its purpose.

Cleans rooms and friendly service with uncomfortable beds and thin walls. When we arrived they didn't have any rooms ready, but the cleanly lady was super friendly and said she would go clean one right away for us. A few minutes later we were in our room. It was very clean, but we did find a giant spider in the bathroom, which we left alone and named harold. The beds were not the best and when we laid on the comforter to watch a movie we found the comforter to be kinda scratchy to lay on. As we went to bed we could clearly hear the footsteps of the kids in the room above us and could clearly make out the words of people as they walked past our room. The continental breakfast consisted of hard boiled eggs, bagels, biscuits and gravy, cereal, oatmeal, and a few donuts. Better than I expected for a continental breakfast. The one thing that is nice is that everything within the small town is within walking distance of the Inn. Gas station and most the restaurants are across the street. There is a bar and a grocery store 1/2 mile down the road.

I called in and made a reservation for the same night. I told the women on the phone that I would arrive late probably around at 12AM. She said I can check-in at a partner motel across the street for late check ins. I arrived at 11PM and not even single person is there at both the motels. They left an emergency number which is directly going to voice mail. I tried couple of phone numbers provided and no one answered. We waited for an hour outside thinking someone might show up at some point but no one did. We had to sleep in the car for the rest of the night. Worst experience ever.

The room was clean and met our expectations. There is a pool, but the deck was uncomfortable to walk on and the water was freezing even though it was a 90 degree day. The free WiFi was quick and reliable. Breakfast was acceptable, and the service was efficient and friendly.

I would not stay again. Arrived late at night and staff was friendly enough. Room felt filthy, like it had not been cleaned.Bed had stained sheets and was dirty.General impression is place is dated and is in serious need of refreshing. If I had a choice I would have not stayed at all and would have picked up and left. Was uncomfortable enough slept hardly at all.Showered up and spent the rest of the night in the truck.

For the price, in this location, it's just right. For just around 100$ ( we paid $110 in a larger room) it's very basic, but the beds are comfy, the shower pressure is good, the doors are secure, everything works, and the rooms are CLEAN. The only criticism I had is that the wifi was slow (I feel like this might be on par for the area).

Bugs in the bed. The staff was really helpful and friendly but we obviously asked for a refund when we saw bugs. Also saw that the pool doesn't have water. Other than that we didn't stay the night so don't know how everything else would have been.

This place was very neat & clean. The gal working the front desk was very polite & helpful. The rate for the room was very affordable. The only thing I would recommend is starting the continental breakfast at 6 AM

Surprisingly OK and clean which is most important to me. Small town off interstate. Old place. Clean room without any concerns after thorough check. Beds are a bit softer than the floor and could use replacing. Box spring was ripped at a seam and ducktaped which was questionable. No blowdryer in room. Has soaps and shampoo. Outdoor pool and decent breakfast. Friendly staff. For price, could use some updating.

I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and quality for the price. My husband and I attempted to stay at another hotel in Kadoka which turned out to have no vacancy when we saw the Budget Host down the way. Having had bad experiences with hotels similar to this, we almost got back on the highway to drive to the next town; however, I am glad we decided to stay. The rooms were clean and orderly. Appliances were new and working (television and coffee maker - no microwave fridge) and soap, shampoo, conditioner, and plenty of towels were available. Internet was complimentary and high speed.

We are Hampton Inn & Holiday Inn folks and we were very pleased with this quaint little motor inm. Very clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Biscuits & gravy for breakfast was great. Would recommend this place to everyone. We needed a place for 3 adults so we got 2 queen size beds and one twin bed for $104 plus tax with AARP discount. Can't beat that. Thumbs up!
