I want to support local business owners and franchises but this one needs some work. I was the only one booked at this hotel and that should have been an indicator. The managers were a very friendly Indian couple and were helpful. The lobby smelled of food/cumin or some spice. Not the best smell. Had issues with getting the room keys programmed but not the end of the world. Was looking forward to the pool but it was ice cold. Said it was supposed to be repaired but the repair guy didn't show up. But after reading other reviews it looks like the "repair guy" hasn't shown up for months. The shower was in pretty rough shape, needs a new shower head. But the water pressure was fine. Breakfast was also a disappointment. No hot breakfast. Just cereal. And the bagels were rock hard. Had a nice gym though. The price was good but not for what I got.Rooms: The rooms were kinda dirty and was missing the microwaveFood & drinks: There's some fast food nearby. My husband and I booked this hotel for a single night for our anniversary. We were really looking forward to all the amenities offered, but once we got there, we realized most of them weren't actually operational. The pool and hot tub, while clean, were both freezing cold. The air in our room never really got cold. The jets in our jacuzzi tub had no pressure and the tub itself wasn't particularly clean, leaving black specks in the water. The posted time for breakfast was 6:30-9:30. We woke up via the alarm a little after 8, and headed to the Breakfast area, only to see it was closed because 1. It actually stops at 9 and 2. The alarm in our room was an hour behind. Although the couple who seemingly run the hotel were incredibly nice, that cannot make.up for unusable amenities when they were specifically why we booked this hotel. I gave 3 stars, as the price was very affordable, but I could have stayed at an even more affordable hotel and had the same experience, had I not booked this one for amenities we couldn't utilize.Rooms: Relatively clean, smelled faintly of cigarette smoke that was never eradicated.Nearby activities: There's a few really good restaurants near by. The Silk Road Experience was definitely top notch. There's a mammoth museum and lots of nature to behold.

The hotel is advertised as pet friendly but there was no way of booking a pet room on the booking site. When I arrived I was told that all of the pet rooms were full. I could stay in a non pet room but I would have to pay $40 cash for extra cleaning. He would only accept cash. I have serious doubts that the $40 cash was used for extra cleaning because the room was filthy, especially the bathroom. The toilet leaked and the towels were rags. The next day the hotel manager tried to hassle me for another $40 cash. I complained about the dirty room but said he could just wait to clean it when I checked out. I didn't want anyone to come into the room while I was gone. He continued to hassle me for more cash but kept changing the amount and the reason. I ended up giving him $60 cash total. He said there was no way of giving me a receipt for the cash I paid him. Very suspicious.Besides that, I would never stay here again. It's not as advertised. It's run down, not well managed, and the breakfast is just cereal.

First of all, I tried calling this hotel 5 times several days before our reservation to request to have adjoining rooms (I booked 2 rooms for my family and I) and the guy I talked to keep acting like he couldn t hear me and the other calls I was hung up on. We get to the hotel a little early and the guy seemed like we w inconveniencing him. He keeps asking are you good? while checking in and walking down the hall. The pool was a joke. It was COOLLDD!! And cloudy we got into the hot tub and than went to the front desk to ask for more towels since there were none in the pool area. I asked for 5 towels and he told the other lady to get us 3 ( we have 5 people checked in and visually seen staying in this hotel, why 3??). Breakfast was waffle batter, oatmeal packets, and dried out bread. Yes it was the end of March but there was 1 other couple there in the whole hotel, kinda creepy how empty it was. Mirror on back of door half fell off! Brought our cleaning supplies..dirty Clorox wipes after wiping sink etc. Daughter tried hair dryer and it smelled like pee Almost no water pressure but it was hot at least. Oh and if you thought you were going to work out in their gym, be prepared to step back 3 decades. We had booked for 3 nights but left after 2 and went north to a bigger city. Overall, a creepy feeling. The movie Vacancy comes to mind.

I had to stay here for a night for work and I wanted to sleep in my car instead. The carpets need replacing, that s how gross they are. Their free breakfast is cereal and toast (but don t forget there s a waffle maker ). The juice machine s juice tastes like mold, meaning it s not being cleaned. And let s not forget how improperly trained on how to properly book a hotel reservation they are. Here for work, had to go through the work site to do it all. The room I was in did have a shower head I could take down and probably spin with. I ll give it that much.Food & drinks: They have a couple vending machines, and the breakfast they serve is not worth it. Stay asleep.

This was probably a nice place In the past. Showed signs of poor management. The first room they gave me, the heat did not work, and had not been cleaned, the bed was wrecked and not made, and the last person's trash still laying around. When I called about it, I was hung up on. I went down to the lobby and asked for another room. Maybe they thought I pulling teeth or something. Finally got the new room. PLENTY of parking for a semi truck a d trailer. Nice view, area. The hotel needs attention, and staff needs trained or replaced. I hate giving poor reviews, but why spend hard earned money when it is perceived that the establishment does not care?

The young owner is sweet and kind and delightful. The price is crazy inexpensive, which is why they can't afford good housekeeping services. I want everyone to go there so they can get enough funds to make it more lovely.Rooms: Slightly dustyNearby activities: Hot springsMt RushmoreWalking pathWild horse sanctuarySafety: FineWalkability: Great walking path out backFood & drinks: Nearby restaurantsNoteworthy details: Kind owner

Pool and hot tub not working. Dirty place that needs a good cleaning, bought our own cleaning supplies to use the rooms. Managers run the front desk and not available most times. Sink wouldn't drain, outlets didn't work and stains on our sheets was happy we brought towels to lay on. Was upset no one told us about the pool and hot tub out of order until we changed and planned our night went down to area and freezing and out of order. Thank goodness wifi worked and they had HBO, good water pressure in shower.Management tried their best but run down and not up to standards. Breakfast was a joke, plan on going out. Only fruit loops (milk was expired) and oatmeal, did have waffle maker. No juice or other food offered. Mornin Sunshine (about 2 mikes downtown) had a great breakfast for price.

This hotel was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. If I'd had another option, we would have taken it. If I could have slept outside, I would have (-2*). Both rooms we booked were filthy, had dust/grime on lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, and counters. There were empty toilet paper rolls, half used rolls, and no extras. Towels were barely folded and haphazard on the shelves. There was an odor that permeated the rooms that we couldn't get rid of. I would NEVER recommend it to another person. When I asked to cancel our second night, the clerk HANDWROTE a gmail account to send an email to, but shrugged and said he didn't know if "they'd" get back to me. Absolutely horrible.

We called the hotel ahead of time to let them know we would be late. When we arrived a sign instructed us to use the house phone that no one answered. We hollered and looked wherever we could go to find someone. After 20 minutes someone working at the motel redoing the rooms went and got someone. I'm listing things that I noticed.-Cobwebs on ceiling-Loud heated with no auto-Lobby carpet needs vacuuming-Non-working light bulb in bathroom-Unfriendly help-Very sad breakfast-Shredded and stained towels we had to ask for, there was none in the room- Leftover used pods in coffee pot.- No elevator we carried a lot of bags up the stairs.I've been here for 9 hours and I'm ready to go home. On the plus side the coffee was good and the guy that was taping and sheet rocking for the motel was friendly. I usually don't leave reviews but this felt like something I should warn others about.

Rooms were dirty, banister broken, garbages in the rooms still had garbage in them, an ice bucket had been left in the sink, pillow case had lipstick stains on it, toothpaste was stuck in the carpet, Kleenex and toilet paper had not been refilled, towels had not been refilled properly, the rooms had not been vacuumed, etc. We did not stay here, they refused to cancel the rooms and give me my refund. Nobody answered the phone number for the manager the front desk gave me to call. Baymont corporate has not yet sent me the email to fill out my official complaint. However they did give me a case number.Rooms: Rooms are dirty, pool is full of scum. Staff is unhelpful tried to refuse to let us leave. They did refuse us a refund.

For a lower priced motel the room was pretty good. Breakfast was decent, 6:30 to 9:00 am. I generally don't eat breakfast but I do drink coffee. I stayed there for 9 nights. I ate breakfast twice. Had coffee 7 mornings. Got 3 to 4 buckets of ice. So the problem I had was a few days after my stay I checked my credit card, which I check regularly, I was charged $113.02. Charged on the day I checked out. When I called about it they denied charging me. They asked if I could email some sort of proof. I did & did not hear anything back. So after about a week of waiting I contacted my bank. Now I'm waiting for my replacement card.

The room was dirty - cobwebs on the walls, a tub that didn t drain properly, stained bedding, coffee pods that were left in the coffee maker, mold in & around the fridge. Breakfast was not good: no eggs, gravy that tasted like flour. No one at the desk to check in and after calling (per instructions) 3 times, I finally yelled and someone answered then. Not in a great looking part of town. All in all, will not stay again. Management and the franchise needs to come look at this hotel and train staff as all of it was not great

The location is okay but have a nice view of a trailer park out the window, once you fix the broken curtains to open them. This place is horrendous no carpet in king suite room so our toddlers feet are filthy. The heater is so loud you have to shut it off to hear the tv or visit on the phone the Wi-Fi is super slow. Guest laundry but no detergent machine to buy some. Pool yes there is a pool but it has algae growing in it and leaves on bottom. Temperature of pool is like a hot tub. If it wasn t disgusting might be nice! Now let s talk about the breakfast well you have biscuits with gravy no sausage in it dried out bagels and bread a waffle maker that actually works but no peanut butter for them. No sugar for the coffee no fruits yogurt eggs they have nothing! Booked for two nights wanted to check out today because of all of this front desk is very unhelpful would not let us check out or give me a receipt so I can get discounts around town! I have filed a formal complaint with corporate but have to wait a week! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE!

My Dad got COVID and I drove him to the hospital so I couldn't go home to my house because one of my daughters has a newborn baby. So if I wasn't in such a bind, already called two other motels, no answer from one and too high for the other, I wouldn't have even stayed here after I saw condition of room It's hard not to pick a room apart when the first thing you see is an unvacuumed dirty floor.-Floor hasn't been vacuumed in a long time-Massive Dust and lint beside refrigerator that hasn't been cleaned in months,-Filthy bed skirts-One of my beds I think had dirty sheets, been slept on or something with brown stains, but was made up by housekeeping-Torn sheetsI think literally ever surface had dust, pictures, headboard, dressers, mirrors-Torn curtains-Mirrors not cleaned or with smears like washed off with water and washcloth.-Stained sitting chair (seriously...at least attempt to clean it)-Television doesn't work says scrambled channel or weak signal, told front desk but they never came and did anything-Heater vent is full of dust which explains all the lint and dust bunnies hanging from ceiling-Night stand wasn't wiped off and had stuff spilled on it and cup rings that I washed off with wash cloth-Bathroom also not clean. Dirty floor and pee under seat of toilet, shower walls not wiped down.-Food still in the fridge from prior renterJust shocked they would even rent the room out!Told management and they apologized and said they had new housekeeper yesterday but the problem with that is this is months of not cleaning not one day.I have stayed in probably literally hundreds of rooms for my trainings etc. for my work and I think I would have to say this was the worst.

Believe the negative reviews and do not stay here. I think I am done with Wyndham hotels after this stay and I am platinum status. This hotel is very run down and nobody is ever at the front desk waiting to help you. The carpets were all stained, the toilet was running the whole time and I was not about to eat anything from the breakfast. The side entrances are not locked and several rooms are just open and the neighbors across the street were watching us. Along with the door lock missing inside our room and at one point someone tried to enter our room without knocking, it did not feel safe.

Gross! Toilet disgusting, no tissue paper, half roll of toilet paper, coffee in room dispenser, trash from opened coffee supply bag, shower and sink half way clogged with hair and debris, shower dirty, bathroom floor full of hair and debris, dirty pillow and towels, mirror and sink splattered with water or toothpaste splatter, microwave and fridge and coffee machine need a good cleaning! Even the tv was dirty. I scrubbed out the shower and sink before I d let my family use it and cleaned toilet seat and bathroom floor also. Was not about to touch that nasty toilet. Extra security folding flap was missing. Jammed the soiled chair under door handle at night.Noteworthy details: I ve stayed here in past as we visit family ,.. cleanliness has slowly declined but this time was the absolute last time! Never again

The room was clean and acceptable. The bathtub / shower valve only allowed 30% of the water flow to reach the shower head. It needs replacement.Breakfast was awful! Bread and bagels were weeks old, dry & stale, rock hard. The gravy was dried out, no longer liquid and obviously days old.

I found a really good deal for a week which was around $343 including taxes and everything was so smooth and clean. The front desk helped us by asking the housekeeping to give us a hand with our bags and other items.I would love to visit it again

The room was not clean. Tons of scuffs and dirt on the wall and strings of dust hanging from the ceiling. Also, there was no mention of a fee for having a pet on the website, so a 20$ fee at check-in was a bit of a surprise. Would not stay here again.

Bate s Motel, where do I start. Wish there was 0 stars. Promised online rate over phone of $41, charged $58, room was dirty, couldn t use bathroom due to when you turn on the light is squealed so loud you thought something was going to blow up. The sheets had stains, the heater/ac didn t work right, the chairs were ripped & stained and the free breakfast could kill you. Don t stay here, seriously, you will regret it.

We had booked for three nights but ran from this hotel as fast as possible after one night. Our room was dark, dank and smelled bad. Really the whole place was musty and very run down. The carpet felt like it had 30 years of dirt built up in it and had never been cleaned. The bathtub was dirty and we found someone's dirty underwear hanging on the back of the bathroom door!!! Frankly, it was just gross. If it hadn't been late when we arrived, i would not have even stayed one night. Breakfast was a joke. The guy at the front desk mumbled so bad, I had to ask him to repeat himself multiple times before I could understand him at all. I absolutely would NOT recommend this place at all. We went to the Holiday Inn Express in Custer and it was 10000% nicer.

Absolutely the worst experience!! Room was infested with bugs and filthy, bed was broken, wallpaper falling down, room looked like it hadn t been cleaned at all. They charged more than when we booked and we argued with the manager about a refund, still haven t gotten it yet. Manager is extremely rude and unprofessional. Save your money and sanity - do not stay here!!!
