My husband and I have been very happy with Whetzel's Automotive! He recently took my car in that needed a new serpentine belt. Got the appointment within a day or two. They completed the work in one day. Were very reasonable with the price they charged. Nice to have a reliable place where we can take all of our cars. Thank you, Whetzel's! We will be back!

I have used Whetzel's Automotive several times. They try very hard to fix your vehicle to the best of their ability and for a reasonable price. They have state of the art diagnostic equipment and highly trained staff. I highly recommend this honest and proficient company.

What a superb place! We took our car in and these folks went above and beyond to find the problem and fix it in a super efficient manner so our family wouldn t be without a safe vehicle for long! They said it best when we asked them some questions about possible outcomes when they said we are in it for the long haul to make sure we find the problem and get it resolved for you!

I highly recommend Whetzel s Automotive!! Rob (owner) and his staff go above and beyond in customer service and also in communication on any future maintenance your vehicle may need! Their facility is conveniently located in West Columbia and kept very clean! Great atmosphere, great people!

I like to think that each and every day is a gift from God and a clean slate and today the same is true for "Hiro the Highlander"! Yes, I name my cars... Starting today with an oil change at Whetzels Automotive in West Columbia! Cannot say enough good things about these guys! Wonderful people, reliable work and a customer service centered attitude!

I just recently discovered Whetzel's Automotive. This shop is fast, friendly and fair. Great atmosphere, clean and everyone friendly and polite. While waiting for some minor services, I was able to get a 1st hand look at the staff/customer interactions. The team is extremely polite and very positive interactions. Rob the owner is also out and about interacting with his customers. Both my small fleet and my personal auto service needs will be conducted through this shop going forward. HIGHLY recommended if you are not familiar or unhappy with your current service provider.Services: Tires, Oil change

This is the most trustworthy honest group of people I have ever taken my vehicle to. They go above and beyond to make sure I'm taken care of and my vehicle runs with no issues. It's so hard to find good people who won't take advantage of you these days but they are so awesome and great at their jobs from the staff to the workers! Brandon always takes care of me. Looking for a lifetime auto service? Look no further. Take your vehicle to them!

I was highly recommended to bring my car to Whetzel s Automotive to have the Head Gasket replaced along with the timing belt that was advised to be replaced while the engine was disassembled. I worked with Brandon, who was excellent, to schedule the appointment and keep me updated on the progress. My car was with them for about 2 weeks to have everything completed. I now have been driving my car for about 2 -3 weeks since getting it back and no issues or problems at all. A very good experience, great service, fair prices, and definitely would recommend using them for any type of auto repairs you need done. I will be a return customer for sure.Service: Engine repair

I cannot say thank you enough to the owner of this shop for the first time in a very long time I'm riding with air conditioning in my truck. Few weeks ago I left a review that wasn't five stars but I promise you the owner of this shop is sincerely a great person. He came to my work picked up my truck and brought it back better than ever. Thankyou Rob , this review is not thanks enough. I would recommend this shop because it's very hard to find a person who just wants to do right for the customer. Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Totally impressed with the this place, especially Brandon, who manages it. Had a major problem with my F250 doing the death rattle at 60 mph. They figured it out and now my truck runs great with no problems.Service: TiresService: Tires

Had low tire light in my SUV went to one place and was told I would have to leave it. My son suggested Whetzel's Automotive in West Columbia. Pulled up and told them what was going on and they immediately sent someone out to help me. My problem was fixed in no time and was told there was no charge. Have to say they made my stressful HOT Monday a much better day! Thanks to all of you!

Had some issues with communications to start when I had my car brought here. After a bumpy start the team at Whetzel's were able to identify and get my car back up and running and back in my garage. Appreciate the help and for going above an beyond to make sure things ended up right. Whetzel's Automotive took amazing care of our child's (college student) vehicle in an extremely prompt, professional, and knowledgeable manner. This was very important to me as we do not live in Columbia. It is comforting to know that a shop such as Whetzel's is close to USC!!

Had our trucks caytalatic converter go out on us at Chaw chaw bypass on the way home from Beaufort SC on a sunday afternoon. , We were over 200 miles from home. Had our truck towed to them of a reference on that Sunday afternoon .Got a call from them on Tuesday with the details and price..They had our truck done by the following weekend.I would recommend this garage to anyone for any automotive needs.Very friendly and great service .Thank yall very much.Service: Exhaust

Always busy. If a place is not then the reason is they are not any good. I started using this place when I moved here. I have kept going back. They are not super fast in and out. They take the time to do it right. Rush jobs create mistakes. I even get my oil changed here after a certain large retailer put too much oil in my engine. Quality, friendly and convenient to shopping. You want reasonable, quality work? Go there. You want very quick and very cheap? You could do it by going elsewhere. You might have costlier repairs or have to buy a new vehicle. Your choice.

I ve been taking my vehicles to Whetzel s for 3-4 years now. I ve found them to be friendly, courteous, professional and most importantly, honest. They always provide a detailed list of things to be done along with an estimate PRIOR to beginning any work and also contact me promptly if there are any changes or additional work (along with any additional costs) for permission to proceed. While their prices aren t any cheaper than other garages, they are reasonable. I don t mind paying a little more for peace of mind and Whetzel s provides that for me. I have recommended them to all my friends.Service: A/C installation & repair

Whetzel s is the best mechanic I ve been to in Columbia. I needed my power steering fixed in a hurry and they got it fixed perfectly before I expected. Not only that, the customer service was phenomenal- they showed me the issue with my car, were professional and personable, and made the experience great, which is rare sometimes for a car repair place in this area. 6/5 stars, and will certainly be bringing all my business here from now on!
