My father, a professional mechanic for over 50 years, trusted these folks with his vehicles after he was physically unable to do repair work. The mechanics are superior in knowledge and abilities, the repairs are ALWAYS cost appropriate, and the management cares about making sure people are taken care of. I love this business and will bring my vehicles here for repairs as long as I live in the midlands region.

My subie kicked it and needed new front axles. Despite their busy schedule, Richard s accommodated me (I needed it fixed in less than a day due to travel plans) and did the job for a very fair price. They were communicative, honest, realistic about timeline, and accommodating. I will be taking my subie to Richard s from now on.

I went to Richard's for a carburetor adjustment, no cleaning was performed and I was greatly over charged, the mechanic was extremely helpful and very friendly however minimal work was done on the carburator adjustment. No offense to the mechanic, however to the owner who greatly over charged me, sorry but I won't be using your services anymore nor will I refer any of the many car owners I'm affiliated with to do so either. In my book honest service gets repeate customers.Think about that.Thanks Jamie.

Richard's Automotive is just plain awesome. They are the coolest. Mom-and-pop auto repair of the highest-quality just like it ot to be.

My experience at Richard's is an honest professional business.I had a major repair on my rear axle. They ordered all parts and after they started the repair they decided that due to previously hidden heavy wear on my car it wasn't going to be a decent job. In short they could have charged me a fortune for a patched up work but they refused to. I very much appreciated that. They also offered me a free inspection for the new car that I purchased which was greatly appreciated.I definitely recommend them.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment

** Admittedly did not have my own car serviced here**I went with a friend to pick up her car from being serviced and the customer service she received was very disappointing. Her car was taken to this shop late last week and she had not heard from the shop since. She called on Monday morning, and they said it had been fixed on Friday and the cost was $400. We went to pick it up and she expressed while checking out that she was disappointed that no one had reached out to tell her what was wrong with her car or the cost prior to fixing it and that no one had even called to tell her it was finished. The gentleman checking her out got very offended and swore up and down that he had talked to her which she calmly said no to. He kept insisting and verbatim said Well did you not want your car fixed? I can go take that part and you can tow it someplace else then. To which she replied, No, I would have just liked to know the price and issue prior to it being worked on. He was honestly very condescending, defensive, and downright rude. At the end of checking out, he said he was sorry and swore he talked to her, but held the poor attitude. It seems like people have received great service from here and truly enjoy their customer service which is great- but as a young woman, I would not be comfortable bringing my car here at all. Probably best to take your business elsewhere if you don t have a male to come in with you to ensure you won t be treated like a child. Will not take my car to be serviced here, and would never recommend this place. Again, it may work for you! But for young women, I would have to say no. Not worth it.

I visited this place and was told it would be a couple of months before they could work on my car, so I put my name & number on the list. After waiting about 3 months I called and was told it was coming up soon. After another month I called and a mechanic answered and said the boss would call me back. In two weeks I called again and the mechanic said the same thing. I never got a call from anybody. BTW a Classic Car Club in Columbia recommended this place to me saying that was a good place. Great and honest mechanic. When Mark called me with an estimate, after giving me the estimate he said: "the part is difficult to get to and labor is intensive, but if it turns out to be not so difficult and we can do it in less time than figured in the quote, I will come down off the estimate." Well, he actually did! Talk about honest, how many mechanics actually do that? Not many! He could have easily made more money and stuck to the original quote. That says a lot about his integrity! Will be bringing all our fleet vehicles to Richard's Automotive for now on.Services: Engine repair, A/C installation & repair

My experience with Carl and the guys are Richard's Automotive was exceptional. Carl especially was very helpful and instrumental in helping me with a car issue when I was in need. He was able to accommodate every need I had, including holding my car in his lot for days more than he needed to without charge, so that life could be a little less stressful for my wife and me during a very difficult transition in our lives. When the cost of repair for the job I had Richard's doing looked like it was going to be more than usual, Carl gave me a call to check with me before he started the work - even though I had given him permission to go forward with the work. Last time I checked, most shops don't work that way. These guys could have made a lot of money off of me, but instead they truly did what was best for me. I would trust these guys any way with my car. Decent mechanics are a dime a dozen. Men and businesses of integrity are a rare find. Thank you, Carl, for your wonderful help!

Richard's Automotive has definitely earned my business and are now the only mechanic I let touch my platinum F150. Very knowledgeable about cars, extremely friendly and honest, and they all seem like good people... Brought my 4runner here from Mooneyhan s because they couldn t identify the problem. These guys knew what was up over the phone when I explained it and turned out to be 100% right. It was a bit pricier than I expected, but the labor required was something I couldn t have done myself without special tools and expertise, so hats off to them. Way cheaper than a new engine like Mooneyhan s told me I needed.Service: Engine repair

I was having a really odd issue happen with my car and they diagnosed it said advised me the best way to get it fixed, as in where to get the parts and fix it ourselves, which would be cheaper than having them do it.Amazing place and super-friendly and knowledgeable.

Carl and Richard are just great. They have always helped me in my time of need. They also have a great group of mechanics. They are always busy but they will make sure the job is done right

I needed to have my seatbelt replaced. Mark and his technician removed the broken seatbelt and replaced it with a new one in a quick and professional manner! Exceptional customer service to boot!

I had the worst experience ever I was told it was ok to leave my Jeep Cherokee with them and that it would be ok there even though they couldn't fix it I was then told they moved it and I could pick it up from the owners home when I was ready even though I left it there longer than I ever plan to no one called me and I spoke to several different people I was never informed they sold my Jeep I wouldn't advise anyone to in trust Richards automotivePeriod .
