We were in a bind a way behind when Mike and the guys came through!!! Good communication , quick turnaround, and sensible pricing!! Would highly recommend. Really appreciate their courtesy and understanding of my situation!!

Our AC stopped working when we were driving back to Ohio. They got us right in to check things out. When they started the car up, things were working fine. Took it for a test drive and all was still good. Suspected maybe the blower motor is going but didn t want to go on a maybe. Extremely honest, fair and kind. Didn t charge us a thing for their time. (Even gave us suggestions on where to visit on our next trip to South Carolina.) Highly recommend!Service: Air conditioning

Trustworthy auto shop you can take your vehicle to. 4Runner had a rattle noise in the engine bay and had two other mechanics look at it but only Chapman's figured it out and fixed the heat shields. The guys at Chapmans really did right by me , just got my truck back today and she runs like a dream . Brought my truck in for its general maintenance /tune up and the guys went above and beyond to make sure my truck gives me as many miles as possible . there were a few extra unforeseen things that needed to be done but the guys were honest and let me make that decision for myself . This shop is the only one In the area I ll let work on my truck . If you can get your vehicle serviced here , you should do it . It's rare these days to find an automotive shop you can trust, that feels like they really care about YOU and not just what they can pry out of your wallet. Chapman's is a real gem where they take the time to explain what the issue is and give you a fair price for excellent work. It's never fun when your car breaks down, but Mike and the guys at Chapman's will get you back on the road in no time. I only wish I had found them sooner, highly recommended!Services: Engine repair, Brakes

I travel for work and was driving through Columbia on my way to Alabama and I heard my rear wheel bearing starting to get very load and knew it would likely fail before I would get to my destination in Alabama. It was about 3:30pm in the afternoon and I called around and found only one shop that would even agree to see me. This tire shop confirmed that the wheel bearing was bad but stated the repair was beyond their capability. They recommended Chapmans who agreed to look at the vehicle that afternoon which by now was getting close to 5:00pm. Mike Goodwin and Robert Chapman got my vehicle right up on the lift and confirmed the bearing that was required and got one on order that night. What was so exceptional was that Mike Goodwin gave me a ride to the hotel that I decided to stay at! This went well above the service that anyone could expect. The next day around 1:00pm my vehicle was ready to go and Robert Chapman the owner, picked me up at the hotel to bring me back to his shop. I doubt there would be many shops that I could have gone to in Columbia that would have not only fixed my vehicle right away but brought me to my hotel and picked me up! I had an important business meeting in Alabama that I was able to make because of this repair. You just don't see this type of old fashioned customer service anymore so many corporate owned repair shops. Based on my experience I can highly recommend Chapmans. Mr. Chapman and Mike took great care of my sons 2010 Nissan Titan. The rear gear came apart and they quickly diagnosed it and sent me pictures before doing any work. They gave me the best options and repaired it in a timely manner! They were very considerate and honest. I would most definitely use them again!! What can I say?? I ve had my 99 RX300 for 2 years and have had an ongoing issue with my air/fuel ratio giving off heavy gas fumes, terrible mileage, and for the last 6 months limited driveability due to no overdrive and gears not shifting! My go to shop has been working on it, but NOTHING seemed to fix it! Fast forward to me spying this JDM specialty shop on the way to work, so with them specializing in Toyota I figured why not? Within 26 HOURS, they diagnosed my car and got me UP AND RUNNING!! I am so overjoyed to have found a solid shop that did quality and honest work, they communicated with my partner to cross reference past maintenance that was included in my folder I dropped off with the vehicle, and did not break my neck on price!! So glad to say no other shops will EVER touch my car again!!! Mike and Robert are GEMS and they have definitely earned a repeat customer!!! I have been doing business with Robert Chapman for about a decade, and I can't say one thing negative about him or his technicians or the wonderful service through the years. I have taken four different cars to Robert through the years and am always happy with the work. Robert is honest and fair and doesn't try to sale you something that you don't need, but he is also very conscious of safety and will point out necessary repairs that will keep me and my wife safe. I have referred several people to Robert and all of them are always very happy with the service. I can't imagine going anywhere else to have my cars repaired and maintained.

The guys at Chapman auto Tech took took my 5.3 out of my Tahoe And put a brand new engine in..... Mike kept In constant contact with me throughout the process . I have complete trust in and Mike and the rest of the guys at Chapman's they are an awesome crew

Chapman's has, by far, given me the best experience that I have ever had with an auto repair shop. They are extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and willing to help in any way that they can when it comes to your needs. I would recommend Chapman's to anybody and everybody !! They're A #1 in my book.

Honest Auto Repair at a Fair Price. Mr. Chapman has been fixing my cars for over 15 years. He stands behind his work. I've never had a complaint. He will tell you what needs to be fixed now (to be safe) and what can wait. Specialty is Japanese cars: Honda, Toyota, Nissan.

These guys are amazing! My husband and I are Toyota fanatics and have been working to rebuild our 1998 RAV4 4wd for about three years now. This car is our baby. Well, after rebuilding the motor, rebuilding the transmission, we discovered the hub bearing was bad on the front passenger side. Turned to someone we thought knew what they were doing to get a new spindle and bearing pressed in(for free), and of course cracked the spindle knuckle in the press. I was devastated. So, because all 4wd Rav's with abs are still currently on the road unless they're in really bad shape, I had to buy a brand new knuckle straight from the dealer bare bones. I told Chapman's about my situation and, not only did they agree to help me, they went above and beyond to ensure it was done right with a new seal and everything. Robert and Mike stayed late getting it done for me the same day and I got it back ASAP for incredibly reasonable pricing. I feel like I've known them for years and they took my really stressful situation and made me feel so comfortable. I knew I went to the right place. I am a customer for life. Robert and Mike, you guys are awesome! Thanks for everything!

Years Before I started taking my car too Chapmans Auto Tech, I always had a strange unsure feeling about all Auto shops. I felt the Auto Shops would fix the problem I came in for but cause another problem for me to come back.I will never forget, I was recommended to Chapmans Auto Tech by a Auto Dealer who could not resolve the problem with my 2012 Suzuki.Over several years now Chapman Auto Tech have been serving my car and I have no doubt just confident that my car and I will be respected.Thanks! Very capable mechanics, doing a great job on the many repairs needing to be done! I felt my car might be beyond fixing due to it's condition and age. 20years old and 370,000+ miles....with the check engine light on the entire time I have owned it anyway. It idled roughly, had no pick up, didn't want to switch gears smoothly, you name it. They accurately diagnosed and repaired all it's problems and now she runs smoothly and amazingly well! Hats off to the team! OBVIOUS best auto repair in town! Don't be disappointed with other shops - take it to CHAPMAN'S AUTO TECH on Platt Springs Rd. first! No run-around and and EXCELLENT in every way.

I have used Chapmans for over 15 years and he has never disappointed me with his service and repairs. If you want to preserve your older vehicles, and looking for an honest mechanic with integrity, I wouldn't recommend you go anywhere else.

These guys are knowledgeable, honest and dependable. Very quick turn around on work and great quality repairs! They always give me all my options before doing work, And always use quality parts. I would highly recommend them from everything from routine oil changes to complete engine rebuilds! A+

I would not reccomend. Says they specialize in imported vehicles but obviously not. I was having issues with a window in an older 3 series BMW and took it there to be fixed. After being charged the entire $350 for the service I was told that I would need another piece for the window to be fully functional and that it would be at the shop the following week. Here we are an entire month later...............and three calls later after calling to see if I would be able to use my window since of course that's what I paid for. I am a 20 year old woman and don't know too much about the mechanics of the car. When I went to visit a friend of mine he let me know that the button to put the window down had been put in backwards/upside down. What???? You specialize in foreign cars but obviously don't know what you're doing??? It is a common problem, so common they said they had the parts on hand because it happens so frequently. After returning a second time my window has still not been fixed properly and I have received no type of call, explanation or compensation. I have since filed a claim to dispute the charges

It has been two months since I first went to Chapman's Auto Tech. I can say it has been a bit of a roller coaster ride but Chapman's have been with me the whole time. They have gone above and beyond the call of duty and I can honestly say they care about their customers and their cars. My car is running better than I expected. Thank you Robert, Mike and the rest of the techs at Chapman's auto you are in a class by yourself.
