The most impressive thing about MEINEkE is the service is always timely I have such trust in them that I go get the I need, but never feel like I am being pressured to get a service I did not want. The great part is they keep good records and let you know if your car needs services but they never pressure you into buying something else like tires and batteries. I honestly like them and I am poor senior who has to watch my budget. Thank everyone for me

The service at Meineke was an eye opening experience. It started off great I went in for an oil change and brakes service on my car. However after they were done with my car the lady at the front said that the battery was low and that they had a hard time starting up the car and that I would need a new battery. I was honest and told her I did not have any money and the most I could do was 50 to 100. She did some research and could not find a battery that fit my price range. She advised me to go to Walmart and get a battery and then come back. I went to Advance Auto for a second opinion, they ran a diagnostic on my battery and it turns out that my battery was in great condition and did not need a replacement. Over all I felt like the staff at Meineke was trying to take advantage of me and I will not be back for a future service.

My car was having an issue shutting off when it was left idle and when driving, it felt like it would just shut off. I was also loosing oil too quickly. I took my car to a couple shops to figure out what was going on and no one was able to figure it out therefore a waste of money. My grandmother recommended Meineke on Wade Hampton so I took it in and it only took them an hour or so to figure out what was going on and fix the issues! My car has been running smoothly since then! I m so grateful for them! I travel a lot so my car is essential to me so thank you so much! Definitely will be going back to them in future!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR ANY REASON!!!!!!On October 27th 2023 I took my car in after the check engine light popped on. I had roughly $5,000 dollars worth of work done (gaskets, sparkplugs, compressor etc.) on a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Two days post-picking up the car from service at this location, the engine light came on flashing with catastrophic damage. Got the Jeep towed to the Big O Dealership and they let me know there was an obstruction in the cylinder... after the tear down they found an intake bolt in the engine cylinder THAT WAS LEFT BY MEINEKE. John from Meineke continued to gaslight me and not take responsibility (they still havent apologized to this day) for totaling my engine. They blamed everyone they possibly could and even cited manufacturer error?!? Thankfully after weeks of phone calls and having to get legal support, their insurance reached out to me for an investigation that they were found at fault for the damage.BUT THE AUDACITY BY THIS SHIP OF FOOLS CONTINUES......They went ahead and installed a new engine without consulting me at all... no phone call, email, message nothing which i think might be a crime ( I was going to use BIG O Dodge to install and procure my new engine) and they filled the engine with incorrect coolant.Luckily Big O Dodge inspected before any damage could be done. On this day 2-7-2024 i finally have a working vehicle almost four months later. Countless ubers, rental cars, and stress bumming rides that will never be recoupped.End of story Dont. Use. This. My mom went here and they charged her over 16oo for a new cat...yes 1 cat to a 07 nissan xterra and a radio bezel (100 bucks new). She got into a wreck and flipped the car and I cut the cats off today and It was a FAKE CAT. IT WAS HOLLOWED OUT, ON THE OUTSIDE IT LOOKED NEW... NOTHING ON THE INSIDE THO, JUAN STATED, "I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT"....JUAN IF YOU GIVE MY MOM BACK SOME OF HER MONEY THAT ADDS UP, ILL SURELY REMOVE THIS REVIEW

Had an unusual issue with my car a few months ago, on top of logistical difficulties on my end. John & his team helped me through everything at a moment s notice, and with very thorough communication regarding my vehicle s condition. I was back on the road sooner than expected, and plan to go back to continue more minor work as I m able. Tysm!!

Charges 4% credit card fee and does not accept checks. This is disclosed on an obscure piece of paper taped to the back of the register. When I came to pick up the car I was told that the charge of $23.97 would be added to my $798 bill if I used my Visa card.WHO WALKS AROUND WITH $800 in cash at 3 in the afternoon? My bank is 5 miles away on a busy street on a rainy day when they have my car hostage.Had I been notified in advance I could have made arrangements to pick up the cash.All this and there was an unspecified $45 fee added to the original amount.THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS for a company like Meineke.BEWARE if these practices.The repair seems OK and was on time but it doesn't make up for the rest.

Juan and his team are great at what they do. I have taken several cars there over the years and they always come through on making the repair. Certain repairs tend to take more time than others as the problems is not always evident. I recently had an electrical short which caused problems with my AC and other components. Juan patiently tracked the issue to a small frayed wire on bottom of engine. His patience and no quit attitude fix the issue that no one else could. These guys are very fair, knowledgeable, and get the job done. I highly recommend them.

I ve taken my car to Juan & Rodrigo at Meineke for many years. I followed them from Greer to their Taylors location. They have always been through with fair prices. They have never tried to add on up charges & I appreciate that. Several times I thought there might be a major issue & they diagnosed & fixed a small problem. Never been to a Meineke before. Usually go to one of the other express ones but was passing by here and there wasn t a wait.The other ones I go to you just pull up and drive in and with this one I pulled up to the oil change bay and they waved me in just like normal.As soon as I pulled in some guy came out of the office saying I can t do that really aggressively. When I told him that they waved me in he just kept repeating that I can t do that and that I have to back the car out and then go to the office and they would pull the car in.Now I know why there wasn t a wait for this place it has awful customer experience. Once the guy was done fussing I just got in the car and left.I always have a good experience at the 10 Minute place and will continue going there instead of this awful place. Please take your business elsewhere and be appreciated.

Required a 19 point car safety inspection for my newly acquired Uber vehicle. Walked in after a quick advance phone call to confirm they weren't to busy. My car was handled immediately upon arrival and i was back on the road within a half hour of my arrival. Once again it was great service and as always, a very friendly staff.

Was extremely pleased with all of my interactions today with the people of Meineke ,the mechanics found other issues (with my 30 year old car)...that needed to be addressed.....and even though the mechanics were extremely busy,(as it was Saturday)....they took the time to come n tell ,and to, throughly explain these other issues,even taken me into the bay to show me what he was referring to....I sincerely appreciate the time and effort they gave my vehicle....I would give them a "10" if I could ,on service.....maybe a 6 on price/cost......overall ....would recommend Meineke to any n all!!!

I went in and got some work done on my 4Runner. I got new breaks and rotors. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. As far as price it was fair and I paid exactly what I was quoted. Services were performed quickly and professionally. All staff were friendly and offered fair advice without pressure for service. Pricing was the issue. Was supposed to be around $35 for oil change. I did not have any extras and ended up paying around $47. For $47, I will just go to one of the places where I don t leave my vehicle. Took my 2002 Dodge Ram for differential repairs and the guy was super great didn t rip me off. About 2 weeks later I had engine problems. Turned out my truck is dead but he didn t charge me at all and got it running so I could take it home. We use this service center for fleet work vehicles, they always fit us into the schedule in a timely manner and have a good turnaround rate. They have good hours of operation and do good work in a reasonable amount of time. Have used their services three times now and been happy each time.

I was not pleased with my experience. I went in for an A/C diagnostic test. I was quoted 85.00 for the test. I handed my keys over and waited for over an hour. The mechanic came out and stated that I was out of Freon. He stated that I owed 264.00 for the repair. I was flabbergasted at the cost!! I did not agree for my car to be repaired but only to be inspected. I felt like I had no choice but to pay the price he quoted me since he did complete the job. I wasn t given a choice if I wanted to spend that amount for the repair. He took it upon himself to fix it. He never consulted with me first. It s the cliche thing to say but woman are always taken advantage when it comes to car repairs.Service: Auto A/C recharge

I called and asked on the phone how much a conventional oil change was. She gave me a quote, okay. I get there and fill out the paper and she then decides to tell me that they don't do conventional and that their "conventional" was synthetic blend. I would have appreciated being told that before hand and not deceived into coming in. By the time she said that we had already checked in and I felt it was too late to back out. Knowingly deceptive, would not recommend at all.Service: Oil change

I was ripped off. I specifically asked how much and oil change was . The clerk told me 3 different packages . I chose the package for $56 dollars when they rung me up they charged me $30 extra dollars of hidden fees that were not mentioned when I specifically asked. It brought my total to $86 for AN OIL CHANGE. I asked the clerk why it was $86 she gave the terrible excuse that it s the oil they use .Don t go here . Take your clientele some where else. Scam artists . They have oil changes advertised for $35 dollars which is simply not the truth .Service: Oil change

The customer service was very unprofessional. My first call was asking the owner do they work on cars if the parts are supplied and he stated yes, which is why I brought my car here. Once I brought the car the run the diagnostic and advise me of what was wrong with the car which is what I already told them. I then received estimates. The estimates were way over priced for parts that were already purchased. When we then price match they still try to over charge me and was VERY rude. The customer service rep over talked while I was trying to explain how his pricing made no sense after the price match. When I ask them not to work on the car, he over talk me again and continue to ask when I was coming to get the car. They closed in 20 minutes so I'm unsure how the customer service rep thought I could get someone there to tow the car back home before they closed. I was trying to give them a chance but the customer service was just unprofessional. The rep spoke to me like I knew nothing about cars and that he was over charging me.

FRAUDULENT, DISHONEST OWNERS!!! *Beware Ladies*As I am typing this review, I am so frustrated and hurt by my experience with this establishment. I can only hope and pray that the other ladies waiting on their vehicles with me that day, did not fall victim to these deceitful people.Quoted me for over $2000 in repairs needed! They told me I would have to spend $1400 on new valve gasket alone. After gathering my composure, I left and made the wise decision to take my car to Euro Cars for a second opinion. Turns out, Meineke didn t even have the proper tool to do a diagnostic test on my Volvo, in which they charged me $80, first lie. Euro Cars let me know that there was NO leak involving the valve gasket AT ALL, it was intact and working properly!!! So where was the $1400 going to Meineke?? The only damage was actually on Meineke for using the wrong oil!!! I can t believe the dishonesty and lack of integrity this place has, should be criminal. Shame on you John and your whole staff. Your business will not thrive when you falsify jobs and steal money, I will make sure to tell everyone I know. My car is now repaired, and I still have my $1400 in the bank. Took my vehicle in because my brake pedal was going to the floor. After inspection and $42.00 charge I was told it was the master cylinder and was quoted $450.00.!! I took it to a friend who is not a mechanic, he bled the brakes and now they work like new! Took about 45 minutes SHAME ON MEINEKE. People like me need service they can trust.Service: Brakes

Oil Change clearly listed for $69.99 full synthetic yet total bill was $91.56. When questioned I was told my car took 5.4 quarts of oil, and had misc fees of $13.89 and taxes of $4.05 making my total the $90+. I have never paid that much for an oil change. Had to find a $20 off coupon that was sent to me via email to get the total down. I thought I would walk out paying around $50 according to their advertisement and signs inside the place. while there the service guy backed a car up into another car.
