Long story short ..... My Truck suffered a mishap at a franchised tire & break center causing a whole break down of my breaking system ($4800 worth of maintenance) Curtis the service lane manager (Ford) comes to my place of employment an knows of my situation. Curtis convinces me to bring the truck to his place of employment. Simply put it was the best decision I've made this year so far. George the CSR was in constant communication with me the ENTIRE time with Curtis. I'M truly Thanksful for the fast turn around, all the communication and just plain knowing that my vehicle was being done RIGHT was a great state of peace for me. Ford of Summerville now has a customer for as long as I'm here THANK YOU again Curtis/George an staff your VERY much so Appreciated

My experience with Summerville Ford service department was exemplary! My Focus sat at Palmetto Ford for almost eight months with no attempt to get it fixed. The treatment I received from Summerville totally changed my mind in future interactions with Ford for the better. I am grateful that they were able to get my car back to me in a speedy manner and all issues resolved. In one week they were able to complete what Palmetto Ford wouldn't start. Thank you Summerville Ford for all of your kindness and service!

Frank ( from Peru)was my service attendant, he was very polite, friendly and helpful! He went the extra mile to see if my car was near to be done, and also I was in a fender bender 2 days prior and he helped to see in the parts department how much the cost of a new bumper ( to get an idea) what possible cost maybe before I take it to collision center for estimate. I also saw his abilities to translate in Spanish to another customer so she understood the work on her car! My oil change went great! I was also updated that my filter needed replacement! Thank you for the wonderful service! Will definitely come back again! I am from PA and visiting my family!

This long overdue maintenance check up on my 2020 Ford Ecosport was through and professional y done. George was extremely helpful. The shuttle service allowed me to complete chores at home rather than sitting at the dealership. The shuttle driver was very knowledgeable of rush hour traffic so use an alternate route that got us back to the dealership to pick up my vehicle that had beenService d and ready as promised.I had an opportunity to visit my friends Thomas and miss A.Good Friday was exactly that.Keep up the good workg

Deb Simard is awesome. She had my Maverick fully service, to include 2 recall notices and a software update and back on the road again in no time. She is also very pleasant to speak with. My truck and I are in good hands with her. It's this kind of service department that keeps customers coming back when it's time to buy again. Thank you Deb & Summerville Ford for being true customer service.

I was confused about the appointment being a place in line vice the time work would begin on my truck but the dealership was very flexible with my schedule and I was able to get some things completed while keeping my place in line. The work was completed professionally and I am back on the road. I would recommend hiring more mechanical technicians or at least be very clear when customers are making appointments that a week or more may pass before the vehicle is even evaluated for service.

I had a recall notice and the service and parts dept had to take an extra effort, and ordered an additional part to make sure everything went correctly, with no future surprises later on. They got things right the first time and that s the way it should be.

Service advisor was most helpful. Car was not ready at the end of the day but she found me a loaner to drive, even though someone else told me there was none available, hence the four star rating. Thank you Miss Johnson.

First let me say that Julie Weathers was outstanding and an asset to your company. I would imagine due to the service techs she deals with she catches a lot of grief from customers. When I brought my truck in I was told that the techs were a week out due to work load. It was a week and a half before they even looked at my truck . I was told what it needed and I approved the repairs immediately. My truck was put back outside and it was another 4 days before they worked on it again. They at this time found another problem with my plugs and they needed to be replaced and again I approved immediatly. Again put back outside for a couple days before repaired. In total what I thought would take a couple weeks took one day shy of 3 weeks. Your pricing is ridiculous. The first parts because I don t know how much time it takes on them I accepted but to change 6 plugs for almost $600 is outrageous. I don t think your service techs because they don t deal with the public l realize the hardship they put on a livelihood when they take as long as they do to make repairs. Due to the additional time it took to get my truck back it cost me approximately $800 of not being able to work. It is obvious to me that the service techs run the operation. I know this is long but most people can t do without there vehicle that long. Luckily I m retired and work for myself but had to shut down during this period. I say all this to let you know that my first experience with Summerville Ford was not a good one. Again I repeat that Julie was exceptional and kept me informed best she could with what info she was getting from the techs. Just one final note it only takes about an hour tops to change 6 plugs, maybe y all need to adjust your pricing book on some items. Thanks for reading and listening to my rant.James Inabnett

Franco is the best. Brought my f150 in for a battery replacement and while the vehicle was in service he went ahead and took care of one recall and ordered the parts for the other one without being asked to. He truly looks out and cares about his clients. Thanks again, Franco

Sheduled my truck for an oil pan gasket leak and a driveline popping noise. Appointments were booked out for 3 weeks. Once my appointment time came and I dropped my truck off, I was then told my truck could sit for up to a week before they had a chance to look at it. I was told no loaner vehicles were available. The technician began working on my truck on a Friday morning. I was told the truck would be ready by Friday afternoon. Friday afternoon came and I was told the truck would be ready for pick up Saturday, as the tech was working Saturday. Saturday passed. I went up to the dealer on Monday to see why the truck was not completed on Saturday. The tech had only drained the oil in the truck. After causing a fuss about the truck sitting on the lift for 4 days with no progress, a loaner vehicle magically appeared. I did not get my truck back until Wednesday afternoon.

They had my car over a month for transmission issues. Finally got my car back, 3 days later the car just cut off on me on the highway. Waste of time and money. I only gave them 2 stars bc my advisor was sweet

I brought my car in for a full transmission flush. I described the symptoms the vehicle was experiencing and shared research I had done from Other Ford repairman on this issue. I made an appointment and brought the car in and the work was completed. My main complaint is that nobody did a test drive to see if those symptoms in the transmission were still occurring. I got the car home and was still experiencing the problem. I was asking for them to check it out and see if the flush helped and let me know if there s anything else I needed to do. I wish they had checked it out before returning the car to me. Now back to square one.

I had some warranty items that needed to be taken care of. They got me in quickly and did the job in a reasonable amount of time. I also went the extra mile and helped me by removing a necklace had gotten stuck in the steering wheel.

My service advisor, Wayne, was very professional throughout this process. He advised me early on that completing the work on my truck would take about 1 month. He kept me informed along the way as to what was transpiring.

My experience with this company and their communication was subpar. They are dishonest, charged me for services not done, and the service manager, Curtis, has extremely poor customer service! Each individual that I dealt with passed the buck and Courtney was never available to discuss the issue of the Ford Focus. All Around TERRIBLE

I had a very bad experience with Summerville Ford. My car sat on their lot for 2 weeks before they even touched it. I was not offered a loaner and when I asked they told me there wasn t one available. I just went to pick up my vehicle this past Saturday and it runs like garbage. I barely made it up the road to Lidl s parking lot out of traffic because the warning light came on along with the engine light saying that my transmission was overheating. The car was dragging real bad. Yes, my car had a slight drag, but it always changed gears. I have driven my car to Florida and back in the past and to North Carolina and back with that same drag without anything overheating or any light coming on. I ve had to catch rides to work for the last 2 weeks and here I am for the 3rd week without my vehicle and catching rides to work. I am very disappointed. I thought that because this was a bigger lot and because my car is actually a Ford that things would have been a LOT smoother.

Made an appointment for service over the phone with Summerville Ford for what turned out to be an O2 sensor. The guy I spoke to was pleasant and gave me a Thursday appointment at 1pm. I dropped the car off on Wednesday night using the after hours drop box. I did not hear anything by Friday afternoon so I went to the service dept because I was right next door anyway. Upon walking in the service bay, a man behind one of the service desks looked up at me and quickly turned his back to me so I proceeded to another desk where I was warmly greeted by a friendly female (I was the only customer in there) She looked up my vehicle and told me that Tom was my service advisor. She then walked me to Tom (the guy that didn t acknowledge my existence), who told me that they had not touched my vehicle yet and that it would be Monday before it was complete (wish I would have known this beforehand as I also needed to have the oil changed). When I left, I decided to call Tom back and just have them do the oil change instead of my regular service shop that I use for routine maintenance. On Monday, when I didn t hear anything back, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and wait until Tuesday. My week got busy with work, so I didn t get around to checking on it until Thursday morning where Tom said that they still had not touched it and that they have been very busy. I then proceeded to tell Tom, that I would just come pick up the vehicle in which he said to give him a few minutes to talk to the technician. 15 minutes later, Tom calls me with a quote for over $1200 for the O2 sensor, coolant flush and oil change plus $199 for the diagnostic charge (which took less than 15 minutes). I told Tom to NOT repair it, or do the oil change and I would just come pick it up. He proceeded to tell me that the O2 sensor was over $300 (insane price). After we hung up, he called me back about 30 minutes later and told me that He spoke to the service manager and they got the price down to just under $1000 . I still refused as it took them a week to even touch it, less than 15 minutes to diagnose it, and still charged over $200 (with tax) for the diagnostic service. A reputable shop down Dorchester road is handling the repair for around $300. I typically do not leave adverse feedback like this, and use it only for my future decision making practices, but after Summerville Ford sent me two requests via text for a review, and a friend saying that maybe Summerville Ford is not aware of such practices within their organization, I decided to post this. I hope it helps someone, and certainly hope it helps Summerville Ford do better. I ve been a Summerville native my whole life, and my dad used Summerville Ford for years. This was my first experience, and I suspect my last.

There is NO service after the sale. The service department is ridiculous. I was told I had to make an appointment to get an oil change which I did. When driving up my appointment was confirmed by the service representative. Then I was told that it would take up to 2-hours even though I had an appointment. I was initially told that by making an appointment I would be in and out in less than an hour. Definitely didn t happen.

My experience was very disappointing. I bought a used car from them.A 2019 Nissan had some recall took the car to Nissan the found the following thing wrong. The drive Belt. Brake fluid dark and the engine mount. My appointment was at 8:30 I arrived at 8:20. They had me waiting for 7 hours until they fix my car. The manager Tony Wager act like he didn t care at all. The point is I have not paid my first payment yet.

My recent service appointment at Summerville Ford was not a good experience. I had made service appointments for my: Ford SAV and Dodge RAM truck. My appointments were scheduled for the 1st of March 2024 (SAV: 0900 a.m. and truck 10:00 a.m.) for oil & oil filter change. On Friday morning, I got to my appointment on time and was immediately advised my first vehicle would not start until 11:30 a.m. due to there being 5 cars ahead of my SUV and the second vehicle at 10:00 a.m. appointment would be in the afternoon. No heads up were given of this back log was given to me in advance which I could have made other plans or rescheduled. Personally, I had work meetings in the afternoon, and I had to take off an additional 4 hours i.e., now, the whole day in which I had to reschedule my business client appointments. This is not a good business model for this car dealership and services department in support of their loyal customers. Bryn who was my service representative and his supervisor were professional and courteous with me during this event and worked with me to receive a ride to and from my home but blow my day out conducting my business day which is the reason I am responding to this survey. Please do better for your customers in the future.Chuck

I will say that the staff onsite is very kind & helpful. However, they're so booked you can not make an appt to have a simple oil change & wait you HAVE to drop off. I scheduled a drop off for 2:30 but was able to bring it closer to 12, since that's when my ride was available. I was told they would try to have it ready by 3 & call me (I understand that is not a guarantee). When I still hadn't heard anything at 5:15pm I had to call them & left a msg for the tech. They returned the call at 5:32 to tell me they thought it would now be ready by 6 if I wanted to go now to get it before they closed or just come in the morning. It is difficult to plan rides & make time to actually care for my vehicle when ther e is no real schedule/timeline. You're required to make an appointment but they are not required to uphold a time frame. Many places offer these services in a more timely manner.

DO NOT AND WILL NOT do any business with Summerville Ford! You might as well call these people. Scam artists because that's exactly what they're going to do to you! Do not let anybody in that service center. Touch your vehicle. They will charge you double and take twice as long! We bought two cars from them a year and a half ago and have had nothing but problems. It took them 3 days to do a simple oil change because no one in the service center could drive a stick shift. Most recently they had my husband's car there for 16 days and did absolutely nothing and kept on telling us it wasn't accepted under the warranty. Which by the way, we bought the premium package, but they were checking to seeing what they were going to do for us or could do for us which was absolutely nothing but wasting our time wasting our energy and we were the ones following up not them! I could name names but all you have to do is look up and see the service manager and the service staff to see these people who I'm talking about. We were trying to be patient and extend grace hoping that if it still wasn't covered under warranty even though it should that they would least come and compromise halfway on their labor since the labor cost they do control but, they were not willing to even do that. They can't do the right thing. I guess customer service really is a thing of the past and I'm so tired of hearing so many people's excuses. We took the car right next door to Gerald's. They fixed it the same day fractions of the price! Save your time. Save your future money and save your family. All the frustration in the world. Stay far away from this lot. Stay far away from North Charleston Hudson Nissan since they are an affiliated with Summerville Ford cuz they don't mind selling you a lemon to make a buck.

Can t say enough about how appreciative I was with how Wayne Miller kept me in the loop and made sure I was professionally taken care of, Wayne the shop manager doing everything he could to find out what was wrong with my truck and Braxton who worked on my truck. Even after my ticket was closed and I took my truck home Wayne reached out a few days later to check in. If that s not top notch customer service I don t know what is. Thank you very much for you re help and expertise!!
