MQB engine/transmission mounts design flaws prompted return. The cp-e engine and transmission mounts for the VW/Audi MQB platform were shipped quickly and well packaged.Unfortunately they have a few design flaws. The engine mount bolts used to attach to the frame rail are positioned such that they cannot be torqued to spec with the OEM torque-to-yield bolts. (See picture) cp-e told me that hand-tight installation will be fine I do not agree with this recommendation, the advice also contradicts their installation manual. The engine mount lacks a mounting point for the washer reservoir found in the Mk7 Golf R/8V Audi S3 cp-e told me that when they were manufacturing the part they saw no reason for the mounting point so they deleted it.One bolt that is used to secure the battery tray in place is inaccessible once the tray is installed, so that the securing nut cannot be attached. The second bolt for securing the battery tray was too thick to fit through the battery tray, and not long enough.I ordered the 55 durometer mounts which cp-e advertises as being for comfort and will give you very little noticeable increase in vibrations . I found the sound volume in the cabin increased 7 dB from the previous aftermarket mounts and made driving the car unpleasant due to the higher volume and vibrations that resulted.cp-e customer service was below expectations. When I contacted them concerning the issues I encountered it took over nine days to get answers. During the wait I called their customer service and they promised to get back to me the following day with answers, two days later I had not heard from them so I reached out again.I advised them that due to the issues encountered I wanted to return the products. They stated that Our return policy is for unused/uninstalled parts only. Unfortunately the issues were significant enough that using the mounts was unacceptable and I sent them back and requested a refund. cp-e stated that "This was an unauthorized return" and they would discuss with management how they would proceed. After filing a purchase dispute with the payment processor I received a refund from cp-e.I do not recommend these parts, or doing business with Custom Performance Engineering.

Minor issue resolved in a Major way. These folks went above and beyond. Their product is quality top to bottom. I will not buy from anyone else going forward.I bought fuel rails for my 2007 GT500 and could not be happier. I would especially like to mention Kelly for her outstanding customer service and support !!!

Custom Performance Engineering products are great, it s their support that s terrible. I sent 3 emails asking for a single piece of replacement hardware, also stating I was completely willing to pay whatever was needed to cover costs and shipping. I included copies of my sales receipt for clarity. Literally a single nut that I was willing to pay any price for. Absolutely nothing in response. Crickets. Zero. I may as well have been emailing my dog. I ended up fabricating my own and it s been fine since. I ll take my money to their competitor who responded the same day to an enquiring email. Byyyyeeeeee!!!!

I bought one of CPE's intercoolers for my Focus ST. The intercooler arrived unfinished, welds covering bolt holes, helicoils sticking out the top of threaded holes, holes threaded in a different size that instructions say they are. Overall very unsatisfactory quality control. I had to hire a machinist to finish the intercooler so their provided bracketry would fit. I spoke to George, he admitted that there was a bad batch of unfinished intercoolers floating around out there. He promised me that he would find a solution to this and ensured that I would be satisfied amd that i would recieve a call back the following week. Since that phone call with George two weeks ago, he hasn't called me back. I have called customer service three times since then and left messages. It's fair to say they are blatantly ingorning me now. They admitted they sold bad intercooler and now it seems they aren't going to fix the issue. The good thing is I live an hour away from their manufacturing facility. In the next week or two I will be heading down there with my intercooler and demand a solution. I will update my Google review after my face to face customer experience with CPE. I refuse to be ignored as a paying customer.Update: They sent me a check for $200 for my custom machining bill. Keep in mind, this intercooler cost me over $750 with an 8% military discount. Am I satisfied? Honestly no, I cannot believe the amount of trouble I've went through for this. Why is it so difficult to make a quality product? Why would a company cause so much trouble for customers that are paying almost $1k for ONE item? Am I ready to move on from this disastrous purchasing experience? Absolutely. As I mentioned before, I will never purchase anything made by this manufacturer again. They totally blew it with me. This company is operating on borrowed time. They won't make it much longer by producing absolute garbage products.

From my personal experience this company has been fantastic I have their catback exhaust system on my Ford Fusion and their stage 2 motor mount. The motor mount is fantastic and has been for over a year I believe now, small bump in nvh (which is expected) but a big help in wheel hop & cornering. The exhaust system is freaking amazing really i m surprised there s not more reviews. Shoutout Juliya from sales, you rock!

Purchased catback system for my son's speed3. Exhaust failed within 3 years. Contacted the company for a warranty claim. Sent pictures of the failure. Company was supposed to replace but required that the original parts first be sent to them for inspection before they replace it. This would render the car undriveable while they make decision. Completely unreasonable.Terrible experience. Beware

The build quality of their parts is top tier. Everything I've purchased so far fits perfectly and is robust. Even their packaging is on another level. Seriously, I never thought I'd get so excited over packaging but you're basically guaranteed to never have damage due to shipping. All products also include a step by step installation guide (WITH pictures) as well as a parts list. Sure you'll have to pay a bit more than their competitors but it's well worth it for quality American made products. Not only are their products amazing but their customer service is the best I've seen in years. Very informative, polite, and helpful. You won't be disappointed with CP-E.

This small company produces some of the best performance products on the market, while keeping their customer service and satisfaction at a high level. My personal experience was when I ordered a new plexiglass cover for the air intake on my Focus st. I opened the package and it was cracked. I shot an email out informing them of the issue and I received a new one in a couple of days with a t-shirt and some decals with the new cover.I am now a diehard customer for life!Keep doing what you do!

Both times I ordered parts from them a fmic and exhale kit for my focus st it took months to receive the items. Zero communication. When the parts do come they are mediocre at best my exhale kit barely fits and the inside weld was super sloppy. My fmic is ok quality but very disappointed

Beware of 5 star reviews. the 1 stars are the real truth.DONT SPEND MONEY HERE. once they get your money they dont care. every thing they sell is overpriced but that is besides the point. this is worst company i had to deal with since the post office... if you ever need after sales support call your gpa or nana you will get farther. 6 calls and no one got back to me. finally after asking why no one could help me they got anthoney messina the ceo to find out what size is the flange there 1000$ manafold takes i bought from them and they told me to call someone else. they told me to call the turbo manufacturer (pte) to find out the id od flange dimentions on my cpe manafold because i wasent important enuf. this was his actual words. WT literal F how would the turbo manufacturer know the manafold dimentions....this is the guy with ceo under his title on the web site. he has no time for his customersthat keep his buisness going. ive had better experiences on the phone with amazon or the irs...he dosent care because im not spending money. and no one in the whole company could answer me so i got him and got no where.

These guys are experienced in all things RS. I went to CPE to troubleshoot an idling issue that Ford couldn't figure. Mitch was able to resolve the problem, fix/replace my seals, tune and dyno my motor. The engine has 20K miles so far and no issues since. I recently had Mitch e-tune my car for WMI and it has made my car even more enjoyable to beat on. The turn-around time was longer than expected but for the attention-to-detail, I still highly recommend.

Customer service has been horrible from this company. I ve called them multiple times and sent an email weeks ago with no reply. I purchased a Stage 2 RMM for a Focus ST and its supposed to be high quality. The bushings have cracked and the RMM hasn t held up at all. For how expensive the part was definitely not worth the buy

Parts are ok quality. My really too expensive turbo inlet pipe ripped and after spending hours trying to have this exchanged I realised there's no real warranty. Needless to say I will never buy from them again.

These guys and gals are awesome!! Started working with them as a supplier about a year and some-odd months ago. Everyone is down to earth like you would expect but with an abundance of knowledge with a great trust factor. Keep it up guys! Great work!!
