I always go to Bolton James for my tire and alignment needs. I had one truck that was difficult to align and they had no problem aligning it. They are always nice and give you the best price. I recommend anyone who needs tires to give them a call.

This place is the real deal and the reviews prove it. My son has a lowered vehicle that needed an alignment and tires. Of course other places would sell him tires but were unable to do the alignment due to how low the car sits. They took care of him that day, no questions asked. He even told me how nice everybody was to him. So i decided to give them a try as a tire on our vehicle got a nail in the sidewall. They were very professional in explaining the severity of a side wall puncture. Also they were able to get me a tire to match the others, which was an offbrand tire. I am very pleased and most definitely will return for all tire and suspension needs.THANK YOU!!

I was referred to them by a friend, he said they are the best around. He wasn't kidding, they are awesome! I got new rims on my 2027 Vet, they had to true up my old tires to the new rims. it took them a few times to get it right, but they only charged me once. the last time the owner (Jonathon) spent time with my Vet and got the tires perfect. I would highly recommend them for any work on your vehicle. Also, I got prices at 3 different shops, they were by far the cheapest

Called a day ahead and was told to drop my car off at 10am for alignment. Went and ran errands in an Uber and called 2 hours later to check in. Receptionist said she s not sure everyone is on lunch. I then arrive at 1:17pm and ask if my car is done. She can t find my ticket and asks me twice what kind of vehicle I have. She then proceeds to tell me they couldn t do the alignment because they need to replace both control arms. First off why was I never called about this while I was waiting for hours? Then she says ya he can get you an estimate when he s off the phone. What?? Why wasn t my estimate ready in the first place. They just had my car parked outside on the side. Big old waste of time and energy. SAVE YOUR TIME

This place did a really good job on my tires, my truck drives much smoother. Although there was some miscommunications about the charges, they were quick to reach out and refunded me what was overcharged. I appreciate a business that strives to make their customers happy. I will be coming back here for my tire and alignment needs.

I visited to obtain a second opinion regarding my vehicle, and I am so, so thankful I did! Everyone was friendly and courteous, and there was NO upsell. I gained peace of mind and assurance that my vehicle was road worthy without spending $$ on unnecessary repairs. I will be a returning customer!

There isn't many places around like this anymore. They do business the way it should be done. Honest, Professional, and have very competitive pricing. Not to mention highly trained technicians and staff!. You just cant beat it!

I went to Bolton James because they came highly recommended by a friend and I am so glad I did! I went to get to new tires and new rims put on my Jeep and am so happy with the way everything turned out! Both Andrew and Hayden were so professional, kind, knowledgeable and accommodating through every interaction that I had with them. Picking out tires and rims was very intimidating to me because I don't know a lot about either but they took the time to go through several options with me and explain everything in detail so I knew exactly what I was getting. I would absolutely come back to Bolton James if I needed any other work done and recommend them to everyone in the area!

Quite possibly one of the best tire shops in the entire southeast, and it s right here in Spartanburg, SC. I worked as a mechanical engineer for a large French tire manufacturer for over 28 years, so I ve seen more than my fair share of tire shops and met many tire technicians along the way. Bolton-James Tire & Alignment stand out because of its professional, experienced, people on staff, who listen to the customer, pay attention to the details, take care of your tires, and are careful while doing so. Moreover, they care about the quality of their work in addition to the customer s needs. The company s personnel are highly knowledgeable and even able to solve tire ride vibration issues. The shop has a great reputation with a huge variety of machines for tire repair, tire balancing, tire mounting and even have tire-truing capabilities. The shop is clean swept, has a clean waiting area, is well-organized and able to work on a wide range of vehicles from sports cars to commercial trucks. Additionally, all the people I met were polite and courteous. Finding a tire shop like this is very hard to do nowadays (diamond in the rough), but yet this one is still here - in 2023 - after all these years. I had a technical issue on my 2008 BMW M3 (steering wheel vibration at certain highway speeds) with one of my front tires that other shops could not totally solve by dynamic balancing. Bolton-James were able to analyze the tire vibration issue and correct it to my satisfaction. Well done. Great job guys.

Update on Original Post: Although my experience with them was frustrating at times, they did end up making it right and gave me a partial refund for my original service because of the delay. I do appreciate this, and I believe my original experience with them was unusual, considering their overall positive reputation. I plan to use them in the future for my auto needs.Although the staff seems to be nice, my experience here has been terrible. I dropped off my Civic with a suspension noise on August 28th, and they said it was done on the 31st, so I picked it up and paid for the double strut replacement. As soon as I put my car in drive, it immediately started making the same noises. So they made me wait 5 days to bring it back. They then had it for almost another week, and called me again to inform me that it was ready. Sure enough, I put it in drive, and the same exact noise starts back. The service tech tried to claim it was a different noise they heard when they replaced the struts originally, which is incorrect. They now have my car for the 3rd time, and it s now the 8th day since I dropped it off. I will continue to update this review as time goes on. It s just extremely frustrating to have to drive 30 minutes there every time they think they have it fixed .

Place came highly recommended; so I scheduled an alignment a week later and came in. Respectfully they found an issue that would make aligning the car pointless until it was repaired which I appreciated them telling me. That s good business.The downfall was when I asked for a quote. I let them know I work 3rd when they said they d have to call me back with it; and asked if they could leave the info on my voicemail if I was sleeping. The tech said he would call later that afternoon around 4 to speak to me; he did not. He called within an hour of me getting home and didn t leave any info.I called back the next day (since they were closed when I woke) and after waiting on hold was simply given a price that seemed a bit high; with no explanation on breakdown of parts, labor, etc.It was obvious the nice woman who gave me the amount wasn t going to breakdown the estimate so I simply thanked her and hung up. I appreciated the honesty of the shop; but was disappointed in some of the processes and/or the way things were handled.I ve worked in the automotive field my entire life - and I felt like I was dismissed and/or that my vehicle was not as important to Bolton-James as some of their other customers and that is not a good feeling.

Great customer service and pure honesty from these people. I had an issue with my vehicle that required more work than I expected. The guy didn't do my alignment because he said he would just be taking my money with the alignment not fixing the issue. This is AFTER I had previously went to another "mechanic" less than 6 months ago who "fixed" the issue that was still there today. So glad he didn't take my money and was honest! Not to mention, all of my questions were answered honestly! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Best tire (and more) shop in Spartanburg. Always honest, reliable, ethical. It's hard to find a business these days that still cares more for their customers even more than their bottom line sometimes. I would recommend them every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Took my Toyota Tundra to Brakes 4 less for an estimate. Price was $1100. Then took it to Bolton James and had my brakes fixed for $427. I highly recommend Bolton James for their service and honesty on what really needs replacing.

My experience was very helpful and was very friendly! They did a very good job of ordering me 2 new Uniroyal Laredo tires and swapping the others around. Then, after I bought a new AAA battery, they installed a brand new alternator on my 1997 Ford F150 truck at a reasonable rate. Thanks Bolton tire for all you do for us! Billy J.

The price of alignment was half the cost the Toyota dealership quoted. They do not take advantage and do unnecessary work. They are very organized and busy. Good and honest customer service is the reason they have been in business for so long.

I had an aftermarket used car insurance and they took my GMC ACADIA and diagnosed it needing a power steering pump and power rack. They contacted the insurance company with a quote the quote was approved then they begin the work. The work was completed several days earlier than expected which was fantastic. I went to pick up the vehicle and as I went to leave I had sensor issues and immediate stopped and parked the car. I went inside and told him what was wrong left the car there and went home. Within the next three hours the bugs were worked out and my car was delivered to my residence. Not everything can go right all the time Bolton James has never done me wrong this time I had an issue it was corrected immediately efficiently and with extreme professionalism. I could not ask anymore honesty or compassion I have a company that they have provided me. I will proudly and confidently continue to use them for any and all of my service needs. It is hard to find a fair honest mechanic that treats its customers properly the way you would expect them to treat you. When I spoke to them on the phone and in person I never once felt like a paycheck but as a friend I highly recommend them and have the upmost confidence in their abilities to service my vehicles take care of my needs and to make me feel safe and confident on the road a big thank you to the entire Bolton James family.

These guys are great. I have a 35 year old sports car that needs a bit more attention than most late model cars. I bought two tires from Bolton-James recently and was given excellent advice on brand, rotation, etc. plus a competitive price. About six weeks later, one of the tires was flat - and then I found out the spare rim was out of true and hence, not drive-able. I had the car towed to Bolton-James and they replaced the stem (at no charge) and suggested I find an after-market rim for the spare which would be less expensive than one they would be able to order. The gentleman working on my car took time to explain the condition of the rim, and my options on either truing or replacing the rim. When I came to pick up the car (after regular hours - and they waited for me) I was told there was no charge, I kind of stared at them in disbelief. They responded with "Merry Christmas."I had heard how good Bolton-James was, but had used other stores in the past. With these past two service visits, these guys have earned my business. I not only will return, I will tell my friends they need to take their tire business here. I love supporting local business, and these guys make it easy to do so. Outstanding!!
