I did an investigation because I received a tip about your business towing cars on your property and the sidewalk outside of your property line. I talked with some of the officers and to one of the tow guys about the property line and what they could legally do and they didn't know because they have never dealt with someone who knows the city codes, property line, bill, and law. So I will come and show you where the city property is and where your property ends. If you don't want to learn then I will be out there again recording and teaching people how to file lawsuits against predatory towing to cost your company more than "200" dollars.I told your driver that anything past a certain line is a free game and you can tow all you want. That is your property and you have the right to remove them as you feel. Yet you don't own the sidewalk and that would be up the the city officers to ticket and call a city tow truck to remove it from city property, and not your tow truck driver stealing cars from the public. This is what happened to a couple of cars that were on the sidewalk and not your property. If you want to be technical about it, one of your customer parking-only signs is on city property by one foot and needs to be moved back onto your property. Any car that crosses that sign should be towed but if it is on the sidewalk you have no right and that's a city officer call. The pictures are of your business, one of the cars that was stolen off the sidewalk, and your property line. I have more pictures and videos but that would ruin the investigation when everything goes to the city. So you can put a rope or simple chain post to stop people from parking there which I doubt you will because you get extra money from it or wait for the right person to sue you for parking on the sidewalk that you don't own.

My wife and I were on our way to Charleston, SC for a weekend vacation when we ran into vehicle trouble. Advanced auto parts diagnosed us with a bad alternator. Being from out of town we kinda started freaking out a little bit. We called a few shops and none of them were willing to have us come in being that it was close to closing time. We called Barnett s and he immediately started trying to find an alternator and told us to come in and he would try his best to get us on the road before closing time. Once we got there they greeted us with kindness and found that the problem was a simple fix. They traced down the electrical issues and found it was only a wire unplugged. They were extremely honest with us and the best customer service we could have asked for. They got us taken care of in less than 15 minutes and back on the road for our vacation we are very grateful for the guys at Barnett s.

I would give them no stars but it wouldn't let me do it so I gave him just one they don't even deserve that. They con mans who doesn't know anything about cars. And the fact that I ask them for one specific thing and couldn't even do that right charge me for something else that didn't have nothing to do with what I asked him to do they are overpricing for no reason. And the crazy thing is they still don't know their job and for one they lie too much

I took my 2009 Mustang to Barnett s in June for a problem with my front brakes. They kept my car two days. When I picked it up, they d replaced my front brakes and also repaired my exhaust system which was an extra one hundred dollars. My boyfriend put my car on his lift a week ago. They repaired my exhaust system with two Zip ties. Took us two visits and pictures of the repair to get my money refunded. If my boyfriend hadn t had a lift, I d have never known. Bad way to treat a customer. I ll never go back! Warning ladies, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.Service: Auto exhaust system repair

My experience with Barnett's is not a good one. When you have your truck towed it's not going to be a good experience someone had to tow it and I am happy it was Barnett's. They took care of it and I appreciate it very much.

Great service, quality work, friendly and informative professionals are what you can expect from Barnett s. I took my 2013 Lexus to Spartanburg Toyota when I was having electrical problems. Their best recommendation was to replace the engine harness for $8300. I then took it to Barnett s Automotive for a quote. They were able to assess the problem and repair it for $210. Mike Barnett told us what the problem was, and how to prevent it in the future. I will be using Barnett s for all of my automotive service going forward. I highly recommend them.Services: Electrical, Transmission replacement

I'll give one star because I'm a believer in forgiveness. I took my van in there over the past 2 weeks because it was skipping when I would accelerate. They replaced the alternator which was fine because I'm sure it needed replacing considering it stopped running on the way there. However when I picked my van up it was still skipping and jumping just like before. I called them and they said to drop it back off. 2 days later they called and said they needed to replace ignition coil and spark plugs. Over 200.00$ more. Which I would have been fine with IF that had fixed the problem. I picked up my van and STILL SKIPPING. After paying them 700.00$. No change in performance whatsoever. I didn't even call back because I can't afford to continue giving them money for an issue they are not fixing. I have a family of 4 (not including myself) and work hard to make ends meet. Very disappointed in this business and their service.

All I can say is that those guys at Barnett's Garage are miracle workers!!! They are better than any big name franchise chain of mechanic shops!!!. I say this because they saved me thousands of dollars that this big name mechanic shop was trying charge me to replace my engine which they said I needed. So I decide to get a second opinion from this local garage which was close to my house, and that was Barnett's Garage. I told Mr. Mark my situation and he reassured me that he and his team would check it out and let me know that was truly the case. A day later, he called me back and informed me that I didn't need a new engine and he could fix my car for very fair price, which he did. Mr. Mark kept me abreast of every phase of the repair process, which in was very grateful for.! So within a day or so, Mr. Mark called and told me my car was ready. I was so blowed away with the results of the Barnett's work with my car!... It runs as good as the first day I drove it from the dealership! I can't thank Barnett's Garage enough for all that they have done for me. Mr. Mark and his team of mechanics are very kind and knowledgeable and more than willing to help the average joe with average pockets. They will be getting all of my business from now on, because they are the true CAR DOCTORS!!

I'm surprised by some of these bad reviews! I had the best experience at Barnett's - they even let me look under my car and explained the issues I was having, told me what ought to be fixed for a long car trip and what was just cosmetic and didn't affect safety. They then recommended a place down the street (Garrett's) to fix something they couldn't fix, and Garrett's did a fast and affordable job too. As a lady who often gets car repairs done alone, I appreciated their explaining everything to me and not charging me for a bunch of stuff that didn't need to be done just to up charge.

So I took my Lincoln in to get the fuel pump replaced and they did that with a timely manner.. but In the process somehow decided to rip down my custom headliner and map lights.. so I call to ask what happened to be told the technician said it was like that when I brought it in So luckily I ve got videos and pictures to prove otherwise. Now I don t plan on stopping until they fix this issue but I d advice everyone to stay away or atleast take multiple pictures of you re vehicle before you leave in their hands!Service: Fuel delivery

I took my 1978 F-100 in because it was running really bad, it wouldn't start up like its suppose to and it kept shutting off. They kept my uck for three weeks. They claimed that they ran a bunch of diagnostic tests on it and really couldn't find the problem, So they replaced the carburetor and distributor cap. They charged me over $800 and my truck was running the same way I bought it in.I was so mad I didn't know what to do. So I took it to another shop and they fixed the problem. The carburetor and timing was asout of adjustment and they replaced the plugs. It's running like a sewing machine now. I didn't see any reason to give it back to Barnett because they had it for three weeks.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Barnett's is the most honest and reliable shop that I've found. They repaired my transmission about six months ago and it's held up beautifully. The also cut me a huge deal when an oil leak caused my timing belt to break. They do an excellent job and have the best prices in town!

My car broke down on a 9 hour trip to FL. Barnetts was able to not only tow my car but get it fixed quickly so I could get back on the road in 4 hours. They went above and beyond and even offered to drive me to a hotel if I had needed. Very good people with great customer service.

Barnett s staff are very efficient and thorough. I have two vehicles that are older and they keep them maintained and serviced and has been a Godsend since my husband died. He told me that Barnett s will keep their word and they do.

Have used quite a few times over the last 4 years. Always felt I have received a thorough assessment of any issues they have found. Repairs and maintenance are completed in reasonable time considering how backed up they usually are (for good reason).

Had a piece replaced free of charge that was accidentally damaged by them. Very nice owner and treated me well. Also went over bill for a radiator that they replaced. They made sure I was satisfied. Thank you Mike.

Read PleaseI wouldn't give 1 star. Racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, racist, AND racist.1) I walked into the office the girl at front desk had a huge smile until she realized I was black, and bluntly took the smile off her face. ( It felt as if I were in a movie no joke!)2) I went due to some coolant was leaking...After they did whatever they did purposely on my car, it now runs hot.3) After test run (they had no supplies in their hands until the very last minute, just a guest after looking and just standing around talking under hood, I was watching the whole time) the guy says coolant is leaking due to bad water pump... another strike. Went in office print out an estimate of $700 to fix water pump.4) After I receive my car, my windshield started fogging so badly I couldn't drive. With all of my heart they did this to my car on purpose. I've never had this problem before.5) Went to Firestone the next day they did a diagnose test on my car for about 2 hours, and told me that it was the heater core, and not the water pump. He said to me with such sincerity that my car is not old enough for that to be happening... He said that is weird, and very unusual. Like I said the guys Barnettes did this to my car. My car was never fogging at windshields, or running hot to the max.6) If you're not their kind DONT GO THERE!! I took time to write this to protect future potential customers from being ripped off. Go to Firestone located in Spartanburg they are more trustworthy, and can careless of your color. They will do the job.Be Safe and choose your Car Doctor carefully, it's your means of transportation. Just pay for better quality you'll be so happy.

My car has been driving strange since having a oil change and tune up. The next day my car started idling weird and I brushed it off. Then it happened again and my bf drove it around and noticed the same issues I did. I took it back and was told nothing was wrong after mechanic driving it about 5 minutes yet I noticed as soon as I left . Never again.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Had my car towed to Barnett's because my car ran hot. The mechanic called me a day later and told me I had a blown head gasket and that my engine was done. Then told me he would buy the car as scrap from me for 50 dollars. Come to find out the engine was not blown it was the radiator. Bad business and I will never go back again! My family had used them before over the years but never again.
