March 2022 Mike and his family worked us in knowing we had a four hour drive back home with our boat. The repairs had to be made before traveling. They were busy but made time for us. They stayed after hours to accommodate us. We left their place at 8:00pm after they had been there all day. They really care about people and go above and beyond. Brice is such a hard worker. They are the friendliest people. Highly recommended! And we made it home!Service: Boat trailer service

So glad we found Mike's Marine Repair. They had all the various boat parts & accessories that we were in need of. Not to mention tons of anything else you may need for fishing (even live bait), hunting, shrimping, boating (even some for sale), apparel, etc. Prepare to browse. Wonderful family owned business, friendly, knowledgeable & go the extra mile to meet your needs. Highly recommend.

Went looking for a trailer repair, Mike took the time to explain the scope of the work and I decided a new trailer would be a better option due to overall cost . He gave me a great price on a new trailer and had my boat fitted and ready to go in one day. I have in the past delt with other marinas in Beaufort and it s been 4 days still waiting for them to call me with pricing. I m very impressed with the people at Mikes.Service: Boat trailer service

I brought in my boat with it running at idol but wouldn't open up when given the throttle. I was told the carbs needed to be rebuilt and that there was a magnet broken under the flywheel. I brought the boat home, paid $18 bucks for a puller and pulled the flywheel myself. There was no broken magnets or anything else broken under the flywheel. Removed and cleaned the carbs myself and the boat is operating perfect now. Runs great. This company wanted to charge me to repair or replace my flywheel, an extra $1000. I do not recommend the use of this business. It was my first time and my last time. Recommended by a friend who says he will no longer be using their services either.Service: Engine repair

They fixed the problems I was having with my ETEC's and did some additional wiring work I asked for. It appears the original dealer the boat went to when everything was new didn't do all the set up they were supposed to do. They got everything up to date and fixed a display problem along with the wiring I asked for. They did everything in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to recommend them. I believe they are knowledgeable and take pride in their work. I live in the Charleston area so its a little bit of a trip, but not bad, and well worth the time.

This was the best marine repair experience of my life. We came in at their closing time in an emergency and they stayed late to fix our boat. Not only that but they charged us the same and they were absolutely most friendly people ever. Mike personally helped us and got us straight on his time! Excellent experience

Mike and Bobbie at Mike's Marine saved our vacation. We were pulling our boat to the Keys and the axle on our boat trailer broke on I-95 in Yemasee, SC. Mike's Marine not only had the boat trailer we needed, they had the lift, etc. and stayed open hours past closing time to wait on the roll back with our boat and broken trailer. Mike got us all set up and called the next day to check on us and the trailer. They are a perfect example of a hard working family running a successful small business. They were amazing and I would recommend you stop by and check out all that they have to offer.

I have been doing business with Mikes Marine for a number of years now and would say that they are the most upstanding outboard repair shop in the Beaufort, SC area. Mike has always worked with me to keep my boat running strong and in my opinion he has always been fair and honest in all of our dealings...something that is hard to find in most any industry these days!

Judging from the other negative reviews here, it looks like we had the same experience with this lousy shop. Bottom line and pure fact: Boat is worse now than when it was dropped off. Parts that worked before are now broken. Called 3 times in an effort to resolve the situation... no call back, no answers...nada.This shop had my boat way too long for it not to work properly. Their customer service is awful and what's worse, they don't care. All-in-all, this shop is about as useful as a poop-flavored lolly pop. Terrible work, terrible customer service, awful prices... 100% do not recommend! Will never return and will ensure others know exactly what happened to me. These folks are awful.Hunters, boaters, and outdoor enthusiasts everywhere, beware!

I took my boat to Mike to repair an ongoing problem with an oil sensor alarm. A month and and half later I was told the boat was ready to be picked up. I paid the $1,078 bill by phone before driving 2 hours to pick it up. When I arrived, I found the boat battery had been left uncovered in the rain with the battery switch on. My brand new battery was dead. Mike blamed me and then the battery store for the problem but refused to accept responsibility for killing my new battery. Then, he couldn't start the boat that he said was fixed. When he did get it started the oil alarm that he said that he fixed immediately sounded. In short, the boat was in worse condition than when I dropped it off.Next, he spent hours working to bypass the oil injection system to fix the problem that I had already paid him to fix and that he said had been fixed. Before I left his shop, I asked one of his employees to check my trailer tire pressure and assure I had adequate tire pressure. This employee overfilled my tires. Not one, but both tires blew while traveling on I-95 which caused major damage to my trailer. Additionally, since I only had one spare tire I had to pay someone to help me get new tires and drive home with non-working trailer lights that were destroyed when the tires blew.I was prepared to let it go and write off the entire experience as simply awful and make note to self to never take anything to Mike's Marine again, but it gets worse...So, I took my boat to a lake and launched it and immediately noticed it was taking on water quickly around the transom. The boat that wasn't leaking before it went to Mike's was sinking. I hurriedly returned the sinking boat to the trailer and pulled the plugs and watched gallons of water expel from my boat. It is likely the transom cracked when the overfilled tires blew on I-95.But wait, there's more...then as I surrendered to the total destruction of my boat and trailer, I noticed oil leaking from the motor. Yes, you guessed right - Mike's hurried work bypassing the oil pump failed. Oil leaked all over the inside of the motor.I have phoned MIke's Marine two different days numerous times requesting to speak with Mike about my issues and he hasn't returned my calls.Mike's work is lousy and destroyed my boat, trailer, and motor and cost me $1,078.Beware.

Not sure what happened with some of the negative reviews but, my situation was pressing and personally, I was running short on time. I had a busted starboard fuel tank and needed a new one built! Mike had the tank removed in prompt fashion, kept me up to date with builder quotes and time frame of completion! They did all this in the busiest part of the season AND during a major family event that took them out of town for awhile! They didn't know me from Adam but treated me with honesty and respect. Mike and Brice told me about other things that could potentially be a problem in the future plus took the extra time to fix a problem that would have bitten me right at the boat ramp! I WILL most definitely be using Mike's Marine for future boat repairs and the maintenance I can't or don't have the time to handle myself. 5 stars easy

I have been depending on Mike for repairs bottom painting and bought a new motor from him last year. He also keeps my 22 years old 15hp going. Started w/him probably 12 plus years ago. Honor service.Bill N

Quite frankly these folks are very average when it comes to customer service. Well worth exploring other options in the area. Purchased a new Etec and after 6 months had a simple warrantee claim that should have been no question, but Mike made out that it was my fault when it was their own install process and checks that were at fault.

Was told last Saturday to bring my boat over and the mechanics would check it out beginning of the week, the woman I spoke with thought I d be able to get it by Wednesday or Thursday. I called Thursday morning and they had yet to look at it. So much for wasting a week of fishing. Don t waste your time, unfortunately I did.
