Bought a 2019 Ford Edge from them. Check engine light came on 30 minutes from leaving the dealership. They refuse to fix the problem. Very shady place. Do not recommend buying from them.

I don't like the fact that if you are told that they will get back in touch with you, they never do. I had to use my sons phone in order for someone to pick up the phone, I guess they stream their phone calls. Smh, you will always get the run around. No professionalism. So

Took a 2014 VW Jetta GLI that was running lumpy and showing a check engine light P0022 code. Was initially quoted $95 diagnostic fee over the phone ,so booked an appointment for 9am Monday morning. Once I arrived the quote went up to $150, apparently the lady that quoted $95 was on holiday that week, oh well, need the job done. Sat in the office for about 90 minutes before a tech came out informing me that the diagnosis will take some more time and they'll phone me when they know what's wrong. FRIDAY comes around, still no call so I call them and am informed it's injectors 3 definitely bad maybe 4, ask for a price and am quoted $1700, it's not a diesel by the way, 2 litre turbo. Thought it was a bit steep, but again need a car as renting one is working out very expensive. Give them the go ahead to fix it. Get a call Monday saying that they're going to try and clean up some injectors they have in the shop and try them, reducing the quote to about $500, which was nice. Informed them that I must have the car back by Thursday so I don't have to extend the rental car, am told no problem. Thursday comes round and still no call, I call them and they say it'll be 1st thing Friday morning, so I walk to the shop from my house having turned the rental car back in, and arrive there at 10:30am am told "they're just finishing up and taking it for a test drive" 1:30pm still nothing, so ask the receptionist what's happening, she goes out back to the workshop, comes back and says "he'll be with you in a minute" it was actually 15 minutes but eventually a younger gentleman, not the tech who'd worked on the car, came out all smiles, to then tell me that they hadn't fixed, and I'd be better off taking it to a dealership. No reason, no excuse.I asked him why it had taken 2 full weeks for this to be their solution, and surely if they either didn't want the job or it was above their skill level they should have let me know within at most a couple of days. Again no reason or excuse.My advice would be if you need more than a simple oil change or tire replacement avoid this place$150 to be told to take it to a dealership after 2 weeks of holding my car

I m just starting out my relationship with The Machine Shop and it has been great.Stopped in for a consultation and replace break lights. Jeff was attentive and thorough with our initial inspection.Awesome location and friendly staff.Update: Just picked my car up after its first official service. Jeff is an absolute pleasure to have at the front desk. His ability to communicate with his team is awesome. I bought a car from TLC in December of 2021with a warranty added to it. Had an issue a month later with the car. They replaced my back tires no problem and they were good to go. Ever since then, any issues I ve had, the guy who works in service always has a nasty attitude. Let me state that I have a Kia Optima and they are more than enough issues going around with these types of cars. Every time i call and inquire about an issue I m having with my car, he seems uninterested in helping or servicing me. I wish the lady who use to work there was still there. She was more helpful and transparent. I am not satisfied with this business at all and I m hoping the warranty company does business with other shops than this one.Service: Auto maintenance

Awesome employees and good work. My tire went flat on the way to the shop and Tabitha was super helpful by having someone come out and put on my spare. Can't say enough good things about the staff and service at the Machine Shop in Roebuck! I took my truck in with some electrical issues and for an oil change. Barrett stayed in communication with me and updated me throughout the diagnosis and repair. Tabitha at the front was so friendly on the phone and in person and Bryan did a great job of getting my truck fixed in time to get me back on the road for our vacation trip. Today after leaving work, I had an issue with my car. I stopped at one automotive place and the guy said his boys had left and he couldn t help me. Feeling frustrated, I then headed towards home and saw another automotive shop and pulled in. This was The Machine Shop in Roebuck. From the second I pulled into the parking lot I was met with nothing but down right GOOD PEOPLE. I walked in and they had me instantly pull around back. They had me back on the road in no time and refused to accept a dime of my money! I know they were super busy and they chose to help me when they did not have to! Much less for free. It s hard to find good people these days and I will forever give them my business! I encourage you to also support this business ran by awesome people.

I have had several good experiences with this place. I've always talked to Grant and got exactly what I needed at s good price. My go to source for tires and alignments. Grant has been nice enough to take me back to work in his personal vehicle several times after I dropped my vehicle off to have it worked on. They always have good prices on tires batteries and any other service I have needed.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment, Battery

I will never take my car to ANYONE except The Machine Shop!!! Tabitha Hadden and Barrett Primmer are AMAZING!!! They ve more than bent over backwards for me with my new car!!!! I finally got the wheels of my dreams! Grant took his time and picked out the perfect set of wheels and tires for me!! Chris did an amazingggg job on my detail, my car is definitely ready for the new addition to my family! Holden got me squared away with my oil change and Cassidy is the lady up front, very quick and polite. When I got there to pick up my car Barrett and his team had it staged so I could see it right when I walked in and I was so excited!! This place is amazing! I had my car towed here yesterday for the first time and I don t know why I ve been going anywhere else! Dustin is completely honest about what s going on with your car and really makes sure you are understanding what s going on too. I don t know much about cars so I ve put my trust in places before that have screwed me over but you can trust that Dustin and the guys here will take care of you!Service: Battery

This place is awesome! Even after we sat 3 1/2 hours waiting on our car and the part ended up being bad Cassidy made it good!!! Super professional and cool young lady!! Needless to say thank you for your help service and free steak dinner!!! Worked with Grant on getting me the best prices around for the general maintenace needed on my car and my families. Highly recommend and wouldnt go anywhere else. You wont find a friendlier staff anywhere. The Machine Shop did an interior and exterior detail as well as a paint correction. My car looks fantastic. They were prompt and fair, and the man who worked on my car clearly took pride in his work. Well where do I start? If your looking for an honest dealership look some where else. Ya they be nice to you before you buy one of their cars, but God forbid anything goes wrong with it and especially they sell you the cheap warranty so they don t have to cover the expensive fixes very convenient for them. Their shop broke our key made it look like it was our fault and we had to pay $150 for the key, plus $63 for a diagnosis that they really didn t know what the issue was, they kept claiming it was a battery issue and then we find out our warranty doesn t even cover alternators or the labor for it. The people at their shop are rude and they talk to you like your stupid and they didn t want to deal with me. I told them I wasn t going to pay another dime and they couldn t wait for me to leave. We are taking our business else where, we are not valued as a loyal customer.

We took my wife's car there to get it cleaned before our baby came. The staff was very professional and very nice to my wife, and the results were fantastic. We had a full detail done, and her car looked brand new when these guys were finished with it.

Front desk customer service is A1 . Goes out of his way to make sure that he gets you the right information and you are pleased with your experience there. The Manager also is very knowledgeable and friendly. The whole staff is jam up. Take you care here for your service needs

Where shall I start? I first used them to change the fuel tank and driveshaft in my jeep. After taking a couple of months to finish. I finally got it back. 3 days after getting it back. We decided to go for our first drive. 20 ft up our driveway the driveshaft fell out because it only had two bolts in it.. I called them and their excuse was the mechanic that completed the work no longer worked there. I decided to lick my wounds and do it myself. A while later I decided to use them again for the benefit of the doubt. I had them change my water pump in my ram 1500. This time they were faster and everything worked except my heat. I took it back and they said the wrong thermostat was installed. I paid my money ( 600 +) and picked my truck up. It wasn t that cold so the heat wasn t hot but it wasn t cold enough to tell. This November when it got cold again. I noticed it still not working. I decided to have it looked at when I had my oil changed. So here I am 2274.00 later because the wrong coolant was used and the wrong thermostat and that clogged my whole coolant system along with ruining my heater core. Never again and if you re smart you won t use them either.Service: Engine repair
