You can't go wrong with this shop and highly recommend. They are very honest, very knowledgeable, and do top quality work. Had my 04 STi trans and engine work, along with new tune completed by their team. You can definitely trust this shop for your needs - their reviews prove it and so does all the subarus and GMs in their parking lot when you arrive. Will always be my go-to shop for my Subaru needs/wants.

Dave & team were great about fitting me in last minute to fix an issue on my '18 WRX. Ended up being just a loose hose clamp on the BOV, diagnosed & fixed within 15 minutes of arrival. I could have easily been taken advantage of but they were very honest, professional and understanding.

Replaced the engine with a iag block and handled the tuning process on my 2020 WRX. Great communication. Completed the work within a timely manner and everything checked out great. Quote for the service was spot on no surprises. Any issues or concerns I had where addressed and taking care of. Meet my power goals and helped give me recommendations for future goals. All with a great warranty package. If you need a Subaru engine or parts install this would be the first place I would contact if your not comfortable with doing it yourself.Been trashing on it for a bit and no issues. Got an 03 wrx tuned 2 yrs ago and didn't like how it sounded especially the pops while downshifting. I talked to the guy, granted it's been a while but I had came by twice before, as I discussed my issue, he was was very defensive, and at some point stated raising his voice. I responded calmly the whole time. Was hoping to get the pop fixed but customer service could have been better. So had to leave this review.

My experience with the owner and this shop has been absolutely great. I got the dod/afm delete and an upgraded cam in my 2015 Silverado. When I first called I just had a couple questions and he gladly answered them before even knowing If I was gonna use them or not. As soon as I got the price I quickly decided to go with them. They kept me well updated and answered my many questions and was able to help me the best they could with my specific requests. Just got my truck back today and it runs and drives great and I have no doubt that they did a wonderful job. Highly highly recommend these guys. I Will tell everybody that asks where to go for any tuning or performance needs that shiftfast is 100% the way to go.Services: Auto engine tuning, Engine repair

They preformed walnut blasting on my 2018 WRX and I couldn t be happier with the service. They have also been extremely helpful in answering my questions about potential upgrades and I will definitely be going back when it is time to take the next steps.

I cannot recommend Shift Fast highly enough everyone was great to work with on my install. Garrett answered every single question I had about adding an AOS and boost controller, ordered parts, and recommended another local shop for a carbon cleaning treatment prior to my install and tune. I chose this shop initially because it is one of the places where Junior Barrios (JR Tuned) tunes vehicles, and I couldn t be happier with the entire experience. Dave is a good guy and very knowledgable, and I had a great time talking with him about a wide range of subjects. Brandon installed the AOS and EBCS and did a fine job. The tune I received from Junior is awesome it really woke my ride up and he opened up plenty under the curve for me no more fine knock learn, and my daily driver is even more fun to drive than it was before. In short, if you have a Subaru, take it to these guys and you ll be in great hands. I drove over three hours to Shift Fast, and I ll be happy to make the trip again. I'm making an appointment with these guys in a couple weeks after reading all these reviews. Taking a 3 hour trip from myrtle beach to visit these guys because I know it'll be worth it!

These guys are the best in the area, they worked on my 06 WRX and I have nothing but good things to say, such great job that even now after I moved 700 miles away from them I seriouly considered taking my second Subie all the way from NJ so they can do my build.But Stewart recommend I go to Prime Motoring which also one of the shops that JR works with and even thought I can no loger take my car to shiftfast, they continue to help me every time I have a question or concerns I know I can reach out to them for help.

David built my bored and stroked 383. He's extremely knowledgeable and patient. We had to install larger fuel injectors...unfortunately the tuning data from the injector manufacturers was wrong. They didn't update their injector data until 1.5 years after they were installed. Dave tuned my car several times at no cost until, armed with new data, he got the car completely streetable, an absolute pleasure to drive. It makes a ton of power up top and your grandmother could drive it-but your granny probably isn't cool enough to drive a stick!Dave doesn't sign off on a build or repair until he would sign his name to it. I highly recommend ShiftFast.

Very knowledgeable guys. They know what they're doing. They will weed out any problem with your subaru. Always my go to shop. Did great on my clutch, dynotune, and exhaust work.

Great atmosphere, Great group of guys, and are dedicated to exceed all expectations on any repair or build you have. Go above and beyond to make sure your car leaves damn near perfect with no issues. I brought in my 2006 Evolution 9 MR that a previous "shop" tried building and completely ruined the car. Stew and the guys turned this thing around and brought back hope and potential for it and has been great ever since I got it back. JR tuned it and made right at 800 horsepower with no issues and drives like stock. I highly recommend these guys over anyone and will continue to have my business for any future repairs or any builds I choose to do. Cant go wrong with shift fast!

A great shop with knowledgeable tuners and mechanics that stand behind their work, which is rare to find. They adjusted their schedule in accordance to mine which is also rare, as well as doing a great job. If you own a Subaru and you want it to get tuned or work done, go here. They also work on other cars as well but I will only speak of what I drive. Thank you guys for the awesome service and work, I will be returning.

I've spent a lot of time and money with this business over time and cannot think of a single negative experience with them. They know their work inside and out and never take shortcuts. Their customer relations are some of the best I've had and they always take the time to discuss their work with me and always tell it straight. They stand behind their work and look out for their customers. It is the only shop I recommend to anyone who needs work or tuning on any of the platforms they service.

These guys are amazing, they work closely with JNA Performance in SC and both will make sure you are taken care of. I drove 5 hours to see them, totally worth it. They put in the work to make sure your car is running the best it can. Can t recommended them enough.

I definitely have found my new mechanic! The shop really impresses me with great staffs that are very friendly and confident. The thing that I love about it is the owner (Khank) and the technician (Stewart) who explains to me exactly what went wrong with my Lexus and went into detail when I questioned them. The prices are very reasonable but the most important thing is they were very courteous to me, were not at all pressuring me to get the service, and the number ONE thing - my Lexus is fixed and running GREAT!!! Thank you Shift Fast for the great service and I will certainly mention you all to all I know!

From my first contact with Shift Fast I knew I was going to be taken care of. Stewart spent a good time at night after they closed to diagnose my cars ailments. Even though I told him multiple times to go home and enjoy dinner with his family. After finding the issue with my car, both Stew and James spent countless consultation hours to find the best most cost effective fix for my car. The turn around for the new engine build was so fast, it is unheard of. Now my car is back together and running great. There are a few electrical gremlins that are plaguing the car that are 100% unassociated with the work these guys did, and they have had me in the shop on a moments notice tinkering trying to find the issues, 100% free. They have a dedication to each and every customer that cannot be touched by any other local performance shops, and really strive to make sure every car that leaves their garage is operating the best way, if it is not they make sure it is. There is no better shop around for professionalism, speed, quality or customer service. No wonder the top engine manufacturer (IAG) and world's best tuner ( JR TUNED) have chosen to partner with Shift Fast and no one else. If you are looking for work look no further than Shift Fast. There happy customer base speaks for itself.

I needed somewhere (besides the dealership) to take my Subaru after the warranty expired and had read good reviews about Shift Fast so I gave them a try. The check engine light came on one day so I called and asked when I could get them to look at my car. They said "a week from tomorrow" so I patiently waited, not know what was wrong with my car, and brought it to them the following week. They told me about their drop box so I could leave my key if I had to drop the car before they opened. When I spoke with them on the phone I gave them the full layout of my situation including the make, model, year, and color of the car and all my information and when I would be bringing it in. I dropped the car off and put my keys in the drop box and waited. I hadn't heard anything before 5 that day so I gave them a call. Turns out they hadn't even thought about looking at it they "didn't know anything about the car" or why it was there. So I waited two more days, calling at the end of each day to see if any progress was made. I was told each time "we'll call once we look at it" and wouldn't provide any kind of timeline as to when that might be. Finally on day three they looked at it and determined it to be a sensor in the catalytic converter. I had to pick my car up for the weekend and had to bring it back the following week so they could finally "fix" it. Well, it wasn't long until the check engine light was back on. I called to see when I could bring it back and they said it would be 10+ days until they could get to it and advised me to take it elsewhere to have the code read. Sure enough, it was the same code. I called again this time leaving a message, which has not been returned. Apparently they have no interest in making it right. I'm sure these guys are great at tuning cars (which is why I didn't give them one star) and they definitely know their stuff but if you're looking for a place to do regular car repairs, I recommend you look elsewhere.

Dave is a great guy and the type of person who you can trust will treat you fairly. I've not worked with anyone here but they have all been friendly. Dave will be my trusted tuner and my go to guy for the work that I cannot do myself. Thanks shift fast!

Stewart and Shift Fast Motorsports is an amazing shop! I won't let anyone do anything to my vehicles except for them. They have always done a great job! They are being harassed from someone, and a lot of the reviews (negative ones) aren't accurate or true. Thanks yall for doing a great job, keep it up!!

I came across this shop via friends almost 4 years ago. Little did I know that I'd feel like a part of their family from then on. By far the most humble, down to earth, friendly shop I have ever dealt with. From the start it was simply diagnosing a funny noise on a previous vehicle of mine, that later turned into regular service, dyno runs and exhaust work. Then onto my current vehicle, which I have ONLY they have touched. The guys there helped me go through the entire car and find things the previous owner hid. We went through the bolt-ons stage, which they did very well with. Quoting realistic prices, time of completion and power outcome. They have even offered me to drive their personal vehicle while mine was being serviced! Who does that anymore?! We did full transmission builds, and 2 years later we went through a full engine build. Never have I doubted the quality of workmanship or service this shop provides. From start to finish I was always comfortable leaving my vehicle in their hands. As I move onto my next vehicle in the near future, I can't wait to see what the masterminds at ShiftFast Motorsports can come up with next. I have found my shop for life. Keep up the great work guys, You Rock!

Delivered what was promised and didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary modifications just to make an extra dollar. Even though there isn't much more that I want to do to my car, I'll be back to this shop when I need work.

These guys are great I 100% recommend working with them if you are a Subaru driver. They dropped a RA block in my sti and didn t waste any time dropping it in once all the parts came in. Very professional, cooperative, they respond within minutes and friendly as well -Matt

Needed injectors flow tested. The staff were very professional. Injectors were returned to me faster than expected and explained everything that was the issue. Because of the feedback was able to get my baby back on the road. I will use them again when needed. Thank you for the help Shiftfast!!!!

It's rare in this day and age to find a automotive performance shop (let alone any business) that offers exceptional customer service by experienced and knowledgeable staff. I've used Shift Fast for my Evo since they opened and the quality of the labor, fair prices, and overall attention to detail is simply unsurpassed by any other shop I've used (and I've used MANY). I recommend them 5 stars without hesitation.
