Mike and the team at Hydra-Tech transmissions are perhaps the most honest and fair auto techs I ve ever had the pleasure to run across. (And having to replace a transmission is not a pleasure but Mike and the hydro tech staff went above and beyond to get me back on the road. Fair prices and genuine care for the customer made an unwelcome transmission problem a whole lot easier to bear. No other place I d ever go for transmission related services!

Had to get a rebuild done on an 86 K5 Blazer. Took a little longer due to "COVID" challenges with supplies and parts but overall only took a few days longer than planned. The team at Hydratech was professional and kept me up to date the entire time. They didn't jump to do the rebuild without a thorough inspection and review of the issue. Great people, and transmission is running awesome.Service: Transmission

I recently blew the transmission on my 01 suburban, so I asked a couple car dealers who they might recommend. Hydra-Tech was the first trans shop they spoke of. I called the 3 shops and got quotes from all 3. Hydra-tech was the most reasonable and so it was there I went. These gentlemen (Mike & Grady) were extremely courteous, and knowledgeable. There customer skills and follow up calls were greatly appreciated. I got lucky with these guys and am extremely Grateful for their wonderful and quick attentiveness to repair my truck. I would definitely recommend Hydra-tech to anyone. 1998 GMC would not shift out of low gear. Hydra-Tech told me it may cost $2850 to rebuild the trans. Called me a few days later to let me know the truck was ready.Turned out to be a faulty connection which they handled on a no charge basis. The truck is running fine. These guys could have easily told me the truck needed a rebuild, I'd already given them the go ahead if that was what was needed.I see why they have the high ratings they do. The people here were very professional and honest. They were able to quickly diagnose the problem with my transmission and order the parts needed. They took great care in the service that was needed and explained everything that was done and why. A great shop to get your transmission work done.

Who wants to shell out $4200 for a new transmission? Nobody. That's who! However, it's a lot easier pill to swallow when you're working with great people! Grady and Mike really took care of us. I had researched 3 other companies before we took our vehicle to Hydra-Tech. They were highly recommended and gave us our best price. Additionally, I was truly impressed with their friendly and attentive customer service. That definitely goes a long way!

I replaced the torque converter in my Suburban after finding a large amount of debris in the pan on a fluid change. Significant problems persisted and I don't have time to do a full swap or rebuild so I called a couple of shops in town. These guys were extremely easy to work with, they have a lot of backlog (which is a good sign for a transmission shop), and got a complete rebuild done in less than 2 weeks. I've already put a couple hundred miles on it and it drives like a brand new truck. Very professional, fair pricing, and they actually answer the phone when you call during business hours. Glad I used them, good to know skilled folks like this locally.

Called to get a price on a rebuild for my truck they told me 5-6 weeks and over 10k that was insane. I got it done in 7 days and half what these guy quoted in Charlotte with a better warranty.

I started having transmission problems in my 2015 Tahoe and first took it to the dealership. I decided to shop around and had seen Hydra Tech in passing so I gave them a call. I m so glad I did. They weren t pushy at all, just truly honest and great guys. After talking to them I went and picked up my Tahoe from the dealership and took it straight to them. They replaced my transmission, and not only did they beat the price by $1700, it had a much better warranty. The GM warranty was 3 years 100,000 miles, my hydra tech transmission is 3 years with unlimited miles. I have had no problems and couldn t be happier with the service. Will definitely be back for all my transmission needs.

They do fantastic work. They are honest and reliable. If you want someone who will do the right thing every time and make sure your vehicle is safe and working perfectly they are the people to go to. Unbelievably honest. Instead of making up a fictitious error code or fixing a non-existant problem, they informed me that although my vehicle was locked in 3rd gear, I should take it to the dealership to see if there was a seperated hybrid code system. They didn't even charge for the diagnostic despite the fact that they ran one. Great service.

These guys did a great job on my F150. I ve only had the truck around a month since having the transmission replaced so I obviously can t say how long it ll last, but so far, it s performing perfectly. They worked me into their schedule to get me back up and running in no time. These guys are first class and I highly recommend!

They worked miracles on my car! I Have a Acura CL type S. I Took it to a shop in Charlotte 1st and they destroyed my transmission. Took it to Hydra Tech(which I should've done in the 1st place) and they fixed it very quick! My car runs better than ever. I am so thankful for them. They saved my car and me lots of money. If I ever have transmission issues again ( hope i don't) I will always bring my cars here.Thank you guys at Hydra Tech y'all are awesome!!

They are busy! But you don t get that busy doing sloppy work! I waited to get an appointment to fix my wife s Cadi TCU and it was completed on time and it works great! Nobody likes paying for major auto repairs, but if you have to, you want to get your money s worth. These guys do good work and give you what you pay for.

Took my 2005 Pontiac GTO in about 5 months ago with a blown transmission. These guys were fantastic! I do not trust easily when it comes to my car but felt at ease leaving it with Hydra-Tech. They explained everything in detail and even let me take a look at the failure point on my old transmission parts. The price was fair and although it took a short while for the work to be completed I was confident it was being done correctly. Would take any of my cars back to them in a heartbeat but hopefully it won't be necessary!

I was told to go here because of how reliable and trust worthy these guys were. I had gotten quoted that fixing my car would have been a $3,400 job. I go in and talk to one of the owners, ive forgotten the name I m sorry, time goes by they test my vehicle and call me back saying it s just an electrical issue and they recommend me to this shop down the street from my house. I ended up paying $1,550 to fix the issue and replaced my valve body with TCM. Could not be more thankful and would 100% recommend this shop to anybody who needs work or even just has a question about they re transmission. 10/10

I cannot say enough good things about hydro tech!! My son is a student at Winthrop and when he called me about his transmission issue, I was expecting the worst....a 19 year old college kid 8 hours from home and we didn t have anyone to give us a referral for a good honest mechanic. I found hydro tech on google and read a few reviews. Long story short...Grady and the guys were AWESOME!! We all expected an EXPENSIVE rebuild. Imagine my surprise when I got the call telling me that it was only a $575 repair. They could have EASILY pulled a fast one! These guys did the right thing! Now I have a trusted mechanic in Rock Hill!!

Brought in my 95 Ford F-150 because it would leak transmission fluid randomly and they were able to give a free diagnosis. I was able to talk to the owner directly and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Good warranty and great work.

These guys are awesome! One of the few places you can still go and be treated like family. They don't try to sell you something you don't need, and if they do tell you that you need something, they will help you track down the best parts for your situation. They tell you like it is and there is no pressure to do anything you don't feel comfortable with. Before you have your transmission serviced anywhere else, stop in and get a second opinion and estimate.

Was having an issue with my twenty year old Dodge Dakota changing gears properly. Randy at ES&Y recommended Mike at Hydro. He brought me home bc I had to leave the truck at the shop. Then brought it to me when it was repaired. I don't know of another shop in town that will do that. God bless him.

Great people. The work is done right! They give a set price an don't try to add stuff that isn't wromg with your car. They are awesome people an truly trust worthy. Anytime any thing is wrong with my car I take it here. I love love love!

I just feel so blessed to have found these guys ! They went above and beyond replacing my sick little Nissan Sentra's transmission. Great price and superb customer service ! Got my car back today and she's driving like a dream !

Excellent service, I would recommend highly.They found the problem that nobody else could fix. Didn't charge me a dime.
