I made an appointment and had it confirmed on the phone with them and after waiting two months for the appointment to come around we were told they forgot to actually make the appointment and there was absolutely nothing they could do to rectify or accommodate their mistake for us. Essentially, the situation was straight out of a Seinfeld episode, they knew how to take the appointment but couldn t actually follow through on the appointment.Since I was graduating from grad school at Clemson there was no way to reschedule as I was moving away in days and it was wildly inconvenient for me and there was a total lack of contrition on their part to rectify the mistake. They were also rude to my partner, the owner of the car, telling her to have an adult call them back to make the appointment. I would recommend avoiding this shop.

A year later I go back bc I thought I trusted them and they did a valve job and didn't replace all the seals or even put the old back correctly when putting the valve cover back on. Had oil all over 3 coil packs causing misfires. I had to tell them I had a video of the oil before they decided they would fix it. Said they wasn't trying to fix a leak just adjust valves but they sure did cause a leak. Biggest thing is they weren't even sorry about their mistake they seemed mad that I pointed it out and they had to fix their own mistake. Watch them very closely if you do let them do work. I'm looking for a new mechanic.

Do not recommend. When you are looking for a mechanic to fix your vehicle, you want a trustworthy place & this is NOT the place. Thankfully, my husband dealt with them for my vehicle and he knows about cars. They were suppose to fix my car. A $600 job, to only get it back and 2 days later mess up due to them not replacing something correctly. We took the car back and they tried to charge another $600 to fix it saying it wasn t their fault and there was no oil leaking. They didn t know we videoed everything before returning the vehicle. When they were told we had videos then they were all about getting it fixed for free. I do no recommend this shop at all. And to add, we just picked up the car and they didn t apologize or anything. Just handed the keys over. Not only did they lie but they don t care about their customers apparently, just trying to make another dollar. The car wouldn t even start when we picked it up. The battery cable was loose.

These guys have done two difficult fender/big scratch/parking lot dings for me in the past 6 months. Both jobs were really first-class and done in a timely manner--done when promised. Larry handled a big insurance claim with the insurance company without any hassle to me. I have had many body jobs over 60 years, but Caine is really the best. Use these guys and you won't be sorry.

Excellent experience! Our neighbor highly recommended Jerry Cain's after I was rear-ended at a stoplight messing up my bumper and trunk. I took the estimate I got from the insurance company and Jerry fixed my car in 4 days. He saved me money because he was able to reuse a part. Customer service and communication were excellent. They were also helpful in advice on car rentals, etc. Highly recommend!

Jerry Cain Auto did a great job fixing my car after hitting something! The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable about what needed to be repaired. I did have to call to check in about my car, but I was given an update very quickly upon calling each time. When a wrong part was sent to them, they went out of their way to get it to ensure my car would be ready in a timely manner! Jerry Cain Auto came highly recommended to me and after receiving services, I can see why!

I had an issue where the brakes were extremely soft on a used vehicle I had recently purchased. Jerry Cain Auto was able to get me in early in the morning and even drove me back to my home while the work was being done so I didn't have to sit in the office. Mary at the front desk was very friendly and Herschell was intriguing to speak with during the drive. My vehicle was repaired in a timely fashion and the price was fair. Without a doubt, I'd take my vehicle back to them for future repairs.

Our daughter is a Clemson student. Her car would not start and upon talking to her father, it needed to go to a mechanic. We had her car towed to Jerry Cain auto. He said they were busy but would get to it when they could. After a week they did get to it and said they fixed the issue. It ended up costing $360. Our daughter picked up her car, stopped for gas and her car would not start...right after she just left Jerry Cain auto. She finally got it to start only to get to her destination and it would not start again. It still will not start and she picked up her car this past Friday. My husband hooked it up to the ODB code reader and it s showing the same issue that it showed prior to taking it to the garage. The same issue they charged us $360 that they stated they fixed, but yet, my daughter s car is not starting and the reader is showing the same code. We now need to take it elsewhere and we are out $360 for an issue that was not fixed by the obvious crooked team at Jerry Cain Auto. Good thing I teach two lawyers so I can get legal advice regarding this matter as I don t take to kindly to getting screwed over especially financially. Not to mention how the whole situation affects my daughter.

I recently had a fuel pump replaced. The staff at Jerry Cain Auto were very helpful and professional. Yes, the cost was more than I had expected, but it was for them as well. (I have an uncanny ability to buy cars that require expensive parts to repair.) As I looked up pricing on the fuel pump, I saw that they were very reasonable in their pricing, as well as knowledgeable of the quality of the part they ordered. The part was ordered and the work was done in a very reasonable amount of time. To be AAA approved speaks a lot of their reputation. I would recommend them to anyone who needs mechanical repairs as well as body work. (I have a friend whose car was hit by a deer, after this staff worked their magic, the car looks like new!)

I have dealt with Jerry Cain Auto long distance as I have a child who attends Clemson near by. They have always been great and honest to work with. Larry from the shop always communicates with me prior to doing any work on the car. Good folks.

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! Our lab's truck has an engine light on for three years and the mechanic at the university mechanic shop checked it for a couple of times and told us it is nothing worth fixing, just the sensor. But then our advisor once checked the truck at Jerry Cain's. They told him that the car needs fixing immediately ("otherwise it could be very harmful") and charged him 400 dollars. Only after two weeks, the engine light came back on, and they want to charge our advisor another 400 dollars to fix it. Of course, our advisor didn't do it. The truck has been running strong with no issues until now with the engine light still on. The Jerry Cain's are not trustworthy. Also they charge people check-up fees even if all they did is to plug a code reader to your car and provide the error code to you. You can get free error code check-up at any auto-parts store or Walmart. My advice: avoid the Jerry Cain's auto.

Jerry Cain and his staff are the best around for auto repairs and body work for your vehicle. I have been using this shop for years and Jerry Cain is one of the most honest folks you will ever meet. I have had all my body work done for multiple vehicles, and most of the repairs on my cars done there. I purchase all my tires from this shop. Cain's will tell you if there is a problem with your car they cannot repair and make suggestions of where you can take your vehicle for repairs if they can't do it. There is a reason that Jerry Cain's Auto & Body Shop has so many repeat customers in the community - Jerry cares about his customers and treats them fairly!

Jerry Cain Auto has to be the best place to take your car in the southeast. My son who is a student at Clemson had some difficult problems with his 2006 Honda Civic but Jerry took care of it. He and his staff are very helpful and honest about what repairs you need and his prices are very fair. If you are a student or parent of a student take your car here.

I have utilized the services of Jerry Cain Auto twice now, and both experiences have proven to be provided with excellent service and impeccable results. All staff members who helped me throughout both experiences were polite, experienced and most importantly knowledgeable about everything they were doing to my car as well as how they managed my experience. I want to thank their entire staff and I highly recommend their services to anyone in the Clemson/Pendleton area.

I took my car in to have it serviced for strut replacement. I was told if I dropped it off over the weekend, they'd take a look the following Monday. Monday came, and I received a call saying that the mechanic was out sick and they wouldn't be able to look at it until the following week (or something along those lines). Okay, fine. So again, I dropped it off the following weekend, was told they'd look at it on Monday. I received a call yet again saying that because of the holidays, they wouldn't be able to get to it until the following week. After having it for two weeks (I left it there the second week since I was out of town), they finally got around to looking at my car and gave me a quote. I decided it was too expensive for now and that I would come back to have it serviced, and asked that they leave the key under the mat so I could pick it up that night after hours. When I went to pick up my car, the interior was soaking wet, to the point that there was condensation inside on all the windows, and it absolutely reeked of mildew. It had rained that day, so clearly, they left it out in the rain with at least the driver's side window down (the driver's seat was soaked with water). Oh, and the battery was dead, although I'm not 100% sure I can blame that on Jerry Cain, but it was just one more thing to have to deal with. So not only did it take two weeks for them to even look at the car, they trashed the interior, and I'm having to drive a repulsive-smelling car, and because the seat is still wet, I have to put towels on it every time I drive it, re-drying the towels at night. I will never take any car here again.

I just got back from Jerry Cain Auto as a first-time customer. My Ford Focus '14 Titanium was quoted $440 for front and rear brake pad replacements by Lake Keowee Ford. I thought that I was steep so I wanted a second opinion.I heard via Reddit users that Jerry Cain Auto has a good reputation in the neighborhood around Clemson University so I wanted to give him a try. The mechanic there (a gentleman who looks like John B. McLemore from the world famous S*town podcast by the way) was able to beat Ford dealership's price and saved me $125. Additional 5% savings were given because I paid cash.I recently got tires at Walmart and noticed a pull to the right when driving straight. I wanted Jerry's mechanic to check it out while he was doing the brakes and he was able to align all for wheels for $80. Mary at the front desk made sure to test drive and verified the alignment before calling me for a pick-up.I just drove the car back to work and it was a perfectly smooth ride. Brakes felt good and the car drove straight. The positive reviews about this business did not lie. Don't be put off by Jerry's online responses to a few difficult customers (being Asian, I was slightly perturbed at a stereotype he was insinuating in the June 2016's reply to a Mr. Jei Li's Google review, saying that Asian customers are difficult ).Having said that, I think he means well. His staff and he clearly are very proud of their work. I will be coming back around with more business.

We have been traveling from Maine and had a total brake failure. Jerry Cain auto assessed the situation and went out of their way to fix the brake lines in question in a very timely manner. The mechanic even came in early to complete the job! That's what I call great service.

Arrogant and irresponsibleI send my car to this place to repair after a collision at my rare bumper. They told me my car need to replace bumper case, some paint work and some frame work. The estimation is about 19,000. I agreeed without asking any discount or bargain. Then they told me this can be done in one week. Two weeks later they called me to picked it up. After the repair, the paint work is actually pretty nice. But the new bumper case is obviously not align properly with my car, and my trunk can t be closed softly.I complained about this, the owner says it too late today and it was a Friday, he wanted my bring my car back one next Monday , he will do some extra work on it.So I did bring my car back, left there and they said they will fix it. One hour later I got call from them tell me to pick my car, I was surprised. I went back I can see they did some change but it was still not good. For the trunk, I said you should able to close it without any effort. But the guy who is in charged just start to open and close my trunk so hard and told me it's all good. For the bumper case, cause it was so obvious that it s not properly aligned with the car. They not trying to deny. Instead, he told me that s what I got for the money I paid.Come on! The price is what you ask for! And you never give me other options , and I never ask for a bargain. The most ridiculous part is just when we are arguing about this, the guy just turn around and left as if I was being iresonable and he just got enough of it.As a international student here in Clemson, I really don t know how to deal with this kind of people, so even I felt like I was insulted and mad, I just left.

They were not able to remove the nail in my tire and was very honest about it. I came with a problem, they gave me their recommendation, and sent me on my way. If I went to any other place, they would have told me other problems with my car to get money. These guys are very straight forward and honest. Highly recommended if you're in the Clemson area.

Poor customer service. They acted like they didn't want my business. They quoted me an outrageous price for a minor fix to my bumper. I went to Clemson Body Shop up the road and they were able to fix my car within 15 mins! I would recommend going there instead.

We were going to buy a car for our daughter from someone in Clemson and called this place to see if they could do an inspection before we bought it. I was told to bring the car by, no appointment needed, but when we got there the next morning, all of their car lifts were already being used. Even though we had come at a bad time, they still were super nice and went through the trouble of taking a car off the lift just so they could get ours up for the inspection. Car checked out fine, and afterward when I asked how much the inspection cost, they said no charge!! I insisted on paying something, so the lady told me I could tip the mechanic if I really wanted to, which I gladly did. I chose this place because of their good reviews, and in my experience they're completely worthy of all of their 5-star reviews and then some. And if I ever need any work done on my car, this is where I'm going to go...and I don't even care that it's a 45 minute drive from me. Finding a good mechanic that doesn't try to overcharge is definitely worth the drive.

The folks at Jerry Cain Auto are very helpful and professional. They know how to fix cars well and will work quickly, efficiently and at the lowest costs possible to fix whatever the problem is. If you you ever need an Auto repair place anywhere near Clemson South Carolina you should give these folks a call.

I m a young female, probably my first mistake. My window button stopped working I knew it was just the button. They told me it would be 300$ to replace the master switch so I told them I would come back when I had the money. I looked it up a master switch was a 28$ part and I YouTubed how to do it. 10 MINUTES! It took ONLY 10 MINUTES, 28$ and a completely inexperienced 24 year old woman. My car window is in perfect working condition. I don t appreciate being taken advantage of. Fair warning this place will try and rip you off.

If i could give 0 stars I would. I would not trust this shop to screw a bolt in. I did once and now im faced with $1000 of repairs to fix their bad workmanship.I came in to get a spare put in my 2004 Saab. There is no record because your workers saw no need to process it because they did not charge. This happened in late July. I'm not trolling honestly I wanted to look past, move on, and simply look past this unfortunate event. I'm only posting now because so many people have refered me to Jerry Cain as a good mechanic shop since then, and my conscience won't let me ignore people as they walk into a bad decision. I go to my car and look at the body damage because Jerry Cain couldnt properly tighten the bolt on my tire which resulting in it popping off on the road. I think about the $436 I had to spend on a new hub assembly and the ~$500 for now needed body repair.

I took my mother's van to Jerry Cain for an estimate to get the sliding door issue fixed and he took it back and less than 10 mins later brought it back. He sat at his computer and worked up an estimate for 584.00to replace several things that were not necessary. I took it home and looked at it myself And saw that all it needed was a henge assbly. I ordered the part and put it on myself in about 15 mins. .It was a 16.00 part! It now works just fine. He thought that because I am a woman that I wouldn't know any better. He was going to cheat me. I'll never take any vehicle to them as they are dishonest people.
