Went to batteries plus Saturday because my motorcycle battery failed at the gas station. The young gentleman behind the counter was amazing and we even load tested the battery and it was obviously bad. but since the battery was under warranty I had to leave it overnight for testing. So I bought another one. Returned the next day to an older man saying my battery was all charged up and was good. I asked if he load tested it and he said yeah it tested fine. Then I asked what was the cold cranking amps he said good. He kinda had a sarcastic attitude. I walked next door to advance auto and they tested the battery and it had 9cca. The man lied to me because he didn t wanna warranty an out of town battery. This was dishonest and a blatantly disrespectful. I walked back in and asked him again if he tested the battery he said oh yeah it was good then I showed him the read out and he decided to test my battery in front of me and it failed horribly. Hope the owner of this business gets rid of this employee and promotes the young man the day before.

This place sold me a battery on 4-26-22 for my atv. it was the xt14a-ah and the battery did not last more then 1 year.. the atv is garage kept and does not sit outside and is used often . Unfortunately No reason the battery should have failed this soon.. They only give you a 6 month warranty and no pro rating .. they will not help or discount a new battery.. I asked if i could get a better warranty then 6 months because as u can see the battery will not last after 1 year of normal use... I would not buy any batteries from this place... VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.. I WILL BE Sending a message to the better business bureau.. BAD COMPANY DO NOT USE THEM !

I called last week and was told that my battery for my Iphone would be in today. I drove there and they promptly helped me curbside. Since they weren't too busy, they could install my new battery quickly so I chose to wait. Before I turned my car off, my warning light came on that my key fob battery needed changing. So when they returned the phone, I had them replace 2 fob batteries, with, I might add, a lifetime warranty. Love these guys. Very quick, very professional and very helpful. I totally recommend.

Had my iphone fixed here , got it back home, and set it on the desk... After a few hours I heard a "pop" ... the glass had cracked from the top all the way down to the bottom, just like the phone was crammed back together. I called in and it seemed like i got the brush off. I'm willing to give these guys another chance. I'm going there tomorrow in person to see if it gets remedied, if so this goes back to 5 stars, because I did get a good motorcycle battery here last year.

I went in to find the little light bulb from my night table. They had it. The service was excellent, the price good and the best part was the experience and advice of the manager. I will be back many times over.

Being from out of town, I walked in with my dead car keyfob, I was greated with a smile and the nice guy replaced my battery in a couple of minutes. Great service by nice people. Nice store with many gadgets. Highly recommended!

Love this place. Has almost every battery you need. They will put it in for you ( watch ) & it's a lifetime warranty which I love. Many places won't do it unless you purchased watch from them, this place will. I definitely recommend for all your battery needs!

Went online and ordered car battery for my Nissan Titan. Outstanding price and was professionally installed by Tim right at the scheduled appointment time. Dale and Tim were working hard as store was packed on my arrival and throughout my visit. All customer interactions were knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Thanks guys for a great experience. I will be back!

Broken screen on my Iphone. Made the appointment online (and saved $10), got there, they replaced it and wham! BACK IN BUSINESS!!!! The guys were great. Very polite and Customer Service oriented. It's not the first time I have dealt with this Location and will not be the last! They have a Customer (and my friends & family) for all our needs!

I spoke with an employee on the morning of Saturday, 6 March regarding a battery replacement for a battery that my father purchased for his car prior to his passing away. The battery was not working so a family friend took it out of the car and brought it to the store the day prior. He was required to leave it so it could be checked out and charged. Saturday morning I had not heard anything from the store so I decided to contact them myself and ask for a status update. I should have waited for our family friend or my husband to call the store since I know very little about batteries and their warranties... the employee was obviously irritated by this.The man was extremely rude as I asked questions about the battery and the warranty and how the process worked. He repeatedly interrupted me and was very condescending. He asked me what the battery had been used for and when I said it was in my dad's car he told me there was no way that it was used in a vehicle. He then continued on to tell me that it had undoubtedly been used in a way that it was not intended to be used....with a huge attitude. Without a doubt, he questioned my integrity and insinuated that I was lying....this was 100% uncalled for. I'm not sure if he was swamped with customers or had another reason to be irritable, but I know I did not deserve this phone conversation. When I hung up the phone, I drove to the Myrtle Beach Costco and purchased a replacement battery for $114 after fees and taxes with great customer service included. My dad purchased this battery from this store in July 2019 for $148. This experience is very unfortunate and I'm sure is not representative of this company or its employees as a whole. However, this was my only experience with this company and I assure you that in the future I will go out of my way to avoid any purchases in any of these stores.

My dad's watch needed a new battery. I bought the battery I needed on their website and then I got an email telling me when it was ready to pick up. It was ready within 10 minutes. They couldn't change the battery for me since the watch was too big and they didn't have something for it. But I mostly needed the battery so I could get it changed by someone else. The gentleman at the register was very polite and nice. I went in, he got my order and I was out in 5 minutes. No hassle.

Needed a battery immediately. Found battery needed on line. The web site said in stock. Purchased as in store pickup. Drove to the store and was told they don't have the battery.Not good service and business should not offer pre purchase without having the product.In addition the store was unable to print any conformation of refund.Extremely disappointed in integrity of Batteries Plus.

This could not have gone more smoothly. Ordered easily on line, selected store to pickup. We were notified quite quickly that the truck battery was ready. Popped in out of the blue a couple days later. Boom. Installed fast, credit card reimbursed for turning in my battery, and back on my way. Simple. The only way to go. And good price.

I was really pleased with this store.On the surface, my visit to Batteries Plus might not sound like much to get excited over: I needed a watch battery, and, after showing the clerk what I needed, I got my new battery. Though, my satisfaction came from the store itself, which was, simply, good -- a nice storefront, genuinely friendly service, a reasonable price (and on-site recycling of my old, dead battery, even). Given how easy it is to have a bad experience at a business, in any number of ways, I consider such an all-around positive transaction to be something to smile about, however "small" and routine that transaction might be.So, a big thank-you to all the folks at this store, for providing for me. Keep up the good work :-)

Very helpful and professional. The service they provided was quick and thorough. For $20 I got a new watch battery installed and it will be replaced for free for life. That's a great deal.

I was impressed. I ordered a battery from here for my newly purchased truck. I wanted a high-quality battery that would last, and, after a lot of research, came to the conclusion that the Batteries+Bulbs X2 Power Premium AGM battery was the best out there.They had 930 CCAs and a 60 month free replacement warranty and is an ultra high-quality battery.The store I ordered it from was out-of-stock, and someone from the company called to tell me that and to let me know that if I kept my order, because of several factors, it would be two weeks before that store had the battery. They cancelled the order for me, and I ended up redoing the transaction (I got to keep the discount for ordering online) and get the battery from another local store which had it in stock. I went to pick up the battery and the local customer service was good as well. If I remember correctly, the gentleman who helped me at the store in North Myrtle Beach, SC, was named Cameron. He was very knowledgeable about his job, and, even though it was close to closing time, was very helpful and offered his assistance in any way he could while I was installing the battery. (They offer battery installation, but I came with tools and did it myself because I was unable to get there until several minutes before the store closed.) Overall a very pleasing experience.I wish more store had customer service like this. Highly recommended.

This shop is the best. I called about 10 different places in the area looking for help with my Razor Electric Scooter and I was given generic responses by all of them, while the guys at B & B actually went out of their way to encourage me to bring it in. It was then checked for free, opened up for free, and they even offered to charge it overnight (because I didn't have a charger) just to be 100% sure and thorough about their diagnosis. They were kind, knowledgeable, and when I basically begged to pay them for being so awesome, they said to drop the tip into their jar for a local charity. 10/10, will give all my business to this shop and tell friends and family to do the same.

Went to change my watch battery and the guy Mike broke my watch - couldn t put the back piece back on watch. Asked me to send the watch to someone else to fix I said no thank you, so he asked me what he wanted me to do. I asked for my watch back. He gave it back to me, broken, with the old battery. Wouldn t even give me the new battery, seriously? This place is so bad! When I came another customer had a difficult time with another employee.

Alex was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous, as was the other gentleman that checked me out as Alex was with other customers when I came to pick up my phone. My phone was fixed promptly and very convenient hours of operation. I will recommend them to anyone else looking to fix their screen or needing batteries.

I don't have their names handy, but everyone at the North Myrtle Beach site was as helpful and as nice as can be. I would absolutely recommend Batteries & Bulbs to friends and family, and even to strangers. I did a lot of research on what I wanted and to be honest, Batteries & Bulbs was the only one in the area that carried what I needed and better yet, the price was the lowest I could find. They will do you right!

I needed a battery for my 2012 Mini Cooper Countryman and they had it in stock.Alex told me to order it online to get the 10% off and I could pick it up at the store the following day.Meanwhile, he set the battery aside for me and the next day I picked it up without waiting and it was ready to go.Very pleased with their customer service and efficiency.

I purchased 2 batteries in November 2017 for my mother in laws new electric wheelchair. It has only been used it a couple of times. I took the batteries back to Batteries Plus Bulbs in North Myrtle Beach and was told they will recharge them over night and call me. Two days later I called them and was informed that only 1 battery was recharged and its going to take longer for the other battery. 1 week later I called and was informed that the one battery is dead and I will have to buy a new one. I explained that these are just 1 year old and only used a couple times that something is defective if only one recharges. The employee on the phone said he can do nothing but leave a note for Chris the manager to call me.3 weeks later I went to the store to get the batteries. Still no call from the store. I arrive and explain I left 2 batteries here to be recharged. Employee Chris brings them to the counter and says 'The batteries are no good, 2 years old and out of warranty you'll have to buy 2 new ones". What happened to the one battery they said DID charge a week ago??I replied, "As you can see, the activation stickers are 10/30/2017 and that's not 2 years old". Chris raised his voice and said "that's 2 years old, defective or not it s your problem". I asked to speak to the manager and Chris said "NO". I asked what's the corporate phone number? Chris said "go look it up". I asked Why are you acting like this and he mocked me repeating Why are you acting like this? Take your batteries and get out, you are not a customer . Feeling Chris anger was getting far too escalated, I took the batteries and got in my car. I called the corporate office as I was sitting in the car, Chris was at the store window staring at me.I am over 50 years old and cannot recall ever being treated so rudely and having such a bad product experience. Nor can I recall ever feeling so abused by a retail experience that I felt the need to follow up with customer service, the Better Business Bureau and my next call to the Chamber of Commerce. $140 for 2 batteries that last less than 13 months with 2 or 3 uses with NO warranty or pro-ration?? To top it off, the rudest/most intimidating retail person ever encountered?One of my hobbies requires extensive specialty lighting for which I burn batteries. It s cheaper and just about as fast to buy online, but we always try to support our local businesses. It s embarrassing to have this business in North Myrtle Beach and I ll never purchase there again. You can be sure I will tell everyone I know not to go there either.

Spent over $300 for my screen on my phone to be fixed. Not even 3 weeks later it all started cracking again. When I called Alex was very rude implying that my phone "magically" cracked on it's own and would not help me. He said I must have dropped it and there is nothing they could do except give me $10 off to fix it again. I will NEVER go back to that particular store. Not fixed, spent $300, and was treated terribly.

I would give zero stars if I could. I order bulbs through these guys very often. This time they ordered the absolute wrong types of bulbs charged me differently and I waited 3 weeks for them to make it right. I finally get there to pick them up and I m told bc of price difference that I owe more. This wouldn t have been an issue if it were just my own money but I had already ordered and paid for them with the money from my register at the restaurant I m over. Not to mention the hateful attitude the young guy had! I d advise everyone to pls do their business elsewhere unless you want to make 4 extra trips out of your way over a matter of their own mistakes.
