My girlfriend had to take her 2021 Rav4 in due to a collision on the front left side of the vehicle (this is important, this is where the battery is located).We get the vehicle back, and not even 48 hours later, the car dies. All power is lost. Luckily, we were in a gas station parking lot when this happened. And luckily, I am somewhat mechanically inclined and knew to check the battery.Under the hood, I see that the negative terminal bolt is LOOSE. I could literally jiggle it with my fingers. The negative terminal cover isn't even on the battery (or anywhere on the battery, for that matter, no idea where that terminal cover went). The positive terminal cover is off. (See picture below.) So I tightened the screw (with the help of some kind strangers, as I didn't have tools with me) and got home.Due to Holy City Collision's SHODDY job of reassembling the battery after the collision repair, my girlfriend and I were left stranded. It is a miracle that this didn't happen while she was traveling down I-26 to get to work.The front office clerk was receptive and empathetic to the situation. The office staff and other employees are friendly. However, this does not negate the fact that the vehicle was reassembled improperly.I am writing this so 1. others know our real life experience after getting our vehicle repaired at this shop and 2. so this shop can be held responsible for what happened.

Very poor communication and customer service. I ll list some specifics below, but essentially just a lack of communication left me very frustrated by the experience.-dropped off my car and was given zero information whatsoever. There was no We'll be doing this, we should know this by X day etc.-The day I dropped it off and was literally stepping into my Uber home, the desk person calls me and says they forgot to get my key. If they had called 1 minute later, I would ve had to Uber back and forth 2 more times to drop it off, only to fix their mistake.-was told I would have an estimated pickup date after a few days. No contact from them whatsoever, and when I reached out it took them 2 days to even answer my calls.-Work was started / my car was disassembled without letting me know, and in the same conversation they told me it would be almost a month before it was done.-2 days before my estimated pickup date I call to make sure it was still good (since I hadn t heard anything from them in weeks). They told me it wouldn t be ready until the FOLLOWING week now.-I asked them if I hadn t called, when would you have told me the new pickup date? And they couldn t give me a straight answer.If you ve read this far just save yourself the headache and go with another body shop. I even sat down with one of the managers to talk about the experience and all they told me was yeah that should ve been better. We re working on it.

The paint job that I received from them looks great. I was happy to receive my car back. And her looking like normal. Communication was hard and I feel bad for constantly bothering them towards the end to get the car back. Unfortunately after having the car back for a few days my battery was completely dead. It was an issue when they had the car and I figured they would repair or replace it. I had to buy a new battery. Now almost 2 weeks later I noticed that my electronic lock on my passenger door isn't working. I'm the only one that uses the car or gets in so it took a while to notice. It's does not seem to be plugged in. While trying to fix this issue ourselves we noticed they didn't install the bulb back in for the passenger door. It's hanging off under the door card. I do love the paint job and I am happy to get my car back. Just these little things that could have been avoided are a bit annoying.

Walked in for an estimate on a scuff on my car door. Was told they "don't do estimates". I was encouraged to file a claim through my insurance. Not sure why when id be paying out of pocket. Very strange.

The work they did was good, but it took 2 months for me to get my car back when I was quoted 2-3 weeks. They were very friendly but it doesn t make up for the issues (also side note Progressive was the worst offender in all of this). I will say atleast the work they completed was impressive but unless you can be out months without a car with no warning, I d be cautious.

Very professional and friendly. Despite parts being on back order, they were able to find the parts and restore my vehicle. My vehicle was back to brand new. Their team did an excellent job. I am profoundly dissatisfied with the overall experience I have had at this collision repair shop. Holy City had my vehicle from August 1st, and it wasn't until September 12th that it was finally ready. While I do understand delays/mistakes, what was frustrating throughout my experience is that I have had to continuously pursue them for updates on the status of my car.The lack of communication from this repair shop has been nothing short of atrocious. I have had to initiate every single conversation to obtain any information about the progress of the repairs. At times, receiving conflicting stories from different personnel, which only added to my frustration.What is even more infuriating is their refusal to provide tracking numbers for the delayed parts or the contact information for the dealership. It is almost as if they were intentionally keeping me inthe dark.My insurance company suggested this repair shop as part of their network. My insurance company stopped paying for my rental car after a maximum of 30 days policy, leaving me to cover the cost out of my pocket (over $400).Considering the circumstances, this unexpected expense has been a significant burden, and I feel that the repair shop should have been more proactive in expediting the process.According to the repair shop, the delay was caused by the dealership sending the wrong part in a correctly labeled box. THE CORRECTED PART miraculously arrived late the prior evening once I finally pressed for tracking information and the dealership's contact details. The next morning I called to be told another part was needed and due to arrive the following morning. Again, this information was not provided beforehand.Any level of detail was given only upon my pressing for tracking information. I understand errors/mistakes and supply chain issues, but it does not justify the lack of communication. This entire ordeal has been a nightmare, and I expected better service and empathy from a reputable collision repair shop.In conclusion, while I am satisfied with the work, my overall experience with this repair shop has been nothing short of a disaster. Their lack of communication, failure to provide essential information, and overall handling of my vehicle's repairs have left me deeply dissatisfied. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice and reflect deeply on my personal experience before entrusting their vehicle to thisestablishment.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I had the best experience with Holy City Collision. I needed collision repair and they got me in for an inspection right away, sent me the most detailed estimate within one day, worked seamlessly with my insurance provider, and finished the work even before the estimated completion date. Their communication with you is AWFUL!! You fill out paperwork with phone number & information but what s the point . They don t EVER USE IT. No one calls you to give you status on you vehicle. Only time you hear from them is if you call. You are being warned I would NOT recommend specially my military folks , Please don t get tricked into going/ taking -or- leaving your car/ Vehicle with them!

My car was towed to Holy City Collision by my insurance company. I m so glad it was! From the first communication with Misty who answered the phone, then speaking with Cody & Craig along the way, it was some of the best customer service I ve had in Charleston during a really challenging time. They were knowledgeable, honest, and completely transparent about every step throughout the process. I will tell everyone I know to use Holy City Collision for any auto repair needs! Communication was non existent. The timeline for my car to be done kept dragging with no explanation why. Had to call in every few days to get an update and find out information. Missed a bent part so took even longer. Will never use again and passed this information onto my car insurance as well.Services: Painting, Body & TrimServices: Painting, Body & Trim

This place is the best shop hands down. My car was sitting at another shop for 17+ plus days they got it from then on I was treated like family. They were on time for deadline and made sure anything else I needed was taken care of. If you are looking for a good shop to call home this would be it!! These guys were the best!!! They know that reputation is what keeps people coming back. They communicate everything thay can do and what they can't. Their work is excellant and I can see no gaps in what they do or the work they perform. They are invested in the success of their business as they are the owners of it as well.
