I'm new to Charleston and this place.I didn't realize EVERYTHING was an appointment and I apologized for missing mine the day before. I assumed I could still receive a quote for the work I want done, so I headed up at 8am the next day. I know my truck. It has 460,000 miles on it. It needs new struts and shocks, and I know it needs a driver's side wheel bearing assembly. I've never met someone so arrogant, as to insist he still needs to look first to quote THAT work. If something else was found, I would have understood and agreed. It's obvious he's knowledgeable about his trade, but arrogance isn't wise.

Absolute best! So kind, friendly and efficient. Over the years they've replaced my alternator and starter, fixed my AC, got a key that was stuck in my door lock out, all sorts of things. I have had Charlestowne's Import Automotive and Chris do all the work on my Lexus SUV's since 2016. They are professional, straightforward, candid and honest. Their fees are fair and I feel comfortable that my car is safe and in tip top condition with them maintaining it. I highly recommend them to anyone for maintenance or repair

100% recommend! My exhaust was rattling and they took me in and fixed me up same day without an appointment. Friendly, speedy, and affordable. They even filled up my tire pressure which was low. Great service, thank you!

Chris and his team at Charlestowne's Import Automotive are the most knowledge, honest, fair and reasonable group of automotive professionals I've ever encountered. I have experienced other shops, but this one is the best. They truly care about the customer and their needs. I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else for service, and I tell everyone I know to take their cars there too.

Seriously you can't find a better garage. Chris and his crew are friendly, professional, fast, reasonably priced, extremely knowledgeable, and above all... as honest as they come. I've been bringing my cars here for years, for good reason: expert repair work for affordable cost and with exceptional customer service.

Best prices in town! I went to Hanahan Automotive (because it was convenient) and was quoted over $2000 to fix my Infiniti. After almost trading it in, I decided I would bring it here and let them give me a quote. How about over $900 less to make the same repair and they also replaced the oil sending unit. I was so thankful I had not traded the car and decided to bring it back to Charlestowne's Import Automotive. They had made other repairs in the past and will be the only place I will go in the future...for all three of my vehicles (the American ones too). Awesome place and about the most honest mechanics I've ever encountered.

Was recommended to them from the local vehicle processing station because i was shipping my vehicle that day went there and they pulled a car off a lift because i needed the work done within an hour. got it done in 45 minutes and my vehicle got shipped. Beth is a great receptionist that works there and chris and his crew are great trustworthy guys if i ever move to the area its the only place i would go to.

Was in the Charleston area from out of town when my starter decided to die in the Walmart parking lot. AAA tow truck driver highly recommended Charlestowne's Import Automotive, and I'm glad he did. They had the new starter ready to go when we arrived, and had me on my way in about an hour. Grateful they were able to accommodate me, as it was the afternoon before the long 4th of July weekend. It can be very difficult to find a reputable mechanic while out of town, glad I came here. I come to Charleston several times a year and will go nowhere else if I experience any other car trouble while in town. Thanks guys.

Ive been searching for a mechanic shop for a while. They were very nice and proffressional from the start. They were not over bearing like the rest. Eveyone was extremely nice, they did their best to get my part in asap, (even in the face of a possible hurricane!) They jumped on the work and got me on the road. As a tour business owner, that is incredibly important to me! I appreciate a local business like this!

Very welcoming crew, very fine work, at a reasonable cost. I came in with an issue with my 90' Jeep Cherokee, (electrical problem) and the technician identified the issue and had it resolved in about an hour.

Hands down the best experience I've ever had when it came to getting my car fixed...I had to turn my vehicle in to the VPC down the road and had to get my E Brake fixed ....the lady who owns this place was super friendly and knowledgeable as well as the mechanic chris who worked on my truck ...I wish all auto repair shops were this great ...I wish there were more stars so I could add an extra one
