I purchased a vehicle at Barrett Auto in October 2023. A 2010 Volkswagen CC. I was told that there were no issues with it whatsoever. They told me that there were no check engine lights on the dash, or any internal problems with the engine, or transmission. After I started this vehicle three times I got a CEL (check engine light), with error code P0299 on the diagnostic. Simultaneously I got an oil pressure error message on the dash. I took it to a mechanic shortly after and they told me that my car had internal engine damage causing low engine pressure, which could only be fixed by rebuilding the engine, and I was also told that the actuator in the turbo was damaged and the whole turbo would need to be replaced. The recommended oil pressure a vehicle is supposed to have is around 26-28 PSI, while the oil pressure test for this vehicle found oil pressure tested at 12 PSI. The total cost to fix this vehicle would be twice as much I bought the vehicle for. They cleared the codes on this vehicle and sold it to me and my wife as if it had no problems, as is also evident by other reviewers...

I have known Bubba & Andy my whole life and since they started their business. They are honest good people that sell good cars at reasonable prices. They also have in house mechanics to work on your car if you have a problem or need routine maintenance .

Just got a used suv recently with high miles. Even though I bought it as is with no warranty any and every minor issue I've had with it so far had been resolved.

Made a deal with one of the guys over Facebook marketplace. Agreed on a price as well as me coming to buy the truck after work. The guy sold the truck before I got there. In my opinion that s bad business. If I had been made aware that I needed to be there sooner I could have been. I guess being a good person goes out the window when your just greedy trying to get money.

I purchased a 2008 Jeep. He said he would repair a faulty clock spring and an O2 sensor. Because the check engine light was on. I was charged $80.00 for the O2 sensor replacement and told the clock spring was replaced also before I bought the vehicle. He cleared the codes but that was it. I had problems and found that the The clock spring was not replaced and I had to get it replaced. I replaced O2 sensor myself later. I spent over $2000.00 repairing what was supposed to be repaired before buying the vehicle. Do not trust anything he says.

Purchasing a vehicle from Andy was the easiest, hassle free, and quickest experience ever. And I've purchased dozens of used cars in my life. He gave me a great deal and the paperwork took 5 minutes. He even agreed to fix some small issues with the vehicle with no cost to me. I will definitely deal with him in the future.

We looked and drove several cars today and Andy was awesome and very patient. Needless to say we drove off the lot with a 2010 Ford Focus at a great price he was very easy and nice to work with and negotiated price. Very professional! Great service. Even allowed us to take the car to our mechanic to have a diagnostic run on the car.

Best people we ever met. Gave our Son great price . Car made noises as he reached home. Used car but Ricky told us to bring it back next day.. Problem was new . It was a big fix but was repaired , checked out, and returned with no extra charge. Christian way impressed us. Would buy from them again.

I have never done business with a dealership that has been in this category before. Andy and his team have worked with us since I walked through their doors and asked me how they could help me with my new car and then they started working together with me on a 2006 Chevrolet Z71 that was on the lot.That was just the truck that my son had been trying to get into, but he could not afford any of them until we started working with Andy and his team. We've been blessed with the opportunity to meet people who want to be honest and do others as they want to do to themselves. At the end of the day I was able to make a decision to do business with them without any doubt that they would do anything within reason to earn my business and we will continue to do business with Barrett's team in the future.

My wife and I purchased a vehicle from Barrett Auto Sales and the whole process was great, however, three months later we have put more money into fixing the vehicle than we did when we paid for the vehicle which includes a new transmission. If I had to do it again, I would never by a vehicle without a warranty or from any mom and pop dealer.

I purchased a 05 F-150 from them. Great group of honest genuine people. Had a very small issue with the truck I purchased and the great people at Berret fixed my concerns. Honestly one of the best small town car lots. Would definitely suggest purchasing your next vehicle from them.

The guys at Barrett are great. We looked at a bunch of cars and talked to the owner about possible problems and such with each. When we settled on a car and test drive, noticed a small problem that they fixed no charge. Price was low and the whole thing went smoothly. They do have a lot of older cars, but they regularly get good ones in. Make sure you don't sit on it if it's a good deal!

What a God send Barrett Auto was for us. I was visiting from out of state and my truck had a major problem. We thought we'd be spending around $5,000. I was told to go to Barrett. So thankful I did! They fixed my truck and saved me alot of money! I'm so very grateful to Bubba for getting me back on the road! Talk about honest, they could have easily done the $5,000 fix. Instead they offered an alternative fix and i spent under $500. So very, very appreciative!

This is my second car purchased here. Their prices are fair and will come down a little. They will fix a few small things to make you happy. Be sure to take a lengthy test drive you are buying a used vehicle. Nobody checks everything you might catch something they missed. These guys are very friendly and not pushy.

We have done business with the Barrett Auto Sales for years, and we wouldn't go ANYWHERE else for used cars. Most recently, we've purchased a Toyota 4-Runner and a Nissan Frontier. They are both great cars! The Barretts are honest, knowledgeable folks. If you are in the market for a quality used car, go see them!

Andy and Bubba are the most reasonable and honest car dealers/Mechanics that I have met. They do not try to over price their services or cars. When they give me a price, I don t even second guess it because I know it is the best price I am going to get. Long live Barrett s auto sales!!!!

Fair selection of vehicles. The prices are a little high for the mileage and conditions of the vehicles. I chose to get a BMW from Charleston that had a better price, lower mileage and showroom condition. Otherwise, decent selection of vehicles, courteous staff.

My husband and I have gotten two different vehicles from this place one of them we've only been able to drive a total of about three weeks are the cars in our name for about four months maybe 5 at Max come to find out when a mechanic looked at it there's about $2,000 worth of motor issues that need to be fixed i would expect some issue but not to the point of not being able to drive it. The one car sofar have put over a thousand into it trying to get it working and it stoppped running on me while i was working one day. Neither of these vechiles that we purched were neglected been keeping them up on fluids as well as replaceing tires. If i dis not take care of my cars i would not of have had a sincgle one last my 9 years before it falied on me so your assumption is not correct.

I came in almost closing time yesterday and everyone was so nice. I left with a great car and they had great service. I was reassured that I picked a great car out. I m telling people right now to go there to get a car.
