$1100 spent, three hours wasted, and headache I didn't want or need.I have a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 4.0 straight 6 motor. I came in for what I thought to be a simple oil leak. Unfortunately, it took two trips back and forth for them to get that oil leak fixed.About 20 minutes after getting my car back for the oil leak fix, and driving around to test the oil fix, the back brakes locked up while driving. My car was surrounded in smoke and was practically immobile after driving for more than 15 or so minutes. It was an unsafe vehicle to drive for any stretch of road at that point in my opinion.I then called up there to see if they could fix the locked up brakes, that somehow weren't an issue before they worked on my oil leak, and they said sure. I also asked about getting the transmission fluid and coolant flushed as to avoid a failure in any other systems, just wanting to do some maintenance and upkeep since it's a 20 year old vehicle. I figured, why not get other stuff checked and looked at since it's already in the shop? I wanted to do my due diligence in taking care of my car.Roughly two weeks later, I got my car back and was told the brakes were not an issue upon their inspection and a test drive. Suspicious of their tests and inspections, I took my car for my own test drive around Newberry. Roughly 20 Minutes after driving, my brakes locked up-- again. This time, it was worse for me, I almost ended up in a ditch on 121 because of how severely my car stopped/pulled due to the brake lock up.I called them to figure out what the issue was. I was told they only test drive the vehicles for five minutes at most in their diagnostic process. I'm no mechanic, but I know that sometimes vehicle issues take more than five minutes to pop up as the car needs to get warmed up-- Clearly, this is a dangerous shop and will likely get the pants sued off of them at some point. You'd be best served to go somewhere else if it's anymore than a parts change.

Took my car because I was having issues with the a/c not working. I asked if they could look at it for me and the first time I took it they said it was no issue and only refilled the a/c refrigeration. Still not working, I took it back and had them look at it again and then the second time they said it was the evaporator core and they couldn t fix it. Took it somewhere else and turns out it wasn t even the evaporator core, it was a busted hose. They clearly have trouble finding issues with the car themselves. Not worth wasting time there.Service: Air conditioning

Very friendly service center in the downtown area. Small town feel great mechanics. Will give you straight up answers and not overcharge. They also sell Ethanol free gas. Will continue to go here and definitely recommend them to you as well.

We are so grateful to Keith and his team for coming to our rescue today! We were passing through town and our serpentine belt broke, causing our power steering and AC to fail. Our car was overheating to the point of explosion. We were feeling hopeless after calling multiple shops that were either closed or simply not answering the phone until we found this service center. These guys are so precious. I walked up in there telling them I need antifreeze. I was then asked, what was the problem? I answered, that my AC is running hot. The look on his face , is when I realized I said something wrong. I busted out laughing , then he said that's alright, a lot of people call Freon, antifreeze. Now I don't know if that is true or he was trying not me feel bad. Anyhow, they took care of everything in not time. I'm chilling now.

The first word that people want to know about when coming to a mechanic is TRUST. That's why I give Livingston's 5 stars, I really do trust Keith and his crew. He will not do anything shady or try to bleed you for money. He will get to the bottom of the problem and fix it. Most people don't understand how things work so they get upset of something doesn't get fixed the first time...but sometimes you have to get to the bottom of a root cause and not just treat the symptom. Its hard to find someone that you can trust to not take advantage of those of us who are ignorant about the inner workings of our cars. When you find someone who is trustworthy, you stick with them. That's why Livingstons gets all of my vehicle needs.

Showed up to livingstons with smoke coming out of my hood from a valve cover leak. I spoke to Keith just 10 minutes before he was supposed to close up shop for the day and he stayed a few hours after everyone left to ensure that I made it back home in a safe and reliable car. I called a few other shops prior and they all wanted to charge me an outlandish price for the amount of work that was done. Keith gave me a more than fair price and helped me out when I was in need. I plan on going to Keith for future repairs as long as I am in newberry.Service: Engine repair

I brought my Toyota Tundra just to get the 3 UJoints replaced. I got my truck back and not even 30 min later my driveshaft dropped out the back end while I was driving. So I took it back to them and they said that the UJoint broke and they will cover repairs and found out the flange yoke was broken when the driveshaft dropped. So they repaired it by replacing the flange yoke and UJoint but never replaced the driveshaft that hit the ground and was knocked off balance. We took it back there because it has a vibration throughout the whole truck that wasn t there before they touched it and all they said is it s cuz your front tire is bad . I m sorry but there was scratches on my driveshaft so that should have been rebalanced. I wouldn t go here ever again knowing that things tend to fall off after they say they fixed it and in the end made things worse.

Put their 93 NON ETHANOL!IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!I was so happy I could find a local non ethanol 93 octane fuel. My car runs smoother and I do see some increase of power when I hit 3rd gear.Great gas always busy.

My tail lights weren't working on my trailer. I pulled over at Livingston and he quickly diagnosed and fixed the wire on the spot.Highly recommended. Thanks guys.

They are not mechanics, they are parts changers. Definitely do not take any foreign vehicle to get worked on! Two tows, Two separate bills. Had to bring my mothers car two times and both times the car continued to fail! Waste of money honestly don t think they knew what they were doing currently taking my car some where else because the car is over heating literally only 4 days of having it back!!!
