This is my third year staying at Seawatch and I m torn on how I feel. The location is amazing and we love walking right out to the beach, however both this year and last I ve had issues with my room. (Same room each year coincidentally) The rooms could stand to be slightly cleaner but even then they aren t terrible, but mopping the floors would be appreciated. The biggest thing is the dishwasher wouldn t work, not even well enough to rinse coffee off of the coffee cups. Both years. Then again plenty of items needed but missing from the condo s kitchen baking sheet and oven mits for example just to be able to cook anything in the oven, however when I borrowed the items from someone else staying there, I found the oven was so dirty it immediately started smoking and set off the smoke alarms which I remembered had happened last year too. When I would attempt to use the washing machine last year it was so loud and smelled of burning so I was nervous to use it this time around but to my surprise I was happy that it was only loud and didn t smell. But when I put items in the dryer, one of the items came out ruined from getting caught on some part of the dryer, it had ripped the strap clean off my tank top.All of that being said about the room, I was happy for the amenities but ended up pretty disappointed when each hot tub I tried to get in was lukewarm at best. It s such a bummer because we REALLY want to love our trip but two years in a row we ve had issues with appliances in the same room so it appears they were never addressed since last February. We want to come again next year but we re nervous to book after this doesn t seem like it was an isolated experience.

Booked a room for two nights for four people. The sofa bed mattress was absolutely horrible, you could feel the springs. I requested the mattress to be replaced but was told its an owner s responsibility to keep up with rooms? (We are not owners, then why rent rooms for non-owners?) I was just offered extra sheets, so I asked for 5 extra blankets and was given only 2. It did not make a difference so we had to have one of the kids sleep with us and use the couch cushions for the other.I know Wyndham standards and this hotel isn t it!!!! Only nice thing about this place is the location and views from the room.

We have stayed here multiple times most of the rooms has been all right, but the last time we stayed this weekend ... It was horrible experience, very dirty pubic hairs everywhere. Most of the TV's didn't work in the rooms but one. The woman downstairs was very rude and hated. Her job did not want to be there... I felt nasty and left early ... We'll never stay again ... This is the first time I didn't leave a hundred dollars for the cleaners ... The room with completely fallen apart .. Very disappointed ... This was our go to place to go. Visit myrtle beach a lot due to racing

Room wasn't ready on time. Restaurant is overpriced for a buffet breakfast. Tiki Bar is overpriced, not well stocked and not timely about opening. Sales with Wyndham is ALWAYS pushy and this place was no exception; called me every day of my stay even after being told no. Only one working ice machine on the entire property. The location is great, parking is plentiful and the rooms are comfortable.

I was surprised to see so many 5 sitar ratings. I wish that would have been my latest experience. Unfortunately, not though.I like this resort. It was the first place my husband and I stayed when we became empty nesters 7 years ago.The best thing about the resort, friendly staff incl maintenance who are so thoughtful. Indoor pool and hot tub. Nice view of beach.Downside-during off season the pool and hot tub are open to anyone. We were sharing the hot tub with a kindergartner and a teenager with water guns. I wish there could have been times designated to adults and to children. Also, they do not provide towels for the pool or hot tub. So make sure you pack some. Also, there s lots of dog owners on the beach. So you might encounter some poop. The hotel provides lots of trash receptacles which some people overlook and there is a beach sweeper but I think they only operate M-F.Lastly, the noise from repairs/renovations really interrupted our days. So loud it drowned out the tv.Rooms: The aesthetics are dated. The bedroom looks like what you d find in 1 star motel or a truck stop.I tried to post photos but I could not find an option to do so. The mattress was springy so maybe bring a mattress topper with you. The kitchen is nicely equipped, and the bathroom was more updated, and had an adequate supply of towels. The living room area offered a nice view of the beach.Safety: There are bolt locks on the doors (front & balcony) and a safe in the unit. There is a guard post but I guess it s only occupied during peak season. This visit was off-season.Noteworthy details: There were renovations or repairs taking place in one of the units near the one we were in. Off and on for 3 days we heard sawing, drilling, or sanding-some days lasting for hours. The front office said owners are allowed to work on their units up until 6:00 pm. Basically all day and into the evening. I fully understand the need for this but as someone on vacation trying to relax and enjoy the beach, it was frustrating and dissatisfying. I tried to post an audio but could not find options to do so.

It was our first time staying at Sea Watch resort and it was a wonderful experience!!We enjoyed the amenities like the pools, lazy river, tiki bar, etc. we had a nice oceanfront room and enjoyed watching the sunrise and going to the ocean. Our room had 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, washer and dryer and balcony that we loved! Definitely will be back here again for a beach vacation!!

Sadly, in the six months since we were here last, there have been some negative changes. While they have enclosed some of the pools for colder weather, they have stopped heating the lazy river and outdoor pools. While I appreciate the enclosed pools, I want to be outside, in the sunshine, in a heated pool. My son, who will swim in really cold water, said it was too cold. When we brought this to the attention of the desk staff, they were very unhelpful.Additionally, there were several broken items in our room from missing curtains to unsafe lamps.

This was our first time staying at Seawatch Resort. We were in the South tower oceanfront in December 2023, beautiful view, hot tub and indoor pool available. Lots of activities to participate in, fire pit and smores available. Staff were very accomodating and all we had to do was call them and they would send up whatever we needed. Loved our experience here. Would highly recommend.

I would suggest people visit and stay but I feel there are major issues from cleanliness to maintenance. Showers had stains that couldn't be removed by cleaning. Damages that haven't been repaired but covered my paint. Towels with stains. The flooring, glasses, plates, and ovens weren't cleaned in multiple units occupied.Walkability: Multiple pools and hot tubs, arcades, events, and the beach in walking distance.

My husband and I have stayed here several times in the past. But this stay was different we stayed in room 614 in the south tower, the room was clean and mostly quiet. But the beds are the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on, I should say no sleep at all. The furniture in living room very uncomfortable. Other than that it was a wonderful stay. You are close to walmart,Tanger outlets, and restaurants.Rooms: Clean like I said bed and furniture uncomfortableSafety: Always felt safe

This was our first trip to The Sea Watch along with it being our first trip to Myrtle Beach. Our room was absolutely amazing! It was super clean, no "hotel" smell! The beds were very comfortable, the shower was perfect; overall a perfect room for our long weekend. The Pool, Lazy River and area was excellent and easily accessed. The Beach access was perfect, showers to rinse off at the perfect place. The beach was never crowded either. The Beach chair rentals are quite high, I'm not sure if they're through the resort or a service, but highly recommended to bring your own. The parking is extremely tight, but we always found a spot fairly close to the entrance. Every employee was super friendly! We had to have medical equipment delivered beforehand, Carrie at the front desk knew exactly what and where it was with ease, she even loaded it onto the cart for us! We had a very pleasant conversation and it made our day! The resort is perfectly located for stores, restaurants, and about 20 minutes from the boardwalk.Overall this is one of the best Beach resorts I've ever stayed at! We will definitely be coming back!!

Decided to take a last minute trip to Myrtle Beach, the rooms here were clean & had great amenities included, my view of the ocean wasn't great, but we were less than 10 minutes away from restaurants & the outlets & that was a plus it rained majority of the time so didn't get the enjoy the balcony or beach much but there are indoor pools & check out was at 10am which was kind of early overall I'd definitely stay again or recommend!

Allie and Marvin were so nice and welcoming. They were so kind and it was fun talking to allie. Marvin made the best waffles and while I waited he talked to me which is very nice.

This is the second time we have stayed here and this room was much nicer than the first as it had been recently updated. It was clean with comfortable beds and the staff were accommodating but check in was a bit slow as there were long lines (which I found a bit odd on a Thursday). The location is great because it's on the beach and close to some great restaurants, plus there is a lovely private lake in the back, and you are somewhat removed from the bustle of Myrtle Beach. The fire pit was going at night which was great and the pools and hot tubs and lazy rivers never disappoint. There was a good bit of noise from the pool making it up to our room (we were on the 3rd floor) but you could mostly only hear it in the common areas and not the bedrooms which were both ocean-front.

We just spend a week in a beautiful, clean 2 bedroom, 2 bath individually owned unit. Our family will be going back. We booked direct from the owner by messaging her on Facebook messenger (Joanne Higgins Tabor). She has 3 units in the North Tower to choose from. The oceanfront views are amazing. Shopping and restaurants close by. Covered parking deck attached to building. Lots of pools and hot tubs. Inside her units the kitchens are fully stocked (except for food). They did a great job updating this unit with new appliances, furniture and mattresses. Nice nice washer and dryer in the unit. The unit was the cleanest I've ever stayed in.

Unfortunately, I need to update my review. Though it is a family oriented resort, last year and this year we have noticed a decline in room cleanliness. We rented through Seawatch last year and this year, not a realtor or management company as we have been staying with the resort for over 14 years either through the resort or VRBO. The resort has numerous pools and hot tubs with 2 lazy rivers. On site tiki bar, restaurant, Starbucks and ice cream. BUT last year the room was not cleaned, dishes had left over egg and grease on them from previous guest and dirty cups and silverware. The room itself had to be cleaned by night Staff after we noticed urine and a dirty tub as well as filthy floors. This was addressed in a survey my husband received after our stay. This year the floors were dirty again, so I mopped them, the kitchen sink and tub needed a little cleaning which I did as hair was left in it. We didn't ask staff to clean again this year, just brought product so we could do a quick clean and settle in. We noticed a mildew smell which was helped by using an air purifier we brought just in case because we travel a lot and never know what to expect. The balcony had not been vacuumed in quite a while. Overall the cleanliness has become an issue for us we we would prefer not to have to pay extra fees through a rental company when we can pay the resort for the same service. We just can no longer provide a 5 star review as was the case pre pandemic, though we understand staffing issues are everywhere in this area right now. Hope to see the resort back to its former 5 star status. Definitely not the worst by any means, just have a little work in cleanliness in some areas.

This is my second time staying at Sea Watch. I enjoyed my first stay my experience this visit makes me question if I ll come back. Check-in was smooth. When we arrived to our room there was food in the refrigerator and the knob to the dishwasher was broken. Made me wonder if the room had been properly cleaned or if the dishes were sanitized and washed . The room was nice but dated. The next day when I begin looking for pots to cook breakfast there were no dish clothes, dish washing liquid or pots. The front desk staff sent a house man to deliver what was missing. The wait delayed our day. I also noticed mold on the wall in the living area.
