This place was in a perfect location. Great price for the 2 nights we stayed. Only issue we had was our air conditioning wasn t super cool. We made do with what it did cool and there was a fan in the room. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. We would definitely stay there again. Older place to stay but rooms on inside were updated and nice.

My friend and I recently stayed here for 3 nights and we were very disappointed with our stay. Other than the great location this place had absolutely nothing else going for it. There were so many things broken or not working it was horrendous. Door handles came off, toilet paper holders were hanging off the walls, toilets didn t work and we were given no towels and had to take them from the employee closet, even the ladder of the pool was coming up from the ground. When our bathroom wasn t working we told the front desk about it and it took multiple different phone calls and 2 full days before they just moved us to another room after lying about having a maintenance man on the way . Very disappointing. Also no one was ever working the front desk, we had to call a number anytime we needed something and would have to wait for someone to come out of thin air to assist us. Overall, we made 15 plus phone calls over 4 days of different complaints. The workers just did not seem to care about their guests and the experience was dreadful. Save your money and stay literally anywhere else!!

We enjoyed our two night stay at the Holiday Shores Motel in late May & early June. The room itself was clean and updated, and I was impressed with the brand new mattress. You can also access the beach quite quickly by crossing the road and walking just a short ways. Like other Airriva ran locations, however, there is never anyone in the lobby. You have to call a phone number posted on the front door for any issue, problem, or need that you may encounter. For example, we did not have any towels in our room upon arrival. It took about 10 mins from the time of our call to then receive some, which I know would've been frustrating had we had to do that every single day. Your room is also not cleaned every day, which didn't bother us, but I know is a pet peeve for others. This motel is quaint and updated, and we would stay again if the rate was at the right price.Rooms: Updated roomsSafety: In a safer part of North Myrtle Beach

Where do I start. We booked this hotel on a whim. We read all the bad reviews and came prepared even with our towels. Previous review said there wouldn t be any and they were correct, no towels located in the room. That wasn t the problem though, the problems started as soon as we walked up to our room. You could immediately see that there was a HOLE in the wall. We thought ok we will call them and get switched to a different room no biggie. Contacted the hotel they said they would contact the team. We were like ok let s go get dinner and by the time we get back we should have heard something. As we go to leave our room, we can t. We are locked in the room we literally just checked into. Again, contact management and we re informed they will contact the team again. After being locked in and highly frustrated at the lack of urgency by the 18 year olds running the place and this entity the team. We ended up having to kick our way out of this room through the rotted out 1/4 in plywood that we initially asked to be switch because of. Needless to say, we left the hotel went to the Comfort Inn in Conway. Super friendly staff. No hole in the way. Room keys work annnnnnnd if you have a problem guess what they have actual management you can contact. Just save yourself and family the issues and leave this place alone.

We had a nice stay. They honored our choice points which is always a plus. I stayed in a King room with two kids. It was certainly tight but the new updates did make the room feel comfortable. I enjoyed the new shower. Usually I hate staying in places with a run down bathroom. Not ideal to stay with small kids but over all it was a nice place if I would have been just alone or with my husband. Very quiet area and the grounds are kept very nice. My kids are loud as anyone can imagine with 4 and 6yrs old but no one complained or came to our door. My son clogged the toilet and the front desk came with a plunger asap. Over all it was a very comfortable stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! We had a couple small issues in the beginning but nothing major and it was taken care of right away. Its only a couple minutes to walk to the beach and it s very close to attractions, shops, and restaurants. We loved that it was a small hotel we got to know a lot of other families. The entire staff is awesome from the front desk to housekeeping! Ron especially was our favorite! He really made our stay enjoyable! He is a keeper! Thanks Ron! Overall we would stay here again!

LePorche at the front desk was the only reason we stayed after a 10 hour drive our reservation rates had a glitch charging us over 900.00 for 3 nights. Manager couldn t help clear it up, so I cancelled then was given walk in off the street price at half what I was charged before. Stayed 2 nights in a small room upgraded to a suite lol. This has been our only place to stay in Myrtle Beach for 30 years the former owners were like family. That is no longer the case, in fact I was told by the manager loyalty to former owners don t apply to new owners. Very disappointing to say the least. All the renovations that have been done there means nothing in trying to make it a resort! The prices are way way over the top for a small vintage motel like this.

So I have to say that this little hotel among Giants was pretty nice. It is a vintage seaside hotel with 27 rooms and a Bungalow. The hotel has been complete updated and is terrific. Now I used reward points to stay so I definitely wasn't as picky as some people may be. The staff was terrific and they give you anything you need. My kids absolutely loved the salt water pool and it was less than a block from the beach. No, I have to be honest. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because apparently the staff has no problems allowing open air and in room pot smoking. It may be against their rules and it is against the law in South Carolina, they did nothing to stop or eliminate it. I have no problem with people smoking it or something, but not around my children who are 10 and 5. Then again I bet if they were to say something to the people that were doing it it would cause a huge scene and be turned into a completely different issue. Also there happens to be a gap under all the room doors that where dirt, light, smoke or any Crittercan pass through if it wants to. Also they in no way I force any quiet hours. There is a really cool commons area and cabana for quest to use and they allowed people to party well into early morning hours. All in all the little hotel is nice, especially if the gap. In ALL the room doors are fixed. It just depends on who your neighbors are. A fun fact also, anybody that is a Choice Rewards member go online and purchase points and use the points for for your stay. It ends up being way cheaper that way then just pay cash for your stay. This is the perfect Little Gym to stay in Myrtle Beach away from all the commotion and yet close access to everything you could want. I was reluctant to make a review wanting to keep this place a little secret!

Not managed or maintained very well. The house keeper Tiffany did a really great job though and was super helpful in the best way that she could be! We have stayed here several times and it just wasn't as great this time as it used to be. They did do some updates so it looks nice but the shower setup is just dumb. It has half glass but it's on the wrong side so water just goes everywhere. Not very logical.

I love this place! Everything is awesome it smells so good n the rooms they're so clean. Only thing bout the room we don't like is there's no microwaves, and no full shower door only half of one, so our water soaks the floor and it stays cold because you can't trap ur shower heat.. fridges r too small for me.. but I still five them 10stars the lady up front is amazing, and over the top with accommodation, and customer satisfaction! She deserves a raise! Or two! She knows percent how to be the best at her job and we appreciate her!!

Well... maybe it s not the owners fault however I drove over two hours with my 2 children to our stay. I was told there was plumbing issues and I was moved to another room that was more like a cave( a corner pocket room- not a pool view -as I booked ) two ... the room had one bed, not two - yet it was very nicely decorated or updated. It s obviously an old motel but modern updates. That s not the half though. My son showed immediately there was water everywhere. It was a water fall from the ceiling. Within minutes, our floor was covered in water - the hall, the kitchen area and living. We were not offered another room as there were none. There was no help in finding us somewhere else. Just an I am sorry and shrug ? I am glad we weren t a family that traveled over that two hours like some do - even still we were on the road late at night driving back home. It was an awful experience!

Cool retro vibe. Got the 2 bedroom with kitchenette. Perfect for a weekend stay for 2 adults and a teenager. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and shower had plenty of hot water. Didn't use the pool but it, and surrounding area, looked nice and clean. Quick 5 min walk to the beach and several restaurants.

Horrible experience the rooms were dirty I literally had nike shoe prints on the ceiling of the bathroom the room had rodents and after a 12 hour drive the toilet overflowed onto the floor took 10 calls to get someone and all they did was drop a plunger off never checked on us our asked if the problem was fixed . On my last day they offer me $35 cleaning fee and a 10 % discount for my next stay a straight joke if you ask meRooms: Trash not cleaned and simple things like toilets don t work and the tenant is expected to fix there own issues

This place is an old school kind of place like I used to stay in when I was a kid. Very clean! Wonderful staff! Accommodations were great and perfect location. Nice and quiet place and prefer it over loud busy resorts. Quaint community feel and all the guests mingle by the pool. Will definitely be staying here again! Rooms are very cozy. Love love love this place!

Retros 50 Motel with a new dress.Unfortunately still has a lot of old problems. In room 202 had some roach friends with me.Poor shower redesign still no water pressure. Also glass stop short they used a shower curtain to complete the shower stall. Stall should be glass inclosed.Refrigerators on floor.King bed very uncomfortable no box spring.Had huge 1 foot perimeter around bed that knocked your knees bad . Had a poorly engineered night latch on door. Both doors needed weather stripping on them. Has a high price point for off-season rates.Needs a hot tub. Mainly a place just to rest your head. Not anything close to a resort. Need to realize big condos around have a very low price rate in off-season.Needs to be a Budget Motel. Quit trying to pass off as a resort. An old 50s Retro Motel with a new Thrift store dress. May God bless America during this difficult time in American history. May you seek your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ daily. Because we need him now more than ever. We should be worshipping and praying more now than ever before.

This place is quiet, decently priced and in a great location. Our room came with a kitchenette, two queens beds, and pool-side access. The staff is friendly and the motel is kept clean. There is a place to wash your clothes, an ice machine, and vending area. It is also located one block from the beach and is close to restaurants and attractions. The pool is nice and ranges from 1.5 ft to 6.5 ft. There are plenty places to sit in the pool area and towels are available. If you come in the off-season you will pay a decent price. I highly recommend staying here.

We have stayed there for 3years now. Staff is awesome, motel is older but very well kept and always clean, unbeatable for the price. Pool is nice and quite. Close to the beach and it is great to park your car just outside you room door. Our whole family loves the place and really don't see staying anywhere else, suits us perfectly!!

Had a great stay while on vacation in myrtle beach. Staff was super nice and friendly. Made you feel right at home. The property is well maintained. Just minutes from the beach and other amenities. I would definitely be back again.

This is a hidden little gem. Brought me back to the 70's growing up at Fort Myers Beach, FL. It is now closed in order to complete a full refurbishing to make the suites modern. But they have a full functional kitchen; stove, oven, sink, full size fridges and cabinets. They supply all cooking utensils and plates, etc. The beds were large and comfy. The staff are such amazing people. The salt water pool was sparkling clean and cool on those hot sunny days. Sits right across from the beach!

I just had an extended stay at Holiday Shores. Every thing was perfect from the housekeeping to the front desk. Mr. Chuck and all of his staff were pleasant, friendly, and most helpful. They treat you like your the only one there. We hod no problems at all ..All the other gust were friendly , quite and present to talk to. I would recommend Amy one to come and enjoy a present stay at Holiday Shores. The pool is checked every morning to make sure you have a clean and safe place to swim. . Take my word this is a quite place to spend a vacation.

Its an older hotel, but it is very well maintained, very nice and very clean. The staff from the front desk to the housekeeping were friendly and helpful. My wife and I decided to have a long beach thanksgiving weekend with all you can eat lobster at hooks calabash for Thanksgiving dinner. We stayed at the super 8 a few months ago and that experience almost kept us from every coming back to Myrtle Beach, thank you Holiday Shores for restoring our faith in the fine hotel owners of the area. We really enjoyed our stay here and will return here on our next trip to Myrtle Beach. Holiday Shores in now our 1st choice when visiting the area. Its was a great experience with great pricing.

This place was in a great location, but the service was terrible, We stayed from Fri till Sunday, the room wasn t cleaned daily , we were given 1 towel and 1 washcloth each , we tried to call for more, and no one answered the phone, so I walked down to the office and It took a while still for 1 more towel and washcloth to be given , some have chairs outside there room , Ours did not, We re an older couple and sometimes you just wanna sit outside .Will not use this place again

This was a very nice hotel in North Myrtle Beach. Newly renovated rooms with a pool and other amenities, this location was great and close to the water. It was also only a short ways from the boardwalk at Myrtle Beach.

Cozy and quiet just like home but, the bonus is it's a block away from beach. Loved it! Paid @$250 for off season stayed Wed-Sun. They had a nice pool from 1.5ft -6.5ft. washing machine & dryer, ice machine and vending machines. Office personnel very friendly and helpful with everything I inquired about.
