Relaxed hotel with beach access, outdoor pools, hot tubs & lazy rivers, plus a casual bar & grill. The stunning ocean views from Grande Shores are worth every star. Whether you re sipping coffee on your private balcony or lounging by the pool, the shoreline stretches out before you, inviting relaxation. The indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, and lazy rivers provide endless fun for families. And if you re planning a wedding, the grassy beachfront lawn sets a picturesque stage.I felt right at home, even miles away from the hustle and bustle.

This was our second time staying in penthouse 34. This made the 4th time our friends (who we are with stayed in this suite). We have loved the views. The couch and chair in the livingroom could have been more comfortable. The staff were extremely quick to respond to any requests. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options and very tasty at a resonable price. The Chase lounges by the pool, we're very comfortable and convenient. We will definitely stay here again.Rooms: The beds were comfortable. The couch and chair could have been more comfortable. The stackable washer & dryer were nice and looked new. It would be nice if there had been a mirror in 2 king size bedrooms.

We experienced a very enjoyable weekend at Grande Shores. We were pleased with the professionalism and responsiveness of the staff, starting off our visit on a positive note. You can't beat the location and the rates were very reasonable. Although an older hotel, the room was neat, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend and would return again, next time staying longer!

I am currently in my suite trying to relax, unsuccessfully. We paid for an ocean view with a balcony that we cannot access because of construction which is now directly above us and incredibly loud and seemingly without end. No one at the hotel informed us of this work either at booking, before check in, or when we checked in at the front desk. We found out from this super helpful sign on the balcony doors. The intent was to also work remotely from the room during the day which is completely impossible with this INCESSANT NOISE. No reasonable hotel guest would expect this. AND, for a super fun time, maintenance likes to walk in unannounced and uninvited and scare you to death. Lock your doors if you dare stay, there's no guarantee a strange man won't walk in while you're in the bathroom ladies!

Stayed here near the end of March for our honeymoon. BAD DECISION. Constant and i mean CONSTANT construction, RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR DOOR. Drills, banging, painting, everything. I felt like we were in the middle of a construction zone. Pools? All closed but the indoor one and guess what? Two days into our stay it s closed! We ask the front desk when it s gonna be open again, they say Maybe tomorrow or the next day hopefully . The hotel itself is EXTREMELY outdated and our floor stunk of marijuana. Power went out our second day in and we had to use the stairs and walk down ELEVEN flights to get to our car. Definitely a big downer on what was supposed to be a celebratory vacation.

We had a horrible experience with this hotel. We booked a 2 bedroom condo. I was celebrating a milestone Birthday. We received a phone call on our first morning there telling us not to use the kitchen sink or the dishwasher. It was never repaired in the 3 days we were there. We were told they would wash our dishes for us. This would have been a terrible inconvenience. We had purchased a lot of food and planned on cooking most meals in the condo. We had go out to the store and purchase paper plates, plastic cups and cutlery. A good hotel would have offered to put us in another room This did not happen. The only thing the hotel was willing to do for us was to allow a 2 hour late check out and a credit of $40. The credit they offered wasn't even enough to cover the cost of the cooler we had to.purchase to take our food home in since we couldn't cook in the condo. We had to wash dishes in the bathroom sink. We rented the condo so we would have a kitchen to cook in. We could have paid a lot less for a room with no kitchen. I spoke to the manager upon checkout and he was very rude and unconcerned about our inconvenience. Fortunately we have lots of other choices for Myrtle Beach hotels in the future. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere.

Overall the stay was ok. The price was good. I only stayed one night for the Myrtle Beach Marathon. I was by myself. Check in/Check out was ok. Does not have a microwave. Furniture is outdated. Room was a lil dusty and Service given by the females at the front desk was NOT good. They need more training in customer service.I was also not fond of the rooms opening up to seeing the parking garage. Imagine coming out your room and a man just sitting in their car looking at you.... wish I would've took a pic but I woke up late for my race and had to rush out.Overall I would recommend but would make sure next time my room is not facing the parking garage.

I enjoyed 2 nights here before Christmas with hardly anyone around. We had a fantastic view from the Pent House level. Rooms were spacious and clean. I was especially pleased that the TV lineup included the Thursday night "Prime" football game. Would definitely enjoy another visit in the future.Nearby activities: We enjoyed shopping at the Tanger Outlet as well as a nearby shopping center.Food & drinks: There are many places nearby to enjoy meals of your choice.

Had a nice 4-day stay in a 1-bedroom condo last May. VERY cheap for beachside and walkability to restaurants, etc. A little pricier during the summer, but it s still worth it. 7th floor pool deck has 5 hot tubs, a full-sized pool, and a lazy river. Didn t even mind the ground-floor pool was closed, and not to mention the massive beach just feet away. On-site restaurant was nice with fair prices, but it would have been nice if breakfast was included in the price. The water was always choppy, but that s the Atlantic for you. Probably the best deal for a modestly-budgeted staycation in Myrtle Beach.

This has been the winter of our discontent. Constant noise and lack of privacy due to ongoing renovations. Absolute disregardfor patrons trying to enjoy a peaceful stay by the ocean. Not even on President"s week-end did the work stop. We would never recommend this resort, as it appears the management has no regard for its guests,

The Grande Shores was an older place but well maintained and clean. The beaches were nice and right outside the door. There numerous small pools and hot tubs that were kept clean. The location is what I would term South North Myrtle Beach. The further you get from South Myrtle Beach, the better. There were a hundred restaurants (not exaggerating) within minutes of Grande Shores.

The location of where it is does make it look amazing but the rooms are not what they seem in the pictures at least from my perspective. And when someone shot off fireworks the night me and my friends were there, instead of the security chasing the guys who lit the fireworks off they got mad at us who were quietly watching on the balcony.

I really enjoyed the place. It's nothing fancy but very comfortable, clean, good room service and amazing view and location! They have several pools, not big but anough for kids to enjoy, and the closeness of the ocean really makes the difference. There's a small kitchen in the room, which is fully equipped with kitchenware and tableware, refrigerator and microwave. Several elevators, very fast and with no line to wait, comfortable parking inside of the building. Totally enjoyed!

We had an exceptional experience at Grande Shores! Our 3 bedroom, corner unit was immaculate upon arrival as well as being nicely stocked with starter supplies, dishes, and cookware. The washer/dryer in unit was fabulous! We received fresh towels daily and trash pickup quickly when requested. The employees were very kind and welcoming. The beds were quite comfortable. The only very small critique would be that the wifi is not great, but we barely used it anyway because we were too busy enjoying the amenities and beach! We upgraded to this condo from a smaller one down the beach where we stayed for several years. We were outgrowing that one and were also looking for the convenience of elevators and in-unit laundry. This will be our permanent go-to spot in Myrtle Beach!

First thing the location was amazing. Waking up and looking at the beach was the best.So I didn t like how the pool closes @ 10 pm and due to the storm they closed early but the men didn t give everyone time to get back to their balcony before locking the gate so my children under 10 had to walk all the way around to the front door.. He was very unapologetic about it when asked why did he do that.Other than that the staff was friendly and very nice. We will be staying again next year!!!

The room was nice and spacious, however upon arrival an employee, maintenance I believe, came to say that he would be back to fix the sliding shower door. Our family of 8 all wanted to shower as quickly as possible. We did use the other restroom in the meantime, but didn't use the one they were suppose to fix in case someone arrived to fix it . Eventually, we called to get an eta and were told we can go ahead and use it as is since it had a shower curtain. It wasn't a big deal, but I do think it's dangerous. My sister years ago slipped and sliced her lip on the rail that holds the glass door in an old apartment, and I can see that happening here as well. The jacuzzi tub in the bedroom is very high to step into, so if you have trouble with steps, I recommend asking for an accessible room instead. The employees were all friendly. The view from our room was gorgeous. The a/c won't go to below 65, which is normally cold but for whatever reason wasn't cold enough to cool one of the rooms. It is an old room, but all in all, we enjoyed our stay, and would stay again.

Great Resort. Stayed for a weekend for work. The hotel rooms are a bit outdated and the soap and bathroom amenities weren t the best. However, the staff is amazing and the fact you a great a free dvd rental and tickets makes up for it.Would stay here again. I only rated it 3 stars bc it is more on the budget friendly side. But staff is 5 star!Rooms: A bit oudatedNearby activities: Beach10 min Uber to most activitiesWalkability: 10 min walk to grocery store and StarbucksFood & drinks: Vending machine , bar and restaurant availableNoteworthy details: Great staff

It's just a shame there is nowhere to go to get away from all the smoking, vaping and marijuana use. It is everywhere, parking garage, hallways, balconies, and even seeping into guest rooms. The most disappointing part is , the staff claims it is too difficult to "catch " them. We have enjoyed staying at grande shores every year for the last 7 years and have noticed this issue getting worse last year and this year was unbearable. We left after just one nights stay. Doubtful we will be back.

Loved our ocean front view on the private, furnished with chairs balcony! Pros: The room was comfortable with a stocked kitchenette and a full size refrigerator. Excellent AC for the humid days. A small restaurant that had a good breakfast selection. Parking on your floor with easy access to your room was the best! Stairs to the beach, washer & dryer access, room key on your phone! Cons: 1) unsecured access to the hotel & pool area. We witnessed a very large family walk down the public access road, enter the pool area with 2 large coolers, taking up tons of space that should have been reserved for paying guests. The 9 kids in tow took up the entire pool, that most guests just left the area. They stayed camped out until management came at 10 pm and had them leave. 2) Bugs in the room, I know the locals call them Palmetto bugs but where I live they are called cockroaches. Pretty frustrating for this being a North beach hotel. 3) the pizza flyers are out of control
