After trying two other places, I found reviews of Browns Car Care Center. I was able to get my 2012 Chevy Avalanche in, and Jim was able to diagnose and fix my brakes very quickly. I believe I have found my mechanic for my truck. My kind of place! Highly recommend!

My wife s car was having issues. We took it to Jon and within 5 minutes he told us what was wrong with the car, what parts we needed, and told us we could go but the parts and bring them back for him to install. The next day by lunch, the car was ready for pickup. And the quote he gave us beforehand was accurate. 100% happy!

After being referred from a friend of mine. N I have known him for over 40 years. I took my KIA to Mr Brown,. He quoted me a price. N that's what is was. In the end. Having mechanics / n everyone recommending / their cousin or uncle. I'm a little uneasy. About trusting. Just anyone. I am pleased w my friends recommendation. I have found a " Great Mechanic". To take my car to. Mr Brown, n staff. Will get my business. Thank ya Greg Eliason,. For the recommendation.

The most trusted mechanics and repairs in the Myrtle Beach Area. Prices are very favorable and surprisingly low. Don't worry, no work will be done without your knowledge and approval. No ripoffs with this business either. I tell all my new friends arriving here about Brown's Auto Repairs. Of course, all the older folks already know about them and I'm sure will agree with my review. Thanks, guys!!!!

Was traveling out of town on my way back home, transmission line busted on my truck, luckily I was only 1/2 mile from Brown's shop, even though it was late in the afternoon John Brown told me to get my truck to him if I could, I did and he went out of his way trying to find parts to get me back home, long story short, my truck was fixed, the cost was a lot cheaper than expected, and very friendly down to earth people, thank you John for being a great mechanic and a great guy!

He was recommended so assume his price is fair. Explained the repair. My previous mechanic in Canada was exceptionally clean and organized, John is the opposite, probably more typical of a mechanic, but personally I think it doesn't look good for the customers. Also I went on a Tuesday to get the diagnosis, he told me to bring it in on Friday, but when I arrived he didn't know who I was, no recollection. Obviously bad memory, another thing I was concerned about

I have three vehicles and I bring every single one of them here whenever I need work done. A truly honest mechanic who won t over charge you and try and get you to buy things that are unnecessary. I took my car to Mr. Brown to have some work done on the power steering pump.� I trusted him with my car because of the good reviews he has on Google. He called me a couple hours after dropping it off and told me I had to go "show him the trick to start the car".� I told him I never had a problem starting the car but I drove there to see what was going on.� When I got there he looked under the hood for about one minute before confirming he set off the anti-theft security system. He said he would reset the system. The next day he called telling me he couldn't get it to reset and that he was tired of messing with it and I needed to have it towed off his property.� So now I still have to pay for the original work it needed done because he didn't fix it, on top of something HE messed up (I have to have a new key fob programmed by the dealership),� and also the tow.� When I told him I thought he should pay to have it towed since he was the reason it was stuck he told me if I didn't have it towed while I was there he would charge a daily fee to store it. So he wanted to collect money over a problem he caused.� He was very condescending from the first time I called which I should have seen as a red flag but sadly, me being a woman, I've been treated that way by mechanics before but he was very rude and literally talked to me like I was 5 years old.� I definitely do not recommend his service!Service: Auto maintenance

I trust Jon with all my auto needs. He has done work for me on multiple issues and he always comes through. I dropped off my jeep with him in the mornings and each time, he completed the job and I drive it home the same day. I highly recommend Brown's Car Care!

Fantastic!! I called Jon. Told him about an air conditioning problem on my wife's car. He said bring it by we'll look at it. I did. He worked me in. He had a yard full of other automobiles. I was in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. I am not a local. This was a fantastic repair experience. I would highly recommend this business without qualification or hesitation. Mr Brown has worked on my cars for the past 15 years an several of my family members bring their cars to Mr.Brown as well. Hes very polite an always explains what needs to be done an always a fair price too. You never pick up your vehicle an have extra charges for work you never agreed upon

John Brown is a rarity In the auto repair business. He is ethical honest knowledgeable and his prices are reasonable. I totally trust John when he tells me what my car needs. I had brought the car in to get the four brakes replaced and he told me that the front still have 40% left and only changed the rear. He takes his time to explain everything in detail and is just a real decent guy besides an expert car mechanic. His shop reminds me of the shops I remember growing up back in the 60s. Just an old fashioned hard-working auto mechanic shop. Keep up the good work John. I highly recommend John Brown

I've been going to Browns for 8 years, and when I need fair service and want to know the job is done right and i don't want to get gouged in the wallet, I take it to John. All of my cars have been foreign models, so the American cars should be even easier and cheaper to work on (now im showing my ignorance!)Brakes, radiator, bearings, joints have all been handled professionally. Nothing major yet, but my latest brake job was $200 cheaper than at Firestone, and it runs (and stops) great!

I can t say enough good things about this man and his business! To start, I was told by two different sources to take my car here, so that says a lot! I arrived with a set of spark plugs I d purchased at Advanced Auto and also had concerns with my car staling at times. I dropped my car off around 9AM and by 2:00, my phone was ringing from Mr. Brown himself letting me know all issues were fixed! Both Jon and his assistant are the first mechanics I ve ever met who I feel I can totally trust! Not to mention, they are both incredibly NICE and patient! These days, you can t find a better shop...I m sure of it!

Great service! Told me exactly what was wrong and a great price. "Buy the parts yourself and it's cheaper" he told me. I was recommended to him by multiple people and now I know why. I will be going back to get my AC fixed as soon as the parts come in. Thanks Jon!

Its a great shop. They were a bit behind on car work orders and my car was an all day project but they were still able to manage to get it done in time. I would definitely recommend. They let me buy the parts for the repairs to bring in which helps save some cash.

The best mechanic in myrtle Beach. Jon Brown can fix anything. He is the by far the most honest man I have ever met!!! He will be straight up with you about your car repairs!!

This is a great car repair center. John Brown does great work and won't try to sell you repairs you don't need. Finding an honest mechanic who also does great work isn't always easy. You'll find him at Brown's Car Care Center!

This is a "pre" review. We have an old Jeep needs some work. Took it there and am awaiting an estimate on repairing rusted out brake line(s).Will update this "pre" review after work gets done. In the meantime, I'll start out by giving Brown's an average "3" rating.Update: A few days later Jeep is repaired and price was reasonable.Am changing rating to "5 stars".--------------------05/05/2019 update. Needed Brown's service again. Quality work, reasonable pricing. Great doing business with Jon.

I don t know how everyone else gets cheap prices I had to get a whole starter and that was only $394 and then I just had to get spark plugs, had to pay $900 I m not sure how plugs are more expensive but definitely won t come back.

Jon is a great mechanic and a good gut. He is very dependable and reasonable. I don't live in Socastee anymore but I wish I had someone like him where I live now.
