I brought my car here because it was making a funny sound. Car sounded worse within days of getting it back, paid way too much. Less then month later It broken down I brought It somewhere else and was charged a third of what Johnny charged and my car is running great now. Overpriced, I think he did something so I would be back and he could get more money from me. I know nothing about cars and think he took advantage of this

Werner and Johnny have been servicing my vintage Mercedes since I bought the car in 2017. They both are absolutely without a doubt extremely honest, and trustworthy people who have taken my car from a junker, to an extremely reliable daily driver. I have the upmost respect for both of these men, and the service that they have done to my car. They have rebuilt my entire front suspension, done some motor work, and transmission work as well as things in between. This is the only place I would recommend you bring your vintage (or modern) European car to be serviced. I cannot say enough good things about Johnny at Auto Ott. My family and I are 500 miles from home on vacation, and my electric trunk latch broke. It was stuck closed, and even the emergency cable release wouldn't open it. I messaged our amazing AirBnb host, Meredith, who called some locals, and one recommended Johnny.He was immediately sympathetic to our situation and told us to come to the shop and he'd squeeze me into his schedule. An hour and 15 minutes later, my trunk was fitted with a brand new OEM latch and at an extremely reasonable price. Kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and fair - you can't ask for more from a mechanic, especially so far from home. Thanks again Johnny, you're the man.

Great old-school mechanic. No frills, but no over chargers either. Honest as the day is long!Can do any job on your car. Very experienced in German makes & models.

Motor installed on my Chevy Malibu. Only problem is now I have no A/C. Compressor won t activate. A/C worked fine before my original motor failed. Johnny was at a loss and could not figure out why. He ended up telling me he thinks I MIGHT need a new ECM(computer module.)

i have been taking my car to Werner Ott since 1997 and I would not go anywhere else.. Best car repair service in eastern SC. Hi to Johnny,,great mechanic.
